Thanks for this.
漆黑之梦 27 Apr, 2024 @ 7:02pm
Will this cause all ground tiles to become very high? there was a terrain modification mod before that made all types of tiles very high, resulting in a total wealth of up to 60,000 in the new game

[Update Note] I deleted most of my old mods from the workshop, as I don't plan on updating them anymore. There's a link on my profile if you want to take them over. The other mods in the workshop will all be updated to 1.5. Please be patient.

@Lupine hi there! I just made a quick patch for Farmlands and Regrowth so the farmland will work on the new soil types. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2994784323 . Hope you like it!
LupineWitch 4 May, 2023 @ 11:20am
@Lyn the Cookie sorry to bother you, but I am using Regrowth series. I checked Framland files and there are no patches for added types of soil. They all are contained in the Core mod, will you patch them? Thanks in advance also thank u for nice mods, I love the stuff you make :steamhappy:
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 3 Mar, 2023 @ 1:53pm
Weird. I thought its because ReGrowth replaces the base Soil with different versions of Soil (Temperate, Boreal, etc), and I don't remember if I patched them. I think I did, but I'll check it out. No idea how VCE would be incompatible though.
Radical Shadow 3 Mar, 2023 @ 4:49am
I had to get rid of Vanilla Cooking Expanded because of an unrelated error and now it's suddenly working
Radical Shadow 2 Mar, 2023 @ 5:24am
I am, actually. Is there an incompatibility there?
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 2 Mar, 2023 @ 4:24am
Hmmm... Are you using ReGrowth?
Radical Shadow 1 Mar, 2023 @ 12:19pm
I'm trying to place the farmland on soil, but it's not letting me; the game's telling me its terrain affordance is soil only.
I've double checked that I didn't accidentally choose rich or poor farmland (I didn't). Rich farmland works on rich soil and poor farmland works on poor soil. It's just the normal one that I can't place for some reason.
GrenadesAndHamm 27 Feb, 2023 @ 7:19am
Thanks Jyjbil
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 24 Feb, 2023 @ 12:44pm
It shouldn't have any errors, this mod only adds three new floors.
sPoky 24 Feb, 2023 @ 12:04pm
i wonder if this works with Dub's Bad Hygiene and how many errors it would have
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 23 Feb, 2023 @ 7:11am
Updated.
jybil178 28 Oct, 2022 @ 2:20pm
when you go to farmland floors, it should be clickable and show 3 different version
Rich Farmland goes over fertile tiles
Farmland goes over normal tiles
Poor Farmland goes over tiles with mediocre fertility
GrenadesAndHamm 27 Oct, 2022 @ 2:20pm
I'm able to make regular farmland. How do I make the other two? I tried putting farmland over rich soil and it doesn't work. I didn't find any research requirements. Thanks for any help.

I have no attachment to the mod, but I figured letting people know here that there is an updated version would be helpful to some
Jim ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 24 Oct, 2022 @ 12:23pm
loved this mod and would love an update even more!
NoOne_ReaVen 20 Mar, 2022 @ 3:48pm
Okay i dont know if this is a bug of farmland, soil relocation framework or vanilla expanded... I cant select grass floor from VE or Farmland, but Soil from SRF works fine, there is no error in the log that I could make responsible for this... just some duplicate XML ID from other mods that have nothing to do with these three. current load odrder is VE, SRF and then Farmland.
UdderlyEvelyn 5 Dec, 2021 @ 6:41pm
@Partisanship Try Soil Relocation, one of my mods, this *should* be compatible to build on top of my mod or dig with my dig command - let me know if it isn't, though.
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 26 Sep, 2021 @ 2:01pm
Stays forever or until you remove it yourself.
Cruesoe 23 Sep, 2021 @ 2:27pm
Is this a floor that needs rebuild like VFE Farming or does it stay forever?
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 23 Sep, 2021 @ 1:40pm
Removed the VPE requirement. Now you can use it without Vanilla Plants Expanded and not having the red error.
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 5 Sep, 2021 @ 6:08am
Added support for Mossy and Lichen-covered soil.
maddog_3060 26 Aug, 2021 @ 11:25am
Nice compromise between some of the tilled soil mods.
Partisanship 8 Aug, 2021 @ 6:10am
Holy cow. Thank you for making this mod. It's great!
I've been using this in conjunction with Simply Soil as a means to make fertile in-door farms.
It doesn't seem to work at the moment since the layer placed by Simply Soil isn't natural fertile soil. I've just admin changed it to natural fertile soil after. :P
Kindente 28 Jul, 2021 @ 3:22am
Hello and thank you for the mod. As someone who plays mostly on boreal forest I was wondering if it could be possible to add the option to place farmland floor on lichen covered soil too?
Eggnog 25 Jul, 2021 @ 4:34pm
all you need to do to have nice textures is have the texture path be that of the ones in vanilla plants expanded
The Blind One 23 Jul, 2021 @ 6:01am
Why don't you re-use the Plants Expanded Texture? Is it copyrighted?
The Blind One 19 Jul, 2021 @ 9:59pm
I like and use this mod but as you stated yourself, the farmland graphics are kinda meh ...

