lol this bnagle2
skizzoskillz 5 Mar, 2023 @ 3:52am
Works perfectly
codewitch  [author] 24 Jan, 2023 @ 3:54pm
@bnagle2 - To view "infos" and underground mode, turn on your info views. Strictly speaking you can still place pipes, ferries, buses, metros without actually toggling into the info view, you just might see what you're doing -- which in some cases (public transit, as pictured) can be advantageous.
Mr. Atoni 24 Jan, 2023 @ 11:24am
@bnagle2 No it doesnt. Just turn on whiteness and you can do underground stuff again.
bnagle2 15 Jan, 2023 @ 2:15pm
DO NOT USE!!! WILL BLOCK YOUR UNDERGROUND MODE
codewitch  [author] 3 Jan, 2023 @ 5:28pm
@yuzi - as intended by the original mod.Open the info view mode to view underground, pipes, or tunnels. I have it bound to F1. If you prefer different functionality, use Toggle It! or this mod isn't for you.
@Gwokshing - 打开信息查看模式查看地下、管道或隧道(机器翻译)
StayHungryStayFoolish 3 Jan, 2023 @ 8:57am
If you need the whiteness view for ferries, pipes, tunnels, etc., just click on the main menu button in the top left corner.
yuzi 3 Jan, 2023 @ 6:27am
This will disable your underground view for pipe and tunnel road view! so make note for it. Don't use this mod at this point EVEN THERE ARE NO ERROR MESSAGE!
Gwokshing 29 Dec, 2022 @ 8:33am
当我使用这个模组时,我打开电路或者水路铺设时,不会打开我想要的全局电路图或者水路图,导致我不得不弃用这个模组。
codewitch  [author] 28 Dec, 2022 @ 3:24pm
Unless PDX/CO more completely changes the info views, public transit, or tours, it will likely continue to work unless they add a new one somewhere in the middle rather than just tacking on more and more info views to the bottom.
Swiftshade 28 Dec, 2022 @ 11:59am
This works as of today with FD.
tempest 22 Dec, 2022 @ 10:53pm
is this still working?
StayHungryStayFoolish 30 Nov, 2022 @ 11:19am
To avoid incompatibility message please follow the Road & Vehicles compatible modlist.
Witchberry 30 Nov, 2022 @ 10:42am
My game says that this mod was not made for current game version, can you confirm this?

nice
Scoup 29 Sep, 2022 @ 7:07pm
Thanks for keeping this mod updated!
codewitch  [author] 16 Sep, 2022 @ 12:40pm
@StayHungryStayFoolish - I feel ya, but I also literally just hit compile on someone's pull request. I will, though, try to see if this will be picked up like some of BP's other mods are shall it stop working through some future patch.
StayHungryStayFoolish 16 Sep, 2022 @ 1:58am
@asterisk11231 without these mods... So all CS players using mods should be thankful to you and to all modders.
codewitch  [author] 15 Sep, 2022 @ 5:19pm
@StayHungryStayFoolish - I will note that BP was working on a Harmony update to the original mod last I heard. Given his current absence, I'm not sure if someone will be picking it up, but I'm glad you...have tested that before I did.
StayHungryStayFoolish 15 Sep, 2022 @ 2:45pm

This Toggleable Whiteness mod is fully compatible with Plazas & Promenades DLC.

Please follow the Plazas & Promenades DLC Compatible modlist.
Sota 15 Sep, 2022 @ 7:43am
this bad boy still working post P&P update?
codewitch  [author] 1 Sep, 2022 @ 5:04pm
@BkoxaL You have to be on the electricity tool and water pipe tool, respectively, when having the Info View Open.
codewitch  [author] 25 Jul, 2022 @ 2:02am
@Pnevma - what I mean is, there is an option for "Automatic Info Views" as a toggle setting you can use. I once had it as like...option G, disabling hotkeys for a situation I needed the info view enabled, but of a different type than the tool I was using. Anyway, this does still provide an automatic functionality based off of whether or not the info bar is displayed.
Neverminder 20 Jul, 2022 @ 8:38pm
it definitely works, i tried both together, yes they do accomplish similar but this makes it mostly automatic and easygoing. its fabulous, its a small change, and very efficient
codewitch  [author] 20 Jul, 2022 @ 6:25pm
Toggle It! *Should* work with Tours, if not, I would contact the author @Klyte45.
Neverminder 14 Jul, 2022 @ 12:06am
this should be a feature just rolled into "toggle it" eventually, i hope it works cause i hate the whiteness so much
codewitch  [author] 15 Jun, 2022 @ 8:20pm
If you are in another tool, but you activate the info view for (example), resources, it will flash briefly and revert to the other tool. Because of "Automatic Info Views", this mod (Toggleable Whiteness) only works for the tool you are currently in when you have the info panel enabled, switching to the appropriate view. For example, I can't see Education - Elementary while placing a high school. To change this you need to disable that in, for example, Toggle It!
Oldhip 15 Jun, 2022 @ 4:57pm
shame but this as stated below is a flash only
Reaper 26 May, 2022 @ 7:08pm
I'm having the same issue as buda is - I can't get this one to work either. Everytime I click the "resources" view, it flashes briefly and then turns everything white for some reason. I need to turn the whiteness off as another mod is clearly preventing me from seeing my resources.
StayHungryStayFoolish 26 May, 2022 @ 5:04am
@buda atum historically, the old mods were not even presented in the Options menu, just in the Content Manager. It hope it should work for you.
buda atum 26 May, 2022 @ 3:45am
Can't figure why I can get this to show up in Content Manager
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2812858794

