[FSF] No Empire Trading Permit
30 Comments
tsboyorz 5 May @ 8:52pm

专注于殖民地建设而非派系声望 grind(重复刷任务)。

@FrozenSnowFox haha, fair. Thanks for the work provided here nonetheless!

@JazzimoX
Not without coding, which I don't know how to do.

Not sure how active this mod is, but...
Could trading without the appropriate title add a markup fee? To encourage titles without blocking you from trading. Like all items cost an extra 50%.

As an American, this mod makes perfect sense. Everything is a formality if your wallet is thick enough.

Okay then it isnt an issue with the mod but me being in the negative with the empire, my bad and thank you for the explanation and help :)

@17
You should be able to trade with them as long as your reputation is neutral or higher even if you previously took the deserter quest. The permit itself is normally granted by having a specific royal title. This mod removes the need for the permit entirely allowing you to trade with them at will. Other than VFE Empire I'm not aware of any mods that might be messing with the trading permit.

Quick question, do you think because I accepted the deserter quest, that because of this I am unable to trade with the empire? this honestly seems like quite a logical conclusion however I dont know how things interact in rimworld
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 24 May, 2024 @ 1:08am
@17
Try moving the mod further down in your mod list. Maybe something is overwriting my mods changes.

cant trade with imperial trade ship, not sure if that was a bug before, but it sure doesnt work now regardless.
Geobeetle 6 Dec, 2023 @ 8:04am
No worries, I wasn't asking for it from ya I was just making a comment that it should be a thing in vanilla
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 6 Dec, 2023 @ 1:28am
@Geobeetle
It's been asked before but that would require coding so its not something I can do.
Geobeetle 4 Dec, 2023 @ 10:34am
You should really be able to BUY a trading permit as well as earning it from titles. It would make sense...

@Torres
Totally an interesting idea though. I think something closer to 5000 would be appropriate.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 14 Feb, 2023 @ 1:12pm
@Torres
That's not something I'd be interested in doing and I don't think it'd be something I could do since it probably needs coding.
Torres 14 Feb, 2023 @ 3:50am
would be amazing if you could actually make something like the neuroformer trainer but call it something like "empire trade permit mark" and you can buy it for a high price, maybe 10k, and that character is allowed to trade with the empire thereafter.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 7:32pm
@Kayedon
I imagine it's probably a bizarre case of RNG and a combination of other factors. I've never thought to keep track of what traders show up so I've never really compared the commonality. Checking the files the empire caravans have a commonality of 1 and other traders don't even list it except slave ones which are population based.

Getting a bunch of traders early on when you have nothing to trade seems to be the norm from what I've seen. Other things that could maybe influence it are the availability of friendly factions, biome temperature, (does distance do any effect?) and other such things.
Kayedon 29 Nov, 2021 @ 7:16pm
Weirdly, having this mod causes me to get an Imperial trader like every single week, and never a trader of another kind, right from the start of the game...

Removed it, repeated, no imperial trader spree. But I looked at it, and cannot for the life of me figure out why RImWorld would be making this happen! You ever heard of this before?
JACK 25 Sep, 2021 @ 7:33pm
finally broke down and added this so I can stop designating a title-holding character in every single playthrough AND making sure that character is both social and free for caravanning, solely for the trade implications
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 27 Aug, 2021 @ 7:57pm
@skycrossercat
Glad you like them. I thought its more interesting than some random picture.
skycrossercat 27 Aug, 2021 @ 7:55pm
The scenarios in your new mods' previews, I like them.

@KingDomRock
If you want you can upload a copy of the mod with a Chinese title and description. It might be easier for Chinese players to find than adding that to the description. I myself do not plan to upload other languages like that as its extra workshop entries to maintain also I do not speak Chinese so that could be a problem.
KingDomRock 4 Aug, 2021 @ 6:46pm
I wanted to make a Chinese patch, but I found that there was no text to be Chinese
KingDomRock 4 Aug, 2021 @ 6:45pm
Hello, can you add titles and descriptions in simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese

Title: 不用爵位也能和帝国交易

Description: 这个mod取消了与帝国势力进行贸易所需的爵位。因此,你不再需要王室头衔来交易一些物品。
lintence91 1 Aug, 2021 @ 12:38am
I'm surprised I never thought of this, but now that I've seen it, I can't go without. :)

Thank you!

this mod makes me hard
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 31 Jul, 2021 @ 12:54am
I've had this sitting in my personal fixes for a long time and I've been meaning to upload it. I'm still surprised I could never find a mod for this myself.
