love this mod but atm im having issues w the unit badge straying away from the unit... not all the time but its killin me lol

All units I have used so far when playing with US units, even when is this the only mod im using. The selection rings are gone though so the mod is doing something just the crosshairs are still there.

@Víkingr , "Show selection icons" unfortunately removes the badges / flags above units as well as the selection icons. That's why your mod is much needed; it removes the circle / square selection sprites *but* preserves the badges/icons above units. Without the badges, finding and managing units is extremely difficult.

Afaik, unchecking the "Show selection icons" Removes all the selection rings for all units. I stopped updating this mod when they added that in a patch awhile back.

It seems the author has abandoned the mod for now, but here's a fix to update it yourself & get rid of the current super heavy tank / AT gun / weapon team selection rings/boxes. Since this mod was last updated, I believe the devs added a few new type classifications for the selection rings that aren't covered by this mod, resulting in random units still having selection rings.
1. Navigate to the mod path at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\400750\2562731625\resource\properties\selection
2. Inside that directory, make 9x copies of the "selectable.dds" file.
3. Rename the 9x copies you just made as follows:
vehicle_big_active
vehicle_big_selectable
vehicle_big_selected
vehicle_elongated_active
vehicle_elongated_selectable
vehicle_elongated_selected
vehicle_small_active
vehicle_small_selectable
vehicle_small_selected

This should get rid of all the selection rings across all units again.

Selection rings (boxes) are visible on vehicles now for some reason...
Been a while since I played GoH but this mod used to hide ALL the selection rings.

hey viking, hope you're doing good. With the new update that came out like a week ago brought in the new tank unit rings. would be cool if you would remove this :steamthumbsup:

Yeah you could always aim with 3rd only but I don't want to alienate people who like direct control and the green aim dot is pretty much essential then.

I will keep making changes to this mod to remove everything that I deem not necessary for gameplay. I'm looking into removing the WoT red silhouette for one, and the flag rings is something I could also remove.

Ok I thought cause you can still aim via 3. person mode. Will this mod remove more things in future? I think much as possbile without making the game too difficult, just for a clear optic.

@Rowdy_dog Sorry but I do not know that, as I'm relatively new to modding the GEM engine but I also don't think it would be very practical as you would have a hard time splitting up squads and telling who from who if that was removed. But if I figure it out, I will let you know.

@HenningNordic That is by design since removing it makes it's confusing to aim in direct control without the green circle for reference.

Hey, yw. I don't really plan on removing that as I don't want to remove valuable information only unnecessary stuff. That's why I kept the health bar for inf as I found it made it too difficult to keep oversight of who was taking hits or not when I removed it. And I suspect removing the flag over units would make it difficult to find your units again.
