It's not ideal, but one workaround for now may be to use the Electric Braziers (Light & Dark via toggle) mod as there is a dark light version and they both satisfy throne room requirements.
If someone wanted to make a realism mod, adding mineable copper and/or a special plant that can be grown to produce dark flames would be more sensible. I'd think some sort of copper-infused fungus? There are also a handful of wood types irl that can produce a slightly colored flame, but it's a subtle effect.
Gotta say it's pretty sweet to see a more scientific exchange in the steam comments, sweet mod, neat mod author, go figure.
