@Murasame I haven't tested it, but it would probably only work on newly spawned items. Anything already spawned in the game would have the original stats.

does this work with existing save?

Seems to work on 41.56. Running 80+ mods. Nothing that changes vanilla food or cooking and it appears to be fine.
SoftwareDeeth 21 Nov, 2021 @ 10:55pm
@Operator did you do any testing to see if it works okay with 41.56? Im also a heavily modded player and wanted to know if it was working okay
Blaankket 28 Oct, 2021 @ 8:20pm
Planning an update? I'm too afraid to use this in the current version. I'm a heavily-modded player but I do everything I can in favor of compatability.

Is this possible to use on an existing game? (i'm on experimental)

This mod increase the calories of the vegetables?
SlightlyMadman  [author] 6 Sep, 2021 @ 7:33am
I haven't really tested this with b40 but I don't see any reason it would cause the problem you're describing, as all it does is update item stats in the txt files (there's no script changes). You should be able to remove it from your save without any problems though.

For some weird reason, I get an error when trying to use the ''vehicule mechanics'' with this mod. I can't work on my cars. I'm pretty sure it's this mod because I tested all mods one at a time with the core game and I think it's the one that causes the issue. Shame, this mod looked promising.

I'm still on build 40.43. Could this be the issue? Is this mod made for B41 already?

You can definitely still satisfy hunger and lose weight with strawberries, tomatoes, and radishes. Really the only way to gain weight even with cabbages is to gorge yourself. If you eat nothing but vegetables and only eat when you're hungry, I don't think you'll gain weight in game (same as in real life).

I would love it if map farms could spawn vegetables that could be picked, for sure. I think the raven creek map has some harvestable crops on the map, and it's a really cool idea. I want to keep this mod simple, but perhaps in the future. I'd also need to add harvestable corn so all those corn fields in game can be taken advantage of!

While i'm thinking about it, would make sense for the farms on the map to spawn some wild plots that could be collected. Not sure how you would balance this with player grown crops, maybe just make it really time intensive - low quality for the wild crops and player tended crops are much better.

You've done fantastic work here.

It seems the intent was to give hunger boost with low calories for certain foods, so you could maintain well-fed buff without gaining weight.

IMO they should add some other calorie heavy plants other than potatoes. Rice and oats (wheat) at a minimum.

Maybe split the list and make potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries relatively high calorie, while broccoli, radish, carrots and cabbage stays really low calorie.

Maybe shoot for a balanced farm of 2 plots each, 8 plots total (or even 4 plots if you think it's better), can provide enough calorie intake for one person.

I feel like for singleplayer 8 plots seems reasonable, but for multiplayer it should probably be easier to feed more people for larger bases.

Cool mod, Now I want to try farming again. If I can survive more then three days that is.

Awesome, great to see this. Would be neat to have non-perishables see a rebalance too.
Arknark 12 Jul, 2021 @ 2:23pm
@SlightlyMadman Awesome. Thank you! Gonna be trying this out for sure as the vegetables are truly horribly unbalanced and I eat a lot of vegetables in this game (and IRL) and a couple heads of broccoli and a couple of carrots will keep me going for a day or so :)
SlightlyMadman  [author] 12 Jul, 2021 @ 1:47pm
Yes, I haven't specifically tested for build 40 (although it should work) but b41 it works for sure.
Arknark 12 Jul, 2021 @ 10:26am
Hey there! Is this compatible with build 41?
