So, is the Kondensator cannon a dev-mode only cannon? If it's not why doesn't it fire? I've tried all the shells available for the cannon, selected a nearby enemy outpost inside the acceptable range and it just stays there. No indication that it's on firing cooldown or anything. The shell is there but the weapon is just for decoration at this point. A shame really : /

Hmm... Well, there is the Absolutely More Cannons - CE Version . However, the latest comment says that the CE renamed the ammo so that mod now gives errors. And so even that forked version won't work with CE until it gets updated. Though, the comment explains how to fix it by making a local copy and editing a few lines of code.

Is this still not working with CE?

Last I heard - which was several months ago - there was a bug in CE which prevented the Artillery in "VFE - Security" from working correctly. And my understanding was that the CE dev team would have to be the ones to fix this since it is due to a bug in their project.

Don't worked no shell loaded on 406mm artillery. Vanilla expanded security artillery & nuke missile worked fine.

If you are raiding a map and set the artillery to shot on it, does it allow you to choose more or less where the shells will fall?

Im thinking about running a test with this, absolutely more cannons and SOS2.... rigging naval guns on the side of custom ship to rain barrages from orbit.

Edit: I typed 2A3 into the bar, Still Nothing, And when I place a Gun on the List, There isn't a "Target World Tile" Or "Bombardment" Feature. I have No idea How to USE the Cannons to Bombard a Different World Tile.

Super Quick Question. I have both Dependancies. BUT I do not see the New Artillery Gun added in. Its not in The AMC tab, And its Not in the Security Tab. I've used the New Search Bar, by typing 2A4, Kond, and 406 in and it found nothing. Am I Just Dumb?

This looks great! Just a couple questions. First, can I target specific areas of another tile if I have pawns on it (i.e., part of an enemy base or a formation of their colonists)? Second, will things mitigate the shells effects from the retaliation strikes (like the HEL from Rimatomics, and shields from Vanilla Expanded)?

Incompatibility isnt in this mod, this mod basically copies artillery system from Vanilla expanded security and applies it to to Absolutely more cannons.

So you have to check if artillery from Vanilla expanded security works with CE.

so what is the incompatibility with CE? Is it game breaking, causes either mod not to work, or just stuck with using default ammo? I really like the idea behind this mod and want to use it with CE.

Could you repeat - in rough approximation - what they said about it on the CE Discord, for the rest of us? It would save other CE users from having to either keep asking about it here or bothering about it on the CE Discord.

Compatibility between CE and VFE - Security is (supposedly) confirmed by the CE GitHub "Supported Third Party Mods" list:

That said: Recent comments for the Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Security mod show that there are a lot of complaints about the Artillery. And most of these complaints seem to either blame CE or they mention that they use CE.

A comment on page 3 says:

For those who have the issue of their artillery shells flying off the map when using this with Combat Extended, it's due to an issue with CE having the shell projectile speed set at 5 (or whatever the xml.file has) and not zero. If you don't want to wait for the CE team to push out a fix, just go to Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1631756268\Defs\Ammo\Shell in your files, open 155mmHowitzer.xml, and change <speed>5</speed> to <speed>0</speed>. It should work until a fix is published

of course you'd need to install the CE patch for VFE Security (when someone made one) before this mod, and also you'd need to use AMC CE version not the regular one.

as long as VFE Security not compatible with CE, this will not be compatible.

@ProfZelonka, it shoots at selected tile, if you dont have a colonist at that settlement - the target settlement will be destroyed after getting bombarded for some time.
if you do have a colonist at the settlement and the map is loaded, the shell will land on random spot on the map.

Just want to understand how this works. It shoots at selected tile - I'm guessing you have to have a colonist at that settlement to see the explosions? It hits randomly on that tile map? Sorry if I'm stupid but this info should be included for mod functionality.

Error while instantiating a mod of type VFECore.VFEGlobal: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I keep getting this error and the bug is that when ever i open the "world" tab it loads but none of the UI is there and I cant do anything, have to force close the game.
