They are all so practical and full of character.
Keep it up
Good to see you back at it. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.
dosnt matter which is in however iff that's the case can you script to be off use as a starting DropPod
and the survival kit aswhell
since you also got a surv kit which can make the basic stuff
As far as a 4-way modular setup for both barges and these pods goes, that's something I've had in mind to do as well as a double ended MCF command module. This particular pod is kind of meant as an all-in-one standalone unit, but yeah, I'll probably do a hydrogen refueling pod next. Then maybe an assembler barge. First order of business right now is going back through my EVERYTHING to make adjustments based on changes to some of the scripts I use.
Are you going to revise this for the upcoming heavy industry DLC?
What you could consider adding to this is a variant of the cargo pod but with hydrogen tanks and some H2O2 generators.
Another item worth adding is IMO a connector pod with an internal staircase, a landing pad and four module connection fittings. That way a modular base can sprawl out quicker instead of staying linear. Of course that could also be applied to your spacegoing barges.
A proper industrial drop pod module or even an accomodations block might also be something to consider.
Keep up the good work!
als the antenna is a QoL mod more or less since the huge ass antenna's are fugly for this kinda builds where you whanna look more compact and soon whe get a new dlc which the new maglock plates whil come out and maybe also for largegrid aswhell and iff not the modders know what to do whit that lol
from what i have seen via xocliw is that whe get finnaly the 1x1x1 smallblock merger so that mod aint needed anymore for most ppl and the maglock plates that are 1x1 and those are atleast freebies whit the new DLC
On checking it out - I'm getting 3 hours of battery runtime with every single system running at full power. It's a concession to the size/form factor I had to follow that the renewables are really only good for maintaining standby power. The hydrogens meanwhile are backups with just enough power to run some basic utilities and slowly charge batteries. Is the issue you're running into that at 100% full tilt the thing eats uranium faster than it can refine it?
Also, which medical equipment are you referring to in specific? The survival kit is located on the sameish wall area as the cryo bays (Although I'm not super happy with the exact spot its in). The only other option I could figure out for it is to swap its position with one of the cryo pod / cargo containers (probably the one next to the door). It looks a bit odd, but it works.
1. This is quite creative
2. Medical equipment is somehow scattered thourgh the base, I think a place of improvement could be keep it in the same spot or area
3. Not sure if the energy sources it has are enough for practical reasons in survival
But all in all I love the concept and size of it! keep up with the good work!
