Thanks guys!
Windows XP  [author] 21 May, 2024 @ 11:38am
Thanks, when I have the time I'll add redirection links to the 1.5 project. Maintaining this mod ended up being more of a pain than I was prepared to deal with.
general tsingtao 17 Apr, 2024 @ 10:46pm
This looks abandoned, so I bugfixed and patched this for 1.5 myself https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3225521979

1.5 update?
Leoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 16 Apr, 2024 @ 7:00pm
Correction, it not only hides the pollution slider, but sets its value to 0 when generating the world. So it works, but you'll have a pollution-less world.
Leoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 16 Apr, 2024 @ 6:58pm
Seems to compile and load up okay on 1.5, but it does hide the pollution slider if you have the Anomaly DLC

1.5?
Lucc 12 Apr, 2024 @ 9:38am

Salfordshire 12 Apr, 2024 @ 8:27am

Street Captain 12 Apr, 2024 @ 2:39am
Not working on 1.5
pikakirby11 23 Mar, 2024 @ 7:39pm
@TheBronzeWarrior 1.4 yeah but if you mean 1.5 I'm not sure
TheBronzeWarrior 23 Mar, 2024 @ 7:28pm
does this work with 1.4
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 15 Mar, 2024 @ 8:20am
Follow-up: I'm trying to recreate a map I've previously played with, so knowing which parameters affect the actual map generation would be very helpful
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 15 Mar, 2024 @ 8:15am
Hello, is there any way to see full world settings? In the planet view, this is what I get: https://files.catbox.moe/49cft1.png
pikakirby11 3 Mar, 2024 @ 1:02pm
@Ixcatl maybe regrowth world generation for customizing how the planet is generated. Also regrowth core makes it so factions spawn more realistically however with the stuff added by core I prefer to use that alongside realistic planets so it's not much of a replacement. I'm pretty sure there are also some other forks realistic planet but I can't say if they would be any better.
Ixcatl 3 Mar, 2024 @ 12:47pm
has anyone found a good alternative to this?? its going to fucking SUCK culling this from my modlist
Samuel_Bucher 28 Feb, 2024 @ 1:19pm
Same here, dylan. Literally unplayable, unironically.
emma 21 Feb, 2024 @ 2:18pm
Sea Level slider is broken. if i try to change it at all then it only goes to the extremes
pikakirby11 18 Feb, 2024 @ 1:25pm
I'm not sure if it's your mod or my little planet but the slider for the ocean is bugged. it only lets me select far left or right for the slider and what they're supposed to do is reversed.
Eli-Te 26 Jan, 2024 @ 4:34pm
doesn't even let me activate the mod, just pops up with an error when i restart
Oracle 16 Jan, 2024 @ 9:29pm
This mod has caused crush while I tried to generate new map, and seems conflict with other landscapes mods like RG as well as several faction expand mods: new factions can't generate when I add faction expand mods. I have subscribed SOS2.
JaWweck 8 Dec, 2023 @ 5:54pm
unrelated, eternal load issue fixed itself but Sea Level is broken
JaWweck 8 Dec, 2023 @ 5:24pm
got that bug too, also can't create any planets rn still trying to figure out if it's the mod after trying to adjust sea level or something else
Kyzer 24 Nov, 2023 @ 9:16pm
"Sea Level" is completely busted and either maxes out or minimum. Can't fine-tune.
Orravan 13 Nov, 2023 @ 10:41am
@Superhumanon
Realistic Planets shouldn't be messing with this.
Are you using Faction Control, by any chance? If you do, there's a menu with sliders on the world generation screen to customize those parameters.
ArticBlazer 14 Oct, 2023 @ 11:40am
is it normal for every type of faction to be huddled with each other
nikita150u 9 Oct, 2023 @ 10:30am
So it's confirmed. This mod is incompatible with SOS2
Viruana 24 Sep, 2023 @ 12:13pm
Nothing happens when I click Generate.
Miso 9 Sep, 2023 @ 11:56am
Also this mod adds all possible factions by default. Could not it add just these which adds vanilla?
Miso 9 Sep, 2023 @ 11:42am
List of factions on the "Create world" window can expand so much that the "Add..." button can overlap with "Generate" and "Random planet" buttons (seems I cannot send screenshot here). This will happen when you use mods which add new factions like for example VFE - Classical.
Lulu 31 Aug, 2023 @ 11:18pm
Maybe I'm missing something, but I've noticed that adjusting the sliders give pretty lulzy results. 'Earthlike' should be giving map gens with around 70% water coverage and some continents.Instead, I seem to get waterworld
//SlipperyPete:. 17 Aug, 2023 @ 10:55am
Anyone else run into an issue where they cannot select many of the starting tiles on the world map when starting a new game? Trying to narrow down which of my hundreds of mods is broken or conflicting.
Lulu 9 Aug, 2023 @ 7:26am
The issue with the sea level slider may be due to the values.
Rimworld's newer sliders probably only support values going from low to high, not high to low; so it gets confused when the left 'lowest value' is higher than the right's 'highest value'.
Using 'better sliders' per ThatCoolSneks' recomendation; the left side seems to be 6 and the right side value seems to be 0...
Seemingly to support this, if you try to drag the slider to the left and PAST, it will snap to the right, perhaps it interprets it as you hit zero (which for Realistic Planet's sea level slider, is actually the max, right most value.
ThatCoolSnek 7 Aug, 2023 @ 2:03am
use better sliders as a fix for the sea level always dropping
Freeasabird🕊 6 Aug, 2023 @ 11:08am
So when i'm setting up my world all the sliders do as they''re supposed to 'sept the Sea level slider. I try to do anything with that slider and it just drops to zero, far left. And i can't do anything with it, move it anywhere. i have to to use a preset world type to with water and just not touch it and my planet will have water.
Lovecraft 6 Aug, 2023 @ 4:53am
Incompatible with the Regrowth: expanded world generation mod. I reported this to mile. Sea level slider would not work properly. Honestly this mod should just be merged with that one, it would be amazing to have a single world gen mod that allows for full planet customization
Itchy Crusader 5 Aug, 2023 @ 2:02pm
Same
AcetheSuperVillain 29 Jul, 2023 @ 2:45pm
when I touch the Sea Level slider, it always jumps to the minimum value
PhaenBirbo 27 Jul, 2023 @ 12:50am
So I noticed with using this mod and SOS2 atm it causes a lot of quests to break and not generate properly for me. I do have a giant modlist, however the issue still persisted even if I loaded this mod before SOS2 and was only resolved by disabling either mod, so a bit of a warning when trying to use SOS2 with this mod.
Ms Mommy Memer 19 Jun, 2023 @ 6:49pm
SaveOurShip2 quick fix is to load it in after world gen
Benjamin the Rogue 9 Jun, 2023 @ 10:36pm
Can confirm the problems the others are having.
Aokuq're Klanuhpo 5 Jun, 2023 @ 4:51pm
Same issue as Raskallia, The Flying Potato, Jarrah, and Zenith.

