I tried this mod and the idea is great but I accidentally got a few little puffs of chlorine in my base and it causes constant spamming of chemical burn messages as it floats around. Kind of hard to isolate just a couple of spots of chlorine floating around to try and eliminate and even though I lowered the damage to 1 it still is a real nuisance as it repeatedly causes damage. I wish it only took affect with larger amounts or maybe a timed exposure so a small puff passing by won't trigger the message and the burn damage. Going to have to remove the mod unfortunately.

is there a way to change it so that there needs to be more of the hazardous substance to damage the dupes? i don't want a tiny bubble of clorine to spam me with alerts

can you make it configurable that 1 mg of chlorine won't damage dupes for 20 hp. otherwise it really changed the gameplay, doctor and atmos suits become an essential.

I love this mod but it makes it impossible to work with the hand sanitizer station. Anyway this can be fixed?

From my limited testing so far, this mod still seems to work as intended.

I would like to ask you if its okay if I use some of the chemical burn concept for my new elements in the incoming Chemical Processing update? It will have three very corrosive chemicals, Sulfuric Acid liquid, Sulfuric Acid gas and Nitric Acid liquid.

Thanks this is fun! Very glad there is the ability to lower damage because my first run with this, one speck of chlorine is stomping my base, had to quit. Gonna lower damage and try again!

indeed. some higher thresholds fro things. perhaps you can expand the mod to allow the "safer" gasses (i.e non radioactive) to be negated by the gas masks (not breathing it in)? or perhaps increasing the chlorine mass to something a bit more manageable? or maybe making it so dups have to spend a little while in the gasses (delayed effect)

Can you add a longer delay for the burn's activation? Dupes taking damage by merely running through 1 tile of gas is a bit annoying.

Crash on start:
UnityException: GetName is not allowed to be called from a MonoBehaviour constructor (or instance field initializer), call it in Awake or Start instead. Called from MonoBehaviour 'ChemicalBurnMonitor' on game object 'Frankie'.

Jorelow if you are carrying on with this mod, this idea might interest you:

since sour gas contains Hydrogen Sulphide and it can make a person pass out without knowning of the dangers, i wonder if its possible to make a dupes oxygen levels Drop faster. OR make them fall asleep on prolonged exposure?

Should oxygen masks reduce the damage? I think half damage would be approapirate, cause your still getting skin and eye contact and the burns from that, but your not getting inhelation

you dont have to if you dont want to but with the damage numbers being what they are i probably wouldnt use this mod without it, I really like the idea but I dont want them being killed in 10sec for chlorine

@crbd115 The damage is per sec, you can lose your duplicant easy, i didn't modified the original values, i added nuclear waste and i put on 20
