did the camera view ever get fixed for manual aiming? seen a comment on a previous version that said was a keen update that broke things and how to fix it.. not sure if that still applies or not since it was a couple years old on the comment.

Yeah I came to complain about the same bug.

Many weapons are straight up blocked by the model in manual control mode. The camera is in a very bad spot. Yeah okay sure you can just use AI targeting for most applications. But there are times where I don't want to.

Okay, so i tested it myself in creative world.
large and small fixed heavy laser - 5km
large fixed light laser - 3km
small fixed light laser - 1.5km
light laser turret - 2km
heavy laser turret - 3km
Sadly 1-barrel and 3-barrel versions of the turrets are impossible to aim by yourself because whole middle of the screen is covered by the inside view of the barrel.

What are the ranges of those weapons? I tried searching in mod files but i only found AI targeting range for the turrets and nothing regarding actual max effective range.

All the turrets work or me.
The lack of sound produced when firing is a little... odd though. IRL lasers are indeed quiet, but they do produce a hum from inductor coils and I think that would be a nice addition to these turrets, considering how extremely powerful they are.

Most of the time, its probably an issue with base games turret AI, but it does not always seem to work and will not lock on to targets even when in range with no obstacles blocking its line of sight.
For another thing, if its not a dual cannon, going into manual control of a turret, the single cannon seems to cover the camera that is used for manual aiming. The same thing goes for the triple cannon sets. Double cannons work fine and are not covered up at all.

Not sure if its intended but when you control the turrets the barrel is in your face on a few I tested. Unless they aren't supposed to be manually controlled.

Edit: I believe you can see the ammo each turret generates in it's inventory, as well as when it drops after the turret is destroyed/ground down. The "Build Info" mod also displays some helpful info when directly controlling a turret.

All the laser weapons in this mod generate their own ammo, which is done via a mod script. I haven't played w/ the WC version of this mod, but the turrets draw from grid power as they are fired.

I'm using Weapon Core 2.4 and nothing is shooting. This use to work last year, just fire up the exact same game and it's broken.

Not sure if this mod is still being maintained or not, but as of 12/15/2023, attempting to load this mod on a server will cause the server to crash on startup.

the manual aim camera is still set inside the texture of the weapon itself. this makes manual aiming nearly impossible

small cemisphere turret is not working, can't find a target, and when trying to control it - view is obstructed with texture. fix pls

Thanks for keeping this alive, but these are now insanely overpowered weapons.

4000 dps for ~4MW of power on a small grid light laser? For instant hit, those are crazy numbers. Other weapons do much less damage and demand less power. Stock weapons that cost ammo and have to be aimed do 1/20th to 1/10th the damage (per second) and have power requirements up to 15x more (railgun).

I'd suggest comparing to other weaponcore mods - this is too powerful to use alongside other weapons mods.

jest to let everyone know that my pc crashed yesterday and i had to reinstall windows again the file to this mod was lost but i will do my best to fix this. the mod and the file again jest give me some time. i have the old file to this mod but i will see if it update to this mod if not i will put a link in there to the new one jest give me some time

Does the AI not target the closest weapons? I have had several encounters where the weapons have not been targeting a Gatling turret that is facing me and firing and looks like it is just hitting armor blocks. I have the target offence drop down set and not the on off option. I'm playing with assertive and trying to collect their special engines .
