@mindustrian2010: If you found that setting, that's where you do it. Do you have the item in your intentory (or held) and clicked so it's enabled? You can tell by the buff you get.
Do you have the encumbering stone equipped?
Does it happen when no other mods are enabled?

how do i enable this in the settings because i am new to terraria and i wantsome qol mods in it. And it seems to be not teleporting to my inventory(i turned on instant option)

@Crescidious: I've thrown items into shimmer to decraft them, and the shimmered ingredients got attracted to me by the magnet properly.

@BurntChow: Thanks for the report. Restart Steam and see if 1.2.0.7 is available/enabled, then test again, I just updated with a fix.

When going to and from subworlds in mods that add new dimensions or whatever the mod authors call them, with subworld library, the magnet deactivates even with the option 'activate on enter' enabled.

Compatibility patch would be nice.

Since you checked the source code already, you can simply recompile the mod with the line removed, see if you run into any desync issues. Just make sure the host has this recompiled mod version.
Also, the actual issue is the invisiblity thing which I would like to resolve, but I can't replicate it hence why I asked

Unsure, but ignoring the invisibility thing, the real issue is that the option is being forcefully re-enabled when connecting to a multiplayer game. I'll just deal with disabling it every time I reconnect, appreciate your time.

No errors on client or server, I'm just wondering why the Buff option is turned back on every time I reconnect instead of just respecting the fact that I want to turn it off.

Is there a reason buff is "forced" in multiplayer? With my modlist it turns my character invisible for my friend, but turning off the buff option fixes it. However, when I reconnect it turns it back on so I have to reset it every time.
I see in Config.cs you have "if (Main.netMode == NetmodeID.Server) Buff = true; // Enforce buff in multiplayer" and was hoping this could either be removed or made optional?

Well, I never even turned this mods' magnetism options on... What exactly should I be looking for?

"Item Pickup Range" is set to 0, so idk. Maybe another mod?

LuiAFK also has a "loot magnet", though it only works when you hold the item. Should be inoffensive, right?

Don't know what's going on, really. It just doesn't work. I can craft the magnet, activate/deactivate it, but... Nothing happens.

I'm using many mods, though that was never a problem back in 1.3.

Thought about making different versions of this item?

-Accessory variant
(if you don't want an item in your bag/hotbar)
-Potion variant
(has strength equal to if already killed all bosses up to all 3 hard mode mechs)
-Summon variant
(grabs loot instead of fighting)
-Pet variant
(just vanity but auto show/hide based on if magnet is toggled on/off)

try restarting steam, and then verifying game integrity of tmodloader. I can subscribe to the mod just fine. You could also try downloading the mod ingame.

This shouldn't be the mod's fault. Are you on stable or preview? Did you already have the mod downloaded but not from the workshop (i.e. by joining someone elses server)?
