I'm having problems with this and the E8, when this is installed the E8's are completely silent.
I do not have the 645 Turbo sound set, it is not conflicting with that

That's odd; I can't seem to replicate the issue. Do you mind posting your stdout.txt somewhere? It's located in:
steam/userdata/[yourUserID]/1066780/local/crash_dump, at the bottom of the folder.

There seems to be a conflict between this sound set and the 645 Turbo sound set. When I loaded this sound set and the new EMD E8 mods into an existing save with SD40s and 645 Turbo, the SD40s ran completely silent.

The default GP9 is the only applicable locomotive but I didn't change it because that thing is ugly
