I'm not really updating this mod anymore, so feel free to copy it into your own and make changes if you want.
Anonymous 9 Sep, 2022 @ 1:32am
Mind if i try to balance it and fix up all the descriptions?
Kinasin 9 Jul, 2022 @ 11:06am
so does this work with piercing shot?
casbury2111 4 Jul, 2022 @ 1:55pm
the armor shred on piercing shot + doesn't apply to rapid shot, I accidentally submitted this as a bug report thinking rapid shot was vanilla but I figure the best place to report this bug is the comments here

WILL you be revising this mod soon? Wildermyth just had an update which tweaked Warrior abilities and some mods now prevent warriors from using certain abilities, ie Zealous Leap.
Thank you for your time.

I really like a lot of these abilities and I have been a little bit desperate for some more abilities to add onto the game, however, I keep stumbling over small typos or clumsy word choices in the ability descriptions. I know it sounds a little petty, but it's enough to pull me out of the immersion a little, and does make it seem a little less polished compared to the base game. I reckon this mod could benefit from a decent proof-reader IMO. That's the only thing that's really stopping me from fully embracing this mod - it's otherwise a great mod.
Emperor Zero 6 Mar, 2022 @ 2:28pm
damn i never released those were mod abilities wtf

Hello, armeddreams. I played Thrixl campaign with this mod and I gotta say, thanks to Embolden I just cheesed the entire thing. Each time my warrior killed an enemy, upgraded version of embolden just kept adding extra tempt HP to everyone. My weakest member of the party had like 20-30 HP by the end of each mission.

Hiddenstrike seems to be bugged. It does appear to work as advertised, but characters with the Hiddenstrike ability don't get any swift actions after the first combat round, regardless of whether they're on greyplane or not.

Do these abilities show up starting at certain levels? I have this and the "free reroll" mod, and I can't get any of these abilities to show up no matter how many times I re-roll."
BirdBirdBirdBirdBirdBird 12 Aug, 2021 @ 12:56am
I'm having a bug with the Shadeshot ability: Instead of every other turn, it can be used on every turn, and it can be used an infinite number of times instead of just three.
Gusuras 23 Jul, 2021 @ 6:51am
Finaly some real magic, thx.
Kinesia 22 Jul, 2021 @ 10:47pm
Awesome
armeddreams  [author] 22 Jul, 2021 @ 9:38pm
If you are talking about this mod, I do not plan on adding any more abilities for the time being since I am working on subclasses.

However, I do have quite a few unique defensive abilities in my subclasses mod.
Kinesia 22 Jul, 2021 @ 9:00pm
Actually, a frequent problem I have is survival, especially with low level characters joining and not getting enough small fights to level up before bigger ones.
I'm doing the Thrixl campaign and they seem way harsher than the other races.
You have a few defence abilities but maybe a few others could help? Or a way for each type of character to protect others?
Like hunters could do a "covering fire" version of ambush to guard allies in it.
(Mystics and Warriors have a lot more obvious options to protect, and Gloom is a cool example of the type of thing I want more of!)
Kinesia 22 Jul, 2021 @ 7:30pm
Thank you!
And looking forward so a subclass!
armeddreams  [author] 22 Jul, 2021 @ 12:43pm
As a side note, I am making some very good progress on a subclass mod.
Be on the lookout for that in the next coming days or week or two.
armeddreams  [author] 22 Jul, 2021 @ 12:42pm
I went ahead and added extremely quick descriptions for the abilities.
Kinesia 22 Jul, 2021 @ 6:23am
I'm surprised! I finished 3 campaigns and hadn't seen arches before! ha.
phurgawtin 21 Jul, 2021 @ 8:50pm
Great mod. Definitely a must-have.
That being said, is there anywhere the full list of new abilities is listed?
armeddreams  [author] 21 Jul, 2021 @ 12:14pm
My main intent with blizzard was to cast it and predict where the enemies would go, since blizzard's cast range is quite large. And since it is an AoE ability, I purposely gave it lower accuracy compared to regular abilities. I'll keep your suggestions in mind though.

Arches is a regular base game ability.
Kinesia 21 Jul, 2021 @ 3:58am
I like it, but have some tweak suggestions. (Only a few, maybe more as I get to try more out!)
Blizzard usually does nothing, it's either resisted or things move out of the channel or get killed by something else before it goes off. In line with the basic intent I was thinking that adding a "slow" effect to the channel, so it's hard to move out and if you move in you might get stuck and hit. It doesn't need to be more powerful, just a fix so there aren't so many times where it does nothing!

"Arches" is interesting but feel like it should add something, like that character can now wall with trees or enters greyplane when walking next to that specific tree or something.

Thanks, Smoker! Safe to try to our hearts content, then!
Smoker 17 Jul, 2021 @ 12:26pm
If you uninstall a mod adding new skills the new skills would be lost, but as long as your characters also have other skills to select when recruited it will not matter.
armeddreams  [author] 16 Jul, 2021 @ 4:15am
I believe it would break the legacy character, since ability names are binded to them specifically. I haven't tested but I'm pretty sure they break.
Serj Targarien 16 Jul, 2021 @ 2:13am
Hypothetically, what would happen to legacy characters with the new skills if you uninstall the mod? I usually like trying new mods in most games but for Wildermyth in particular I'm more cautious not to break the legacy system. Thanks for your work in making the mod!
Anelorfin 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:35pm
Alright! im going to try it, thanks for your work.
armeddreams  [author] 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:26pm
Although I say they are modified off pre-existing abilities, they are all still unique enough to be called their own abilities.
armeddreams  [author] 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:24pm
It really depends on how you look at it. For instance, Rousing Strike is modified off a regular strike, but I made it also engage the enemy and give you a bonus damage buff. All the abilities in the mod are unique and don't have the same effects as the normal in game abilities. There is no ability like Berserk, which hurts you and inexchange gives you bonus damage, but that ability was based off Aid, but both are completely different.
Anelorfin 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:15pm
"Most abilities were made by modifying pre-existing abilities or mechanics." So it doesn't really add abilities more than modifies them, right? how many news are?
armeddreams  [author] 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:12pm
Unfortunately, the biggest problem with making a job/class system is the sheer number of abilities I will need to code. But I'll get there hopefully.
Digan 15 Jul, 2021 @ 2:03pm
Ah fckin great :3 looking forward to MORE of Skills Hopefully classes and or races :3 Maybe subclasses? with more levels? so that u can actually get the classes randomly through perks? :O Like there is "Paladin" but its only a skill, imagine if that unlocked a Paladin Subclass for warrior :3 that would be epic :)
armeddreams  [author] 15 Jul, 2021 @ 1:17pm
Haha, yeah. At the current moment I am trying to see if I can mod a class job system.
Digan 15 Jul, 2021 @ 9:58am
Welllllll, finally a mod that adds abilities ! \o/ been waitin for one like that <3 hvnt tried it but im alrdy happy its a thing :3 Now we just need ... New Races and New Classes :D