but not in Options nor is it usable in game.

I need this with Toggleit I've found, as using one just cripples me somehow, like seeing StayHungryStayFoolish's "nice layout of traffic lines".
codewitch  [author] 17 May, 2022 @ 10:14am
@StayHungryStayFoolish - Yes, as I implied, the combination can be quiet powerful to engage one set of Info Views with a different tool all the while not having the white outliner (except if you need to see underground)
codewitch  [author] 17 May, 2022 @ 10:12am
@StayHungryStayFoolish - indeed, I have swapped Toggle It! to include a different set of toggles, I think I use A-G.
StayHungryStayFoolish 15 May, 2022 @ 5:05am
@asterisk11231 Finally!!! I have switched off the default letter "A" in Toggle it! and Toggleable Whiteness - Fixed Tours and I got this nice layout of traffic lines.
codewitch  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 7:31pm
You can use in combination, but I don't recommend turning on Toggle It!'s "automatic info views" feature and this mod unless you want to get real, really fine with your control scheme that way... it was too complicated for me personally. There IS a combination that works that can be useful for some special situations, but I use Toggle It! for the other Toggles.
StayHungryStayFoolish 12 May, 2022 @ 12:32pm
I started to test this mod, again (understanding its goal), which is different, than Toggle it!
codewitch  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 8:08am
There are very few exceptions (e.g., loading time fix for ploppable asphalt)
codewitch  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 8:07am
@Erke - huh?? That's how the mod works. You have either underground mode selected via your current tool being -9m or more, say in Fine Road Tool 2, or you have toggle info views enabled (I bind to F1). If you want different functionality I suggest you use Toggle It, or a combination of both to get finer tweaks.

There are no options for the mod. I believe it is just there to confirm it's loaded. I wouldn't know.

Only subscribe to one. Disabled = a lie, ignore it. With the exception of the ones included in the base game as a reference, disabled = enabled. Unsubscribing or "excluding" using LOM is the only way to turn off a mod, subscribing and enabling is generally to turn it on. Don't trust *just* disabling, especially as these too will probably give you a duplicate assembly.
Erke 6 May, 2022 @ 9:41am
This version is not working for me, I have to manually open the overlays everytime I need to lay water pipes etc... I also believe the mod options tab is broken as well, displaying placeholder words.

I know it is said to be either using this or BP's version but could it be that we have to have the original mod downloaded but disabled, so this one uses some referenced files etc?
codewitch  [author] 12 Apr, 2022 @ 3:59pm
@TestDriver he fixed it locally but was updating it to work with Harmony 2, which this mod does not do. I have not heard from BP since.
TestDriver 4 Apr, 2022 @ 10:08am
Yeah, finally this old man can get his tour buses on the way. Thanks a million cimoleons or whatever that stuff is called you pay with at the cimhoehouse.
darynman 4 Apr, 2022 @ 5:00am
Thanks asterisk!
SilentResident 4 Apr, 2022 @ 4:51am
Thank you for your clarifications on which one to use, and we really appreciate your hard work at fixing and providing us a temporary version of the mod because we love it and we wouldnt want to miss it in the time being! :oheart:
codewitch  [author] 4 Apr, 2022 @ 3:02am
@SilentResident @darynman - it is a "temporary" unofficial fix and either this mod OR the original one should be used; BloodyPenguin has updated it but hasn't pushed it to the workshop (updating to use the latest Harmony, haven't heard since).
SilentResident 2 Apr, 2022 @ 3:34pm
I have the same question, been trying to figure out but it is abit unclear if this mod is standalone or needs to be used alongside the original one.
darynman 2 Apr, 2022 @ 9:14am
Maybe a dumb question but I don't think it's really clear: does this mod work on its own and the original must be disabled or does it work along with the original as a fix?
TestDriver 2 Mar, 2022 @ 12:47pm
Yay! No more lost tour paths.
Sp3ctre18 18 Feb, 2022 @ 10:04am
o hai o/

So now I know why I had invisible tours even on *cough* my "vanilla" city.

Finally subbing now. :)
