november 18th 2024 works (open sfm so it can download then change the search paths in the files)

I have the same problem as Fhroozt in page 6, even after I installed and changed the gameinfo.txt file it still remains black, can someone help?

To anyone in the comments rn asking for help, I made this 7 years ago so unfortunately I have no idea what's going on with SFM anymore (haven't touched it in probably 6 years), I'm seeing people are still getting it to work though so best of luck

i opened up the gameinfo script and my script looks slightly different, maybe i'm doing something wrong, looking in the wrong folder or something, anyone have the same problem?

What the heck are you talking about, gameinfo.txt is in the usermod folder. It's what drives SFM...

However, this fix was created before we had the Edit Search Paths function in the sdk, use that to move the folder now.

yo can you tell us where the texture at? in the file i think we better replace this with the bill's hat texture just hope it work my l4d2 texture or other game broken but bill's hat texture work lol so not worth the fix

Can you make the TF2 wiki cap? (http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/scale_small/4/48222/1826680-red_wiki_cap.png) the actual model. It doesn't seem to exist in SFM's base TF models.

I'd recommend that you turn the texture into a duplicate Bill's Hat, because whenever I change the Workshop's priority over TF2's files, certain models (like the Winger or Sandman) get a messed up texture. I am not sure whether or not this is due to other workshop items or this texture itself, but I would highly recommend doing what I recommended to make creating videos or posters with other workshop items a lot easier. Maybe you can just try ripping the Bill's Hat model and putting on the workshop texture, although I don't know if it would be difficult, because I have never worked with Valve modeling, although it should be fairly easy due to my knowledge of working with engines like UE4. Thanks, and I hope you consider this. :^)

Works great besides one issue. Whenever I paint it, it always turns out darker than it should... Is that usual?

Just highlight the workshop line, hit crtl + c, erase that line, make a space above the tf line and then hit ctrl + v so the workshop line is above the tf line.

When i open up the notepad only 6 "game" lines appear :( Some of them say diffrent things than what you say. Any help?
