It's really cool to finally see some Oklahoma assets on the workshop lol. Definitely my favorite building in Tulsa.

@Camdyn I found it, nice building!

@Jadeus of course mate! Yeah, I thought I wasn't gonna enjoy making the BOK Tower but it was the first building I made so I thought it would be an easy first asset. I agree though, I never saw anything from Tulsa except for the Meadow Gold sign, so I wanted to try my hand at it, glad you and so many others like them! I definitely will prioritize the more intricate, art deco and gothic buildings around here, yeah: I'm starting to work on the Philtower, Boston Avenue Methodist Church, and some stuff from Bartlesville even! Thank you.
Jadeus 8 Jul, 2021 @ 2:30pm
Sorry! I posted my comment before I saw that you already did a BOK Tower! Yours looks great. I was just saying that probably other modders have already rendered the World Trade Center many times over and for that reason may not be interesting to make (and also just putting out some local history). I'm adding all of these to my asset list.

Thanks Again.

I haven't played Cities in awhile (calendar months fall away like a montage in an old movie so I had to give it a rest) bur I still drop by the workshop to see what's new. As a Tulsa resident I'm elated to finally see some local color in the game. As Frank Lloyd Wright's offices were located in Bartlesville there there are many deco style and architectural novelties in the area.

Although the BOK Tower is an exact replica of World Trade Center 1 (although much smaller in size) it probably would not make a good asset for that reason. The Mayo Hotel and Atlas Life would be exciting to see, however.

As a modder just starting out I'm sure you'll want to stick with buildings for awhile, but the new Gathering Place would be an awesome challenge for any modder and a great park to have in the game,

There was a modder who did a series of Kansas City Buildings awhile back and are probably still available in the workshop as well.

Thank-you and awesome work!

@mason.frey1 Well you're in luck, I'm gonna post it in a few hours lol

Rather excited to see when you finally get around to doing the Devon Energy Tower and other big Oklahoma City assets.
shanttk91 7 Jul, 2021 @ 12:24pm
@camdyn no way?! thats awesome i love that building looks so modern and beautiful
Camdyn  [author] 6 Jul, 2021 @ 11:30am
@sam.lieu.t.e That's the Pace University Building, it's an amazing asset :) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2491159146

@mynetshare no, it should be called Mid-Continent Tower or Mid Continent Tower, with or without the dash. Maybe RICO is messed up. Can you find it if you just search for it with no parameters?
Engineer to Share 6 Jul, 2021 @ 10:40am
I can't seem to find the asset. Is it labeled something different?
sam.lieu.t.e 6 Jul, 2021 @ 7:39am
Lovely work! May I ask what is the short light grey building (that has a park) to the right of the First Skyline Bank in the 6th pic?
SanditeSpartan117 5 Jul, 2021 @ 11:45pm
That is damn good my friend! Wasn't expecting it to be released so soon! Thank you! I look forward to more Tulsa assets, like the Methodist church on Boston Ave. and maybe even the Boston Ave Methodist Church. Such beautiful and iconic structures!
garfild 5 Jul, 2021 @ 8:47pm
I love you for this. Do some more Tulsa/Okahoma buildings please!
icantthinkofaname 5 Jul, 2021 @ 5:02pm
I love your buildings so far! If you ever do Dallas, I would absolutely LOVE to see the Trammell Crow Center. It's always been probably my favorite building here (at least one of them, our skyline is too beautiful to pick just one favorite lol)
Regardless, very excited to see what you got up next! :D
Yoko Bozo 5 Jul, 2021 @ 4:12pm
Oh sweet. Kansas City could surely use some love. I'd probably suggest Town Pavilion and 1201 Walnut for Kansas City and the Wells Fargo Center and Target Center for Minneapolis as those are the more iconic of each of those cities.
Camdyn  [author] 5 Jul, 2021 @ 3:52pm
@крестоносец Yes! I plan on making quite a lot from the Midwest, especially cities I have been to multiple times (generally the southern midwest) like Wichita, Kansas City, St. Louis, and probably some of the smaller cities like Springfield and Joplin MO, and Peoria and Bloomington IL. If you have any suggestions go ahead and throw em at me!
Yoko Bozo 5 Jul, 2021 @ 3:16pm
This building looks fantastic. Are you planning to do anymore around the midwest? (excluding Chicago)
Camdyn  [author] 4 Jul, 2021 @ 11:08am
@shanttk91 Actually, the Devon Energy Center is in OKC. But, I am actually making that right now! :)
kranyarssk14 4 Jul, 2021 @ 10:31am
awesome!
shanttk91 4 Jul, 2021 @ 8:25am
can you make Devon Energy Center skyscraper that building is beautiful in tulsa
SuburbanSean 4 Jul, 2021 @ 4:20am
Looks good. Can't wait for more buildings from you!
Camdyn  [author] 3 Jul, 2021 @ 2:11pm
@Evametry ah yeah, thank you. I've started doing that recently, this was actually my first attempt at texturing a cities model (the BOK tower was textured after this one using textures.com) but I'm only now learning how to properly map textures, as I think my issue here is that a large chunk of the texture is taken up by multiple stories of the side of the building, rather than one row duplicated, but that's for me to solve in the modelling stage. I'll update this one as soon as I can, because I know the textures definitely need touching up haha. Love your assets btw!
Eva 3 Jul, 2021 @ 2:03pm
the best way to make something like this if there are no usable phototextures available is to make the textures yourself using whatever texturing program you use (like gimp) and textures from textures.com that fit the materials used on this building.
