@Wind of Changes: I haven't played in ages so I don't know. Try and check the Options section of Move It or ask on the mod.

Holding Alt down no longer works. How to delete those nodes in 2024?
Avanya  [author] 27 Mar, 2023 @ 10:47am
@Invisible_Sheet: Remember to hold alt down to access nodes inside a building
Invisible_Sheet 26 Mar, 2023 @ 5:47am
Nodes on piers doesnt show up, so I cannot delete them.

@patrickpotsdam: Only the roads used for placement generate ground and these need to be removed like shown in the little tutorial

Unfortunately the piers generate ground under it so it seems impossible to only have piers on water without the ground around it... anyone has an idea to remove the ground under/around the piers?

Too bad they don't actually function as warehouses. I understand the modular nature wouldn't allow that, but I feel we are sacrificing functionality for aesthetics. Perhaps create a set of already assembled variants with a road connection so they can be warehouses?

Thanks, it would be really useful for my tropical map.
Avanya  [author] 12 Feb, 2022 @ 12:41pm
@Butt Mash: I'll check how things are and see if I can find time to do that.
Cloud 12 Feb, 2022 @ 12:37pm
Is it possible you can upload the light roofed assets seperately?
Avanya  [author] 12 Feb, 2022 @ 12:18pm
@Butt Mash: Yes. If you skip the mod or it breaks, the buildings will just only have the dark roof as an option.

Building variations abandoned is this still usable?

Thanks for this content, it's awesome. I'm going to try and create a waterfront scene similar to where I live in Hobart, Tasmania. When first built, the warehouses had a rail line along side them so trains could be directly loaded and unloaded from ships. The warehouses where open to trucks each end. This is what I want to try, just with one rail line https://www.flickr.com/photos/107895189@N03/32686645021/in/photostream/

Oh, and also no danger of flooding ;-)

You don't actually need to flatten the area where you want to put the piers. If you create a small temporary road on the land near the area then you can plop the pier buildings there one by one and move them into place with Move It!. In addition no roads need to be removed afterwards. You can use Move It! to make sure they are all at the same height.
If you're used to Move It! this method is somewhat easier.

@[KZW] Shibikami con un plan: Make sure to hold ALT while trying to select them with Move It. I don't use Touch This myself, so no idea how that works I'm afraid.
Avanya  [author] 20 Jul, 2021 @ 1:00pm
@coolou7: Hmm, yeah it could be a functional warehouse. Though on its own that would make no sense really. I think there are block service warehouses you could use for this too if you'd like. As for function they are offices with Ploppable RICO.
Rufokami [Shibi] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 3:33pm
I tried the guide's suggestion for the roads, and I cant select them.
I tried the touch this tool, it unlocks the roads, but yet I still cant pick them even if I try to choose the same type of road that you used it. I dont know what else to do to delete them!
coolou7 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:16am
@Avanya I wasn't thinking of ships. I was thinking of allowing trucks to come and store or pickup goods. The one with road access, the entrance, could be a small/med/lg warehouse and the modular ones behind it would be for decoration & looks only
Avanya  [author] 15 Jul, 2021 @ 1:26am
@coolou7: Do you mean as a harbor? No, that wouldn't work. Or at least it would look silly as the ships would need to still arrive somewhere. No point in not having the buildings extend from it so the ships actually dock somewhere.
coolou7 14 Jul, 2021 @ 4:16am
Could you make 2 versions of the one plopped at the road? One functional and the other eye candy?
Avanya  [author] 14 Jul, 2021 @ 12:48am
Thanks everyone! Functional ones might come at some point. But they'd be a lot less customizable. Just one size/shape to plop and be done with.

@da_brodiefish: If that doesn't work, Touch This Tool should be able to unlock the roads inside the buildings so you can delete them.
da_brodiefish 13 Jul, 2021 @ 12:38am
These are amazing! but I can't select the hidden roads with move it. It might be because im on mac, I'll try using a usb keyboard for an alt key

Some very nice additions to the workshop just at the time that I've started building my piers
coolou7 12 Jul, 2021 @ 2:12pm
Just in time for a harbor I'm going to build. Would be even better if they were more than eye candy.
kranyarssk14 12 Jul, 2021 @ 10:23am
most excellent.
Blujitsu 12 Jul, 2021 @ 9:06am
This is an ingenious system to build them.

Thank you! ^^

Welcome back to the steam workshop. I've missed your assets. 😁

What a beauty!
