This faction feels right, especially when defending. When fighting with these dudes to the end, it doesn't feel like you're fighting a cool sci-fi battle, it feels like you're fighting on the streets of Verdun fighting in house to house, defending every inch of ground you can before eventually either being overrun or barely pushing the enemy back to see the light of day the next morning.

Turns out using the mod forum version of the 4zk global scripts that allows actors to jump makes these guys stronger. Because they can jump and climb.

dude we gotta get the updated version, ive decked out pre sets of loyalist squads using cheap cost effective weapons and i find myself using loyalists for pretty much everything since i love the fact that they're so damn underpowered

Cool mod!
I've actually found that using cutters from the Endzone mod along with concrete parts, you can create a pretty decent entrenched tank. Maybe there could be a sort of machine gun tank, with a more powerful machine gun instead of the cannon?

They are not "his" loyalists. He uploaded this mod off of the Data Realms forums.
And they are not ment to jump as they are purposely made to be underpowered cannon fodder.

Adding a jump to the basic infantry would go a long way for this mod, as well as a shitty cheap jetpack for the brainbot to help get around early game.

Huh, thought the tank bug was removed too.

Well, if the problem persists you can remove the tank by:

Cortex Command folder > loyalists.rte > Actors > remove the Tank file

And in the place you removed the tank file (Actor file), there should be a config folder called actors.
On the second line there should be something mentioning the loyalist tank. Remove the entire line and save the file.



I really wish I knew the cause of the tank issue. I really like the idea and am sad that it must be removed to make the mod work well. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to make it work.

Can't believe theres no jump packs. Its a must for navigating unless you want to do some concrete spray bridge building simulator :steamsad:

Thank you very much for the update!

Sadly the fix was to remove the MG from the tank, as that is what was crashing the game. If I begin to understand how to mod more, I could try to include the MG and not have it crash at the same time.

I currently do not have the time to test right now, and that I apoligize for. But I bet you got it right- either way, I'll test it tommorow to see if its working on my end.

Like I said, I'm gonna try to see if I can get the turrent to work. That may take awhile, or it may never work. No matter the outcome I am going to try and see if I can make it happen. If I can, I'll post about it on this comment section. I am also going to see if I can make any more weapons and/or vehicles.

And again, thank you so much for the update. The tank was a hassle for some players for a while, and I'm happy to see that it is no longer an issue. Hopefully this mod will be noticed more with this patch.

Okay, I...maybe updated it properly? I don't know, I think I did. It seems the fix removed the machine gun from the tank, but, it no longer crashes so thats good.

Yeah, I deleted it because I found out that my version of the mod wasn't ready for publishing as it still had crashing issues. I probably should've informed you of that.

I think you'd be better off using Arkman's fix, as I haven't managed to complete my version yet. Here is a link to his comment and fix.

I haven't used that fix yet, but it has been downloaded 140 times so I'm betting you it works. If it doesn't work I'll have to mess around and make my version work.


His file should replace the "Tank" file under the "Actors" file.

Huh, actually still crashing. Gonna have to edit the lua file a bit more maybe... still don't exactly know if the work is worth it as a fix is already out there.

FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT. Was editing the lua file and not the tank.ini . Whoops...
Had to look at user "Feels" link to see if the other user had any info.

Again, I'll upload this if anyone wants me to- infact I could contact the author of this mod and ask him if he wants to update this with the fix.

I am thinking of trying to reupload the mod so people don't have to do this manually. I might even try fixing the tank, but that is if I am skilled enough to do so.

every time a tank gets destroyed, my game crashes, what should i do?
if there are no solutions, how do i delete the tank from the game?
i already tried it by deleting it from my documents, but my game crashed saying something from the loyalists was missing

go to this link to disable the gun.lua (reason why the game chrashes) this wil disable the seconday gun but wil remain the rocket launcher.

You are able to manually remove the Loyalist tank from the game via the game files.

I forgot how exactly to do it, but remove the folder that the tank is in. If it is the only thing in a main folder, edit the text file in the mod's main folder to not include the tank's file.

That is a rough guide on how to do it, but if you search up how to make mods/remove mods you should be able to get the hang of it pretty quick.
