Yeah, it would be cool if the empire used PsiTech and tribals still had psycasts with the anima trees, etc.

is it possible to get a version where it simply makes the empire only use psitech, but doesn't actually remove all the psycasts?

SO question.... i ended up asking the creator of PsiTech and now i need to ask you. Dose your Royalty adaption make any changes to the Original files because there have been issues where me and my friend would try and play Multiplayer and Obviously i would turn off PsiTech and the Royalty adaption since they are not compatible with Multiplayer but when he would try and join it says that our Config files are no longer the same as tho some thing had changed and it flat out would not be able to adapt to the sudden odd change that we had to Uninstall all modds and reinstall them to fix the problem.

Having given it more thought, I think there's a conflict between this mod and Alpha Animals, which has added in some new abilities based around their new custom ideology. That might be causing an issue and stopping this mod from actually overwriting anything.

Unsure if this is working. I have psitech and the merger installed, however my pawn just gained a psylink level and got Chunk Skip. I'm on 1.3 and shouldn't have any other mods affecting psycasting.

Does this mod add Royalty's psycasting powers as PsiTech powers? Or just remove them?

@Iron Xides Thanks for the swift answer. The said mod is Adjustable Anima Tree I launched My game With only hugslib, this mod (and psi-tech ofc), and linked mod (+prerequisites). The mod settings interface of the adjustable anima mod breaks completely. I've then tried launching it without your mod and it does work with only Psi-tech.

@切れ間ウォーカー The deserter quest gives you some of the techprints now, and you should be able to buy techprints from orbital traders. If you load an existing save, psycasts should mostly still work.

@Three-legged Wolf Shrines are unbuildable because psycasts aren't supposed to exist. Anima trees aren't supposed to be removed, but they're supposed to be just scenery now. Meditation is just a recreation type unless you have other mods that use it for other purposes.

If you tell me which mods break with this mod, I can possibly fix the issue.

Hey, been using this mod for a few days, but I really would like some clarification...
1)Does this mod remove meditation foci? I can't seem to build any of the nature shrine thingies.
2) Is it supposed to remove Anima trees? (I still have one on my map, but I use several mods that could be forcing it to spawn. The reason I ask is because some mods related to anima trees seem to break with this mod. At least for me.).
3) I get that the mod removes Psycasts, which is awesome, but what exactly does the rest entail? If psycasts are no longer there, Is there still a use for meditation besides recreation?

This is awesome, I'd been looking for a way to stop the Empire immediately implanting psi-powers in my pawns, but couldn't find how to roll back to the neuroformer gifting system, this looks like a damn good compromise! :D
(I use Rimworld of Magic and like to have Wizard Kings running the place without getting their ability lines bloated by psi-powers haha)

@ the techprints, I haven't gotten this yes as it's unclear how the mod actually works from the description. can you still get psitech without the empire, and what about mid save if people already have a psyfocus?

@sam1373 The anima tree currently does nothing. The Empire gives you psionics techprints when you attain specific titles, but doesn't do the research for you or give you powers directly. This could change but I haven't decided how to proceed.

@climate change > covid-19 It is probably safe to add/remove this mod mid-save, because it doesn't add any defs. I don't really recommend it.

@Arcanant I would consider other mods that use psycasting to be incompatible even if the game doesn't throw errors for running them simultaneously. I've tried to make it impossible to gain psylink outside dev mode, and removed infocard stats related to psycasting.

@Mcgeezax Empire pawns get PsiTech powers instead of psycasting.
