I love it.

Okay this is by far the most impressive and expensive and unique and inovative Mining operations ive ever seen. BUT ANSWER ME THIS.

Why is this better than simply a massive miner with 4 earthbreakers or something with onboard refineries?
UKFalcon 3 Aug, 2014 @ 10:18am
innovative.. i like it
Davil3ye 19 May, 2014 @ 3:01pm
I see possibilities as gravity torpedo luncher :)

Jolly good!
Fierce Fred 13 May, 2014 @ 4:15pm
holy shit

This is cool but totally impracticle.
Precurse 12 May, 2014 @ 8:14am
@MMarsMM. LOL? you call him a noob? hes had 241 hours of game time and you only have played 71.
H A T R A X 12 May, 2014 @ 3:25am
oh lol i just noticed the last image xD
H A T R A X 12 May, 2014 @ 3:17am
use it as a gun xd
Throttle  [author] 11 May, 2014 @ 5:19pm
@Renomaki & Braethis. Doesn't have to be one ship. You can skip the rotors entirely. An early prototype I made was three separate individual pieces. Once I had the tech working, the next step was to incorporate it into 1 vessel.
Braethias 11 May, 2014 @ 4:44pm
Wouldn't take that long to build if you skipped the asthetics entirely. This is also pure amazing. I didn't know you could do that with rotors.
Reno Story 11 May, 2014 @ 1:58pm
A shame something like this would take ages to build in survival, as well as buttloads of ore.

Certainly is a nifty little machine.
Electric Messiah 11 May, 2014 @ 11:19am
sweet peas and cardinal mead thats a big ass operation and a kewl cannon :D
OneEyedAkuma 11 May, 2014 @ 10:36am
MMarsMM when you can make something better and show it to us then you can call him a noob
егор пидор 11 May, 2014 @ 9:22am
прикольно
Captain_Tadpole 11 May, 2014 @ 9:18am
Simple Amazing Design.
Wolf 11 May, 2014 @ 9:16am
MMarsMM: Seriously, I'd like to see you do better
Wolf 11 May, 2014 @ 9:15am
MMarsMM: Why call him a noob for making something when you probably don't know how to make a small ship yet?
"Maester" MMarsMM 11 May, 2014 @ 8:09am
nah..noob
Boogidycrook 11 May, 2014 @ 6:59am
Badassery.

Sinon 10 May, 2014 @ 9:11pm
@Throttle after much Youtubeing, and much cursing, I have finnaly figured out how to go into a workshop world... And thanks to that, i've gotten into your world and found out how to do the crazy-ass shit you've done. Brovo, my friend.
a s d 10 May, 2014 @ 7:36pm
Very clever concept. Well done constructing it.
SuspiciousCheese 10 May, 2014 @ 7:30pm
good job unfortunetly everyone here is a human which means this is gonna be a deadly weapon sooner or later
TheHam101 10 May, 2014 @ 5:52pm
Pros: this ship is f@&king awsome. It is a very functional and very creative.

Cons: you can't copy and paste ...

Due to this issue it is impossible to use outside of this save world and so this is why I still perfer this kind of setup:

Most Excellent! I am amazed at what you have accomplished here.
clubbme 10 May, 2014 @ 1:15pm
holy meatballs! that is amazing! good piece of engineering!
Sinon 10 May, 2014 @ 11:39am
@Throttle Thanks man, I almost removed the game from pure anger last night lol. (happy 100 comments btw!)
Bad Helmsman 10 May, 2014 @ 10:59am
It looks like it could be a weapon...
Throttle  [author] 10 May, 2014 @ 10:39am
@MaximumRide - I assume you mean the gravity fields are cancelling each other out. I should update the screenshot because I removed the opposing generators in an update. All that's required is brute force linear acceleration, no need to "confine" the ore. I will work on making a tutorial on the projector and the joints with item transferal.
Sinon 10 May, 2014 @ 10:22am
Can I ask how you made the launcher? I spent all night last night trying to figure it out but they just canceled themselfs out
Susono 10 May, 2014 @ 9:24am

How many freedoms per minute does this badboy fire?
Vardemis 10 May, 2014 @ 4:31am
I can't figure out how the collector the canon work with separate cokpit did someone had a tutorial or so to do it ?
AsG_Alligator 10 May, 2014 @ 3:20am
I was thinking about using collectors/connectors like that, but you made it work much better than I thought my system would. Kudos to you.
Sojournercntl 10 May, 2014 @ 2:49am
Cool

I have never seen anything like this in the workshop or internet! All i can say is that im jellous and that you did a good job.
Dargreed 9 May, 2014 @ 7:43pm
If you check that mode, you will see some drills there.

I made something similar, once. It was a lot worse, though. You mine the ore, go to a nearby cannon, load the ore into the cannon, turn on the gravity generators to fire it, and after it's fired, it flies into a gravity field, where the ore is captured in the center. Issues were, you could only fire one piece of ore at a time, had to stop mining to go to the cannon, and occasionaly the ore would hit part of the gravity field (It looked like that wooshey bit from the Mass Effect relays), and it would deflect the ore, rather then capture it.
