I heard that the xorts have been fixed any plans to update this with the xorts (and the unused Nihilanth lines)

well, i hope that one day somebody makes the same addon as this, but compatible with the Nihilanth voice lines, because since there's BMS Classic for the Earth chapters only, xen needs some love

Yes, I tested it and the added Nihilanth lines mod is not compatible with this since it also modifies the elevator ascension map.

is there a way to stop the crashes? this mod makes this part of the level way better, but also completely unplayable

For me there's still a chance that it will start crashing, but clearing all ".cache" files from the game's folder helped somehow. No idea how can it be related.

How much health does this Gargantua and normal Gargantua have? Could I change Gargantua's health by commands?

Now that Xen Vorts are presumably fixed. Interloper needs a fanmade overhaul.
Such as replacing one of the Controller battles in bm_c4a3c2 with a single Garg with no Vorts. So that it isn't a boring slog.

I just tested it again, this time no crashes occured. I'm not sure then. The crashes might not be related to the xorts at all. For now, I believe this mod is fine as is. You've done great, and thanks for creating this us. :)

@MiracleSpectrum So crashes do occur? Because i played this part for many times and i got no crashes with the xort models. Maybe ill change them back to their earth variants

I absolutely love this mod and how it influences the elevator asension. It actually feels like they are taking Gordon seriously as a threat now, by having everyone get involved in trying to stop him. Having to kill a gargantuan in order to rise progress is a pretty epic send off before nihilanth.

That being said, there are a number of crashes that happen, oddly they seem to occur the most right as I destroy a crystal. I don't know how or if that's related to the xort models. But maybe it helps you think where to look?

Anyway, this mod actually improves the level in my opinion. It's at about the right difficulty I'd expect for something before the final battle of the game.

@Anticitizen 1 Go ahead man, but try testing it some more, i brought back the xen variant vortigaunts ever since the free edict fix but im not completely certain if they would still cause random crashes

@Valvatorez That i believe so, thats why we dont get crashes if we killed all the controllers quickly. The same goes for the conveyor belt part

So NPC_XORT is the reason we get a no free edicts crash in Intersnoozer. A workshop patch would take up several gigs, ack

may be it is better to replace Gargantua to the place after this lifting in the factory - near the small healing lake around crystal with universe model of Xen...

@mmuccioli hmm. i dunno, overall i dont have any issues with gonarch's lair, i love that chapter. Gonarch's lair is my favorite Xen chapter in Black Mesa (no boring segments), so i just want to leave that chapter untouched. Although i did add vortigaunts in the first and last parts of the chapter xen but i haven't released it yet