Yes, a workaround is using the preset planets, but none of them have an option between Earthlike levels of water and ocean planet levels of water, and, much like Raskallia, I prefer playing with planets that have a lot of large islands but are primarily water.
FURILKA 26 May, 2023 @ 5:30am
how can i run this mod with SaveOurShip2? I tried load it before SaveOurShip2, I tried load it after, it doesn't matter. There is a mod conflict in any case, i cant create new world: the "generate" button does not work + lot of errors in console on starup
Apsala 5 May, 2023 @ 7:09am
Hi! I noticed the added biomes don't integrate the new pollution mechanism introduced with biotech, as such the polluted varient of these biomes don't have any vegetation nor wildlife.
affairs most succubussian 29 Apr, 2023 @ 4:47pm
It's a serious pity, because I very, very much enjoy worlds shaped precisely like shattered isles — smaller, tighter lands segregated by vast spaces of water, densely overpopulated with rivalling factions, desperately contesting one another for what little precious land remains.

You have to step on someone else's territory to make it through this grim world.

And it's hard to find that exact shape with the default Earthlike/Jungle Planet presets, the maximum sea level attainable through your method.. ;<
The Flying Potato 27 Apr, 2023 @ 10:51am
Same here. Workaround is use pre-created worlds and then don't touch the sea level
affairs most succubussian 24 Apr, 2023 @ 7:42am
Same issues as with @zenith and @Jarrah.
HAZRAD 19 Apr, 2023 @ 12:48pm
Thank you for this, great job!
