I found the solution to not being able to refuel with logs - the patch has been disabled in the base mod but you can reenable it yourself (it was probably causing performance issues). Just go to the mod folder, then 1.3/Patches/UniFuel.xml and then replace the '.' in front of [.="WoodLog"] with text(). Incidentally this was in the non-forked version too which seems to indicate it wasn't really looked at ;)

your xpath should read
<xpath>Defs/ThingDef/comps/li[@Class="CompProperties_Refuelable" and fuelFilter/thingDefs/li[text()="WoodLog"]]/fuelFilter/thingDefs/li[text()="WoodLog"]</xpath>

just tested and it works

There are mods that let you configure what can be burned as fuel, I would recommend finding and using one of those mods

Any way to make this work with wood powered generators? I keep being told I can't use regular wood logs, also using alpha biomes so don't have access to any other trees to chop down atm

Floors don't seem to work with different wood types, there's only one type of wooden floor. Any idea for a fix?

For those using medieval playthroughs etc - you need steel for the workbench, unless I missed something.
It would be great to be able to disable the sound - a neolithic/medieval electric saw is a little unusual. I am trying to imagine that it is thanks to a thousand trained mice on little wheels. Perhaps that is a better fate?

Love this mod, but if I try to use it with LWM's Fuel Filter and the Gulden Biome Mod I don't get any wood I can use as fuel. Remove this mod from the pack and the Gulden trees drop generic 'wood' that works. Anyone know how the XML recipe can be tweaked to fix this?

@Mitokandria I'm getting the same error but when I go and look at Manifest.xml the cited error doesn't exist. The place it says, 'Line 15, position 76', doesn't even exist. Maybe we could raise an issue on Github?

I'm getting an error. Looks like it's thinking there is a typo in manifest.xml when I open the Mods list from the main menu. Not exactly game breaking, but thought I'd mention it.

If there's any way you could add standard "wood logs" to other fuel lists, that would be awesome, because otherwise, this mod sort of breaks the game for people doing cave/icesheet maps, using non-standard sources of wood (like Knot Root mod, or vanilla's wood-based mushrooms)

update: okay, so coal is actually still usable in cooking workbench, but not in the fueled smelter (which I think is actually added from another mod)

alas normal wood logs are missing from both

wood logs don't seem usable in wood burning objects, also it seems to disable coal from being used also. I even downloaded LWM's Fuel Filter, and it seems as though the only items that are going to work are things like "oak logs, pine logs, cocoatree logs" ect but the standard wood log, and coal are not available once this mod is installed.

I don't think Mercenary is working on this really, He doesn't seem to be responding to any of the messages on here so chances are this mod is dead in the water.

Yea Dryads dropping planks is not good thing. Also woodworking table too loud and sounds like electric table even though it only has manual saw and require no power.

Any chance that you would be willing to look into or make a patch to LadyCookie's Aesthetic Materials mod. She has a bunch of wood types similar/the same as this mod but they don't count as the same thing which means that making regular wood, and mixed wood is impossible if both are together. She has rock types as well as the wood thus why I don't just pick one or the other, but I like the extra woodworking/lumber aspect of this mod. Let me know if you have questions, thanks for picking up the mantle this mod is amazing.

The patches for ReGrowth need updating as the mod names have all changed. Additionally, the defNames for the trees added by Cold Bog Expansion have changed as well, dropping the "E" from "RG-CBE"

You don't need the woodworking bench. MIxed lumber can be made at a craft spot.

Thx for the fork! If you're using Adventurer's version, the ReGrowth series should be compatible, shouldn't it? It was a hassle back in 1.2 because Helixien changed the names every week...

It's all good, I'll just continue using the patch mod. Was just wondering since forks tend to be the time that a lot of sub-mods tend to get merged.

I don't believe it does, but i'd have to test. if there were trees added, they default to the generic log that you can't really use for anything as its mostly for debug and identifying unpatched trees.

I'll look at adding integration in the near future, as I'm currently busy developing my own mods: Styles Plus and Memes Plus.
