tbh i think its hella funny seeing a guinea pig save my pawns just how Randy would have it
could you maybe make a selectable option to enable the bug for people who want this immersion breaking bug

This mod also makes penned animals ignore the barriers and they start wandering all over.

This mod makes tiny animals that normally could not have the ability to "haul items" and "Rescue" because they are too small to carry anything and gives them all those trainable abilities. Can you fix that. It breaks immersion and goes against reality.

This is the only mod I can see that allows you to train more animal types. You ever gonna fix those issues you mentioned?

honestly one of my fav mods i tame a load of rats then train them to haul and attack and they bread fast

i hope the bugs get fixed for 1.5 as i really enjoy using this mod and can't play without it lol

So, long story short, SCPs are not technically considered animals by the game because they have their own Thing Def that overrides the patches to animals in the master Animals Thing Def. You may ignore my past report as you wish, but I still recommend you look into other instances of users being unable to train their animals.

@PunkyRoo I attempted to tame a Dragon Snail (SCP-111, from Secure Contain Rimworld) and it had Intermediate Trainability and needed a pen. That, plus a few other comments from other users, might just warrant a re-examination of the mod patching code.

Seems to not work with a few animals. Namely i added some of the vanilla expanded animal mods, got some Megatardi, and its trying to use the pen system for them

Maybe it is possible to add one Option to make that Animals don't forget the Stuff they already learned? With 8000 Chicken my People can't train them again and angain xD

Is it possible to make this configurable so that we can choose which animals are and aren't trainable? Only, this seems to remove the ability to be penned from all animals as well and I'd prefer for some animals to stay penned.

This has a conflict with some other mod and makes the pen markers to not have any animals in the animals tab. It does not show errors.

Ty mod is great does it work with multiplayer? It seems to help my performance a bit with large amounts of animals too since the animals are zoned to specific areas ty for this great mod! Oh and nuzzle would be a great add

I would like an option to make any animal a pet (i.e. can nuzzle) so I can have pets like turtles and goats that aren't considering nuzzlers in vanilla. ^^ Thanks for this mod!

@Victor @Kestrel It seems to be that I need to update the mod to account for animals that are added from other mods (if those animals exist outside the typical "type" hierarchy of the base game). I'll look into these issues and make adjustments and updates as needed.

I believe there's a conflict with Vanilla Psycasts Expanded rock and steel constructs, they are not supposed to be trained.

Got some tamable megascarab from an ancient complex but their trainability is still only intermediate :( not sure why since the in-game info page does categorize them as animals.

Does anyone have an issue with animals losing their bonds with their master? My colonists keep forming bonds and then they vanish, not sure what is going on here.

So question. Do cows and animals alike still stay in the pens? I guess I have noticed that but totally forgot about this mod lol. Still will keep it, just has me thinking of that question just now.

@Kojso It's intentional... Because if an animal needs to be penned in fences then full trainability is pointless. What's the point of an animal that can haul, if it needs to be contained all the time. Ya know? :)

@garfu because that was breaking trainability for some other animals. it seems the games treats different animal tags differently... which is odd. i will need to do more research...

I uncommented the 1.3/patch add>race>trainability that you had commented for some reason. Everything is working again.

Whatever you just changed broke trainability for Alpacas (and likely other animals) for me. Up until this patch my alpacas were advanced and trained, now they are none, and untrained.

@Dance With Rainbows I just pushed an update that resolves the Hares, chickens, Ducks, Turkeys, Foxes... though the BoomRats still elude me.... back into the code!

@Dances With Rainbows Thanks for the heads up on the smaller creatures. Clearly the game has some code related to these animals that I am not addressing with my mod. I will look into it. Because my goal with this mod is to TRULY MAKE ALL ANIMALS TRAINABLE!! :D

@PunkyRoo Thank you, I had to switch to Big Picture Mode and download manually from there, it fixed the lynx... though there are a few animals i currently have that are still not trainable or fully trainable. Turkeys don't seem to be trainable and other small creatures like Boomrats, Hares, Chickens, Ducks and Foxes don't seem to be fully trainable.... which i can live with :P though i expected them all to be fully unlocked. Who knows I may have a conflicting mod... Thanks for the bug fix though, appreciate it.

@Dances With Rainbows I just uploaded a bug fix and tested Lynx and they are trainable for me. So maybe this bug was breaking them as well? Either way, make sure the mod updates on your end and try again...

I started a new save like a week ago and not all animals are trainable, including Lynx.

@NRFBToyStore In some update they removed fox's ability to haul. I would make a mod that changes that back and change some others, or make a menu that let people customize themselves. But I don't know how to program or what program to use. If I did know, I would be basically making this mod with a "select trainability" menu slapped on.
