hehe thanks ^^
Maybe it's better that you get to enjoy its full glory only once you've built it ^^

Gorgeous model. Workshop preview doesn't do it full justice

A really great mod. and for high-rise buildings, there are also buildings of the E-187 series (up to 25 floors), they are completely made of monolith by sliding formwork, following the example of how television towers or factory pipes are built. In particular, the buildings that I modeled (in this way, the 25-storey towers of the E-187 project in Zelenograd were made, and then the panels and other facade elements were hung on top of the monolithic part of the building). Sorry for my English

So much knowledge *.*

So these 2 towers in Dnipropetrovsk are entirely made in poured concrete?
I'd love to see the plans of the other project, if you have them or can easily find them, could you send them to me on discord?

Off the top of my head, the tallest (realised) residential block of fully monolithic construction was two 28-9 storey tower blocks [www.google.com] built in Dnipropetrovsk (at Peremogi embankment, south bank of the river) around the time of the fall of the Soviet Union, at a site intended also for a local community centre complex that was never completed.

While the frame does take most of the vertical loads from the structure, the stability in the horizontal plane is secured by the monolithic core. Considerations for the site's condition may also warrant waiting with assembly to make sure it does not begin to lean (I'm not familiar with the foundation setup here, but it is a former wetland). As an aside, I cannot think of any pre-90's fully monolithic blocks in Moscow, but if you are familiar with OPZHR/North Chertanovo, the original plan for that estate was for an ambitious ensemble of vast in-situ concrete blocks up to 32 storeys tall. Due to cuts to the budget for the development, it was reduced to conventional 24-storey panel blocks adapted from P-3 corner section (P-22/25). Floor plans, models and sketches of the proposed blocks exist, so if you should wish to make those into a reality, perhaps it's worth trying.

I'LL BE DAMNED... Not only I didn't expect a photo to be so easily found on pastvu etc, but also I realize that I actually included the core concrete pouring phase in the building's construction process pretty accurately (although the decision was purely practical... I even wondered if I shouldn't have fully modeled the "middle section"/ elevators well just so that it'd look better during the construction. But at that time I didn't know the core was just this part.

Now I wonder what's the rationale/principle behind this approach. I don't suppose the core plays a role in holding the panels of the apartment sections or something like that?
Or it's just that this section had to be made of a single concrete piece to be poured locally, and that's what distinguishes it from the rest of the construction?

https://pastvu.com/p/156379 Photograph of the in-situ core after it was completed, before assemblage of the rest began (1977). ;3

thanks for all that valuable information Junna ^^
I had "sensed" indeed that this was meant as a "high end" residence, as it seems its apartments (at least the corner ones) are pretty big.
I would have loved to see what the monolithic core looked like, before the adding of the panels.

This particular block is famous for being built as housing for staff at the Izvestia newspaper (built 1977-1981) and thus was relatively prestigious; unified frame was also used for similar 25-storey housing blocks for KGB and security services staff at Leninskiy Prospekt 109 (1976-1979). In the construction of prefabricated frame with monolithic core, the core is usually completed to a considerable height, or full height, before assemblage of the frame begins; the cladding panels and thereafter hinged onto the frame.

During the construction of the I-527A block at Marshal Zhukov Prosp. the core was built to the full 25-storeys (I think in 1973) and left for over a year, to study the impact on the ground settlement of the great weight, before the construction was resumed.

This block is an independent project built on the basis of the Unified Frame (a system for prefabricated frame with panel infill for universal usage, ranging from industrial, commercial to housing), albeit with a monolithic (in-situ poured concrete) core, similar to the I-527A 25-storey point blocks and various others built starting in 1973-4, like the 25-storey block at Setunskiy alley No. 11, built in 1975. The panels used for the exterior cladding, using panels of the building are shared across many independent and serial projects and were produced at the GMPSM factories; these cladding panels were also used on some variants of II-68, as well as the majority of unified frame residential buildings (of which over over 200 were built, usually as vertical enhancement of estates).

I can only start a mod as soon as I finish the previous one :steamhappy:

Maybe this can be a lesson to start on your mods earlier? :D :D

Any time my friend. Always welcomed to see your newest work. :)

Thanks Ooly, loved it ^^

(I rushed to post it last night to make sure you'd consider it for today, as it took me a good while to make ^^ )
