Your suspicion is correct; there is an issue with the aiming point due to the length of the Long Bertha's barrel. This is because the GimbalAimer does not account for the offset between the gimbal point and the _bulletSpawn position.

Additionally, there's simply a difference in accuracy. The vanilla Big Bertha actually fires very accurately, but the Long Bertha is somewhat inferior in this regard. This is partly to compensate for the offset in the aiming point.

I was messing around with a long-range radar (triples the lock on range of your tech), and found something interesting.

Over longer ranges, the long bertha seems to have a slightly higher arch (meaning shells drop sooner), and are far more inaccurate than their vanilla big bertha sisters. I can't tell if this is a local bug due to mod conflicts or something else, but it's mildly inconvenient when the long bertha ends up missing the 15 block tech, whilst the big bertha nails a cab (with no other blocks, making it no bigger than 1-2 1x1x1 blocks) in the face.

idk, might just be a problem specific to me, or maybe the accuracy is thrown off over longer ranges. Long Bertha still hits much harder than Big Bertha, though, so it's perfect for tank destroyers against big techs.

That's a shame. I thought it would actually upgrade the SCUs... Maybe a separate module to give them some percentage boosts? Or flat values so that it scales less with big SCUs and more with smaller ones, encouraging the use of things like mobile SCUs more? Idk... Thanks for clearing it up either way.

This is a bug that has been around for a long time, occurring when trying to pick up a huge MOD block with SCU.
To address this issue, I created the Event Horizon Extender. (this is the first mod block I ever created.)
Technically, this block uses BuffBlock to increase ModuleHeart.m_EventHorizonRadius by 5 and ModuleHeart.m_StartShrinkingRadius by 30.
m_EventHorizonRadius is a parameter that determines the range for storing blocks in the inventory, while m_StartShrinkingRadius is the distance at which blocks picked up by SCU start to shrink as they get closer to the center.
This effect does not stack, so attaching multiple Event Horizon Extenders will not change it.
This allows huge blocks to be picked up by SCU without getting stuck. So, this block serves as a solution to the bug, and if you're not experiencing such issues, you don't need to use this block.

How exactly does the Event Horizon Extender module work? It says it makes SCUs "a little bit better". Better how? I don't see it extending the range, or the pickup speed, or the pickup amount. Does it stack? There's tons of questions left in the dark, here.

Ambriel works, but the energy consumption when firing has been lost.

Thanks to the MOD community I was able to repair the bubble indicator of the invisible shield and the EULE shield.

Hawkeye Energized Plating has undergone several remodels, so the unofficial version may feature an outdated model. Currently, it projects a shield with dimensions of 8x4

Hi, i am trying to mod a Fabrictor that only constructs compressed blocks as the auto mode is buggy when leaving the area. I am wondering how to copy the Fabricator as is ( that is what i wanted to start with ) is there any information on how to copy existing blocks? I am new to TerraTech modding any help would be appreciated.

It's a known bug, all blocks should be available in mp (although I haven't tested it in mp), but for some reason the problem can occur where the block can't spawn in mp. community patch may fix the problem.

Hey thanks for the help i get an error message now. its bc of Random Additions it failed to fetch due to parental controls or security program im not sure what causes this but i think its bc the firewall or some kind of antivirus software

Passive drain is 0.001/sec, active is 0.3/dmg, and it also causes intercepted projectiles to disappear without exploding.
For reference, GSO's passive drain is 2.5/sec, and active is 0.75/dmg.
