Is the mod a scouting event?

Comic needs to be adjusted: the prosthetics guy didn't show up with prosthetic limbs for me.

I've gone 3 campaigns with multiple characters that have missing limbs and haven't come across this event. Is there a way to force the event? Or maybe existing transformations conflict with this mod?

Groovy.

Dude you should consider calling your mod the "Full Metal Alchemist" Prosthetic Limbs mod because the way these prosthetics look and function absolutely reminds me of that Animé LOL!

A question - if I lose an arm, and replace it with these prosthetics. Then later I lose a different arm - that second arm is still missing, I assume - it won't become a prosthetic the way it might with most themes?
What if I then do get a new theme. It will fill the gap of the second arm, but will it also replace the first one I lost, which is now your prosthetic?

just found this event as an assault event and i gotta report: it works like a charm! my previously hook-handed warrior can now hold off-hands and two-handed weapons again! my mystic's foot prosthetic is harder to see under a robe, but it's no issue with the gowns from the extended armors mod.
And finally it is as the commenter Steffy said, when you meet the prosthetics guy in the comic, he doesn't have any prosthetics, making for a very funny series of shots of his very regular arms and legs. Not a gamebreaker tho. https://imgur.com/cjtgtZj
Anyway, good job this is a good mod:steamthumbsup:

Got two people who are missing limbs but the event will not trigger.Anyone know why?
3ightba11 23 Aug, 2022 @ 2:33pm
is there any way to have a charachter start with these?

Hey, this is great. I will now give this mod a try!
dogkisser  [author] 11 Jul, 2022 @ 9:40pm
Let me know how it goes - this time I actually tested it past "does event give you thing".

For those curious the technical stumble was this: giving myself the theme with debug mode it operated correctly (could hold stuff), the event spawned the theme correctly (and *during the event battle* you could hold stuff), but COMPLETING the battle cleared the internal aspect that removed the maimed hands.

I made it so the arms themselves added that aspect rather than the event, and by all accounts that's cleared it up. Pardon the inconvenience!

What good luck - I got 2 new characters, both missing and arm and a leg each. Time to test this mod out .... again.

Just noticed it was one whole-ass year after last update! Time flies!
dogkisser  [author] 11 Jul, 2022 @ 7:22pm
Update: Now works! Shouldn't have anything to do with Warriors getting abilities one way or the other, but let me know if you find any OTHER problems!
Kinasin 8 Jul, 2022 @ 8:50pm
so this mod isn't safe anymore?
Robur Velvetclaw 26 Apr, 2022 @ 12:19am
ATTENTION - With Wildermyth having experienced the 1.7 update, some mods have been found to be interfering with the game. I am requesting you look into revising this mod because (A) the mechanical hand bug has not been resolved and (B) there are mods that now interfere with some abilities, ie Warriors not getting abilities.
R4m the Midnight Owl 25 Feb, 2022 @ 7:01am
I wanted to download, but previous commenters reported an issue with this mod.
Is the isuue with characters unable to hold anything in mechanical hands fixed now?
Daigoji Gai 7 Jan, 2022 @ 11:58am
HAIL TO THE KING BABY!

I can become Ashley "Ash" Joanna Williams!!!!!
Jawa Truka 5 Sep, 2021 @ 7:41pm
Same issue, Mechanical hands can't hold anything, so now one of my warrior peeps is just running around with no weapons.
Feezec 28 Aug, 2021 @ 12:02pm
Can you add the ability to craft limbs at a town, the same way regular items are craftable?
Incorporeal 22 Aug, 2021 @ 1:18am
Yeah, the mechanical hand can't hold anything.
Tubeman 18 Aug, 2021 @ 12:19am
I got the event and sacrificed 1 log to replace the off hand hook of a fighter. However, it still won't allow me to equip offhand weapons.
Also, same issue as Steffy.
Awesome mod, tho! Reeeeallly love the idea behind it. Looking forward to when the bugs get all ironed out.
Robur Velvetclaw 8 Aug, 2021 @ 7:31pm
Got the arm and a leg event, sacrificed 2 logs.
Like in the tech level of the Yondering Lands, it looks awesome - but still can't get double-handed items. An error? shame I can't get it to work.
dogkisser  [author] 3 Aug, 2021 @ 8:57am
That's very odd! He's definitely not supposed to, haha!
Steffy 3 Aug, 2021 @ 7:58am
Hi! I'm not sure if this is intentional, but for "An Arm and a Leg," when you're introduced to the inventor, the inventor is supposed to have 3 prosthetics according to the textual context right? In my playthroughs, which I've gotten the event twice, both times the guy would have all his limbs intact...
KLBR-L356 "Pengoot" 24 Jul, 2021 @ 8:26pm
Finally, I can one-up the Morthragi.
Mythophile 14 Jul, 2021 @ 9:44am
Unbelievably useful.

"Speaking of getting fancy, a follow-up event where you can further upgrade your limb into something REALLY special."

YES! This is what I want!

Really like the aesthetic of the mod, it's super cool looking, and love that I can retain some functionality of how the character originally functioned once more, without a magical element.

Fantastic addition that should have been in the base game. I'm with Smoker on his opinion though.

The requirements seem a bit steep to me, only because I very rarely ever have 2 people missing limbs at the same time, often because of other event-transforms or the game just not dishing out enough damage.
dogkisser  [author] 11 Jul, 2021 @ 1:43pm
@Smoker as for changing the number of characters that's of course possible I'll just need to rewrite the event! Also currently themes will NOT overwrite these and they also shouldn't grow during time skips, but let me know if they do.
Smoker 11 Jul, 2021 @ 12:43pm
Love this, i think maybe 2 people missing limbs is a little too much? Themes authomatically make your amputated limbs grow. Maybe could be triggered with only one character with prosthetics but some more resources?
dogkisser  [author] 11 Jul, 2021 @ 10:46am
@Deso currently no; there's technically a method to do that and it's what I would prefer, but I haven't figured it out yet. I will say the follow up event I'm working on will make it beneficial to hold on to them anyhow!
Deso 11 Jul, 2021 @ 9:03am
Can themes overwrite the mechanical limb?

Might stop save-scumming for this. :D