So I re-tooled and re-used the VPE graphics for this instead and now it's perfect. Thanks
Grimiskitty 19 Jul, 2021 @ 12:20am
Oh yes this this is what I've been looking for! How did I miss this in 1.2??? ty for making this <3
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 18 Jul, 2021 @ 3:48am
Don't worry, you were right. I used natural floors (like actual soil and rich soil) as bases for the farmlands, but turns out they were missing a line of code that makes them removable.

Also ironically I don't like the graphics myself, but it was the best royalty-free farmland textures I could find XD
Oktakon 17 Jul, 2021 @ 8:03pm
thank you @LadyCookie i've been around long enough on the RW workshop to know how annoying it is when you go out of your own way and time... for free.... to create a mod to suit your play style..... publish it...... and then have a 100 nose bleeds tell you how they want it instead, thank you for listening to my request, I just felt it was a technical request more over altering your mod to suit my own needs ... i just really like your mods visual appeal ... the extra buff to gardening is just a bonus. *endorsed*
Makkli 17 Jul, 2021 @ 7:28am
@SucháVoda We are absolutely all entitled to our opinions and to tweak the game as we wish. Your comment about realism really hit me and I would like to offer you this observation as a backyard homesteader. I do not have to retill my working garden after every plant comes up because of the amount of preparation I do the very first time I build the bed. I then use natural methods and crop rotation to let the soil take care of itself after that. I never turn my soil over again. Ever. That's actually bad for it once its been properly set up. My soil is continuously soft and friable and the current plant is always rebuilding and/or profiting from whatever impact the last plant had. I just have to keep sticking the right seeds and plants in the ground. I actually find this mod to be most realistic to my personal experience. YMMV. :)
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 3:54am
Fixed. You can now remove farmlands just like other constructed floors.
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 3:38am
@TheBlindOne This mod just disables the button for soil tilling on VPE. Your already tilled soil will remain even if you load a save, but you won't be able to use the VPE button for soil tilling anymore.

@Oktakon I'm working on a fix right now.
The Blind One 17 Jul, 2021 @ 12:11am
question.

I have the auto till soil patch for vanilla plants expanded, will it still work with this mod installed?
The Blind One 16 Jul, 2021 @ 9:31pm
@Oktakon, I think if you used Vanilla Expanded that the tilled soil returns to normal once a plant has been harvested from it, requiring it to be retilled. So theoretically if you plant something, then harvest it, and not allow it to be retilled, it should turn back to normal.
Oktakon 16 Jul, 2021 @ 6:56pm
I love the artwork... my only issue is i tilled a flower garden bed in the wrong spot by accident, now i want my normal un tilled tile to come back ... how I do that ... i contracted floors over the top then moved my house to find the tilled earth tiles still there not set back to default .... like for plants after harvest is a god send but how do I delete the tilled earth tile?
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 16 Jul, 2021 @ 12:17pm
No worries. I found it annoying having to rebuild the tilled soil over and over again, so I made this. I read somewhere that soil tilling is meant to expose the nutrients under the soil, so this basically gives a +40% fertility bonus to either normal or rich soil.

Though if you think this is too unbalanced, I recommend "[LTO Add-on] Placeable Terrain". It comes with farmland tiles that actually give a bonus (+20% by default) to most terrains you place them. This bonus is configurable in the mod options, and works for most soils except rock and sand.
SucháVoda 16 Jul, 2021 @ 11:14am
Thats unrealistic and REALLY unfair. But good for you. Sorry if this sounds rude, doesn't mean to be.
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 16 Jul, 2021 @ 4:35am
Nope! It stays forever. That's the main reason I made the mod.
SucháVoda 16 Jul, 2021 @ 3:42am
When you harvest the plant, will the tillted soil under it be removed?
Dirty Mike and The Boys 15 Jul, 2021 @ 5:41am
This is amazing, and feels more balanced than some of the other tilled spil mods
tomkpunkt 14 Jul, 2021 @ 2:40am
you should add a dependency to VANILLA PLANTS EXPANDED or make it independent.
Oktakon 13 Jul, 2021 @ 5:47pm
ill give it a go in my 1.3 preview
Yotsuhirasaka 13 Jul, 2021 @ 11:34am
This is actually pretty awesome, I've been using Tilled Soil by Sam_ but this is slightly more balanced and much cooler imo.
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 12 Jul, 2021 @ 12:41pm
@starch Mods can't remove files from other mods. You need to delete them manually.
starch 12 Jul, 2021 @ 12:37pm
oh so it doesnt remove the files for the tilled soil? damn, was looking forward to not having my loading time increased to like 30 minutes by a single folder
Lyn the Cookie  [author] 12 Jul, 2021 @ 4:47am
For real though, this mod is just a patch. It will work for VPE in both 1.2, and when it eventually updates to 1.3
