For those who want to still use this mod delete the duplicates of the job files in the mod folder because those are what's causing the bugs/overrides. Unless you're one of the few people who actually got the necroids DLC it shouldn't affect your experience.

I did a personal fix for it on my end by removing all the overrides for non SCP-affected jobs and renaming the files but for those unfamiliar with modding delete the "00_specialist" and "00_workers" files in STEAM\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2538207206\common\pop_jobs and it will get rid of the bugs and, again, it doesn't affect anything unless you play with necroids and even then it's an acceptable fix until the dev can get around to updating it.

Well right now I couldn't if I wanted to. My desktop (where the files are stored) has been Out of Order for the last month or so. I think the SSD with the OS on it is corrupted.

I have been trying to get back into this but fixing the bugs it has acquired so far has managed to cause a CTD which isn't good because stellaris doesn't tell you at all what causes those.

With the 3.9 update, this mod is preventing trader jobs. Commercial Zones have clerks, but to traders.

bro a when day breaks origin would be so damn cool, imagine leaving your planet due to giant flesh sun monsters killing everyone and then return 100 years later with some fucking advanced armies and a weapon to destroy the sun itself

I will, eventually, update this mod. I have no time at present however. I don't actually know if it still works to be honest, but I do hope to fix it up when I get a chance in the event it doesn't.Feel free to report any bugs here in the meantime I suppose.

Alright. I'm actually more concerned this may be incompatible with ACOT though since despite my not knowing much about ACOT, it likely overwrites some of the same files I do in this mod.

The 2399 event is somewhat rare due to requiring a primitive civilisation, amongst other things, in the spawn system. It is a small event giving you an opportunity to view the malfunctioning destroyer as an uninvolved third party. Empires can take action themselves to save the primitives, ignore them, or simply observe.

Genocidals get bonus unity for letting the destroyer be.

Also yes all events have event IDs... although since it starts as an anomaly it would likely be best to spawn it as one first instead. It will, notably, possibly not work without a primitive in the system.

As far as I know, since I don't add any weapons it should be fine. I may have to tweak a couple of event requirements buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut it should work more or less okay seeing as I don't believe any are too particularly bothered by the changes to the vanilla game.

I'll take note of bug. It... Shouldn't be my mod adding anything to existing factions as far as I can recall. That is a good idea though.

As for the toxic god stuff, I'll think about it.

I hate to keep sending messages in the comments frequently, but there's no separate suggestion thread. Have you thought about integration with the Toxic God by having either special bonuses with choosing to integrate one of the Churches and quest for both gods? Maybe you could even use the Toxic God Knightly Order mechanics to make your own Church sect empire where you are questing to recover the pieces of Mekhane (although the Builders are the ones that really strive for that while some others are split between research/government bonuses and actually rebuilding Mekhane). What do you think about this?

@phantomcreator42 If the 'Fighting Death' desire by the Science faction is something added by your mod, it does't work. Cyborgization of all pops or researching Clinical Immortality doesn't get recognized as complete by the faction.

Alright so... it works... kind of. Empires with the start are going to be *heavily* dependent on colonies to provide basic resources but I think I set it up well enough that you wont be downright dead. You can still terraform at game start though, so there is that upside I suppose. But hey the origin should be playable in the next update now!

I could probably make an event which fires globally at exactly 1 month tick into the game by setting some *very careful* flags and cycles through all empires with the origin applying any necessary effects. Add some bonus city/industrial districts depending on player choice since the origin is all about salt the earth to some extent... hm that might work. I may be able to take a shot at doing this once I finish all the assignments which my college classes decided to dump on me simultaneously this week.

I think the largest problem here is the 10+ unemployed pops you get after the rural districts combust thou. I donno how that can easily worked around but I'm sure a solution can be found.

But yeah I'm in favor of working around the bug VS fixing it, it helps your origin be more unique and stick out more. I love unique origins <3

It's legos, it's all about "building" anyways, so I'd say go for it!

If you gave a little supplement boost for minerals,food, and energy to make up for no starting districts that'd be fine. (Maybe a planet modifier that gives these resources per working pop, I donno what's really doable in Stellaris scripting atm)

Also one month in you could give some minerals so you can build a few new districts to make up for your rural ones just combusting into nothing. (A little event prompt explaining this would be needed as well)

Work around a bug you can't fix and make it a feature instead if you can, good mentality :)
