Nobaru, you can use WinMerge if you want to update it yourself manually. It's very shrimple.

Just make a local mod for overriding. I combined other mods (barocraftables and storage icons) to make them put items in those containers as well.

Bots still don't fill up devices with full oxygen tanks/batteries or take them out in vanilla. The only thing they do is put them in the oxygen generator/recharger when they're lying around, and you still have to manually take them out.

It seems like that bots are still bad in this game, unfortunately.

Thanks for letting me know. I don't really look at this mod a lot because the devs made most of what it used to do part of vanilla. It's probably going to take a bit until I get to it.

The mod will alter the game to appear as in an older game version, with changes like the oxygen and fuel-wielding tank stack size reverted, etc.

It's one of the few bot-improving mods that I consider necessary to have.

Please update.

You were entirely correct.
After disabling every mod, the bots still did it anyway, and checking their latest announcement, it seems it's base game behaviour that's bugged.

You are having issues with another mod in that case. This mod doesn't even modify guns or ammo. And it doesn't make the bots do anything by themselves. As the first sentence in the description says: Changes what bots consider as preferred target containers for the cleanup order. That's it.

Crewmates outside the ship will remove diving suits to go store them and die.
The bots remove the oxygen tanks from diving suits in suit storage and store them on lockers. Then don the empty diving suits and die from suffocation.
The mechanics are kleptomaniacs, remove 100% charged batteries from every equipment and try to charge them. If they can't, they either keep it on their belt, or store it somewhere.
Security guards empty their revolvers and neatly pack their bullets away, where they're safe and unable to be fired at all.

Why does this mod override some of the items? Like batteries and plants and O2 tanks?
This makes them incompatible with other mods that use them...?

Putting suits away is a vanilla behaviour. Or at least it should be. I haven't played in a while but I recall them doing it.

Good news: The devs really improved on the tagging for things and bots in vanilla should already do most of the things my mod made them do.
I updated the mod because there are still a hand full of things that are a bit different.

I have no modding exp but is it possible to only override PreferredContainer tags instead of copying all the items properties? This way you wont need to update this mod everytime the game updated

For anyone that want to fix the headset issue :
1. open your AppData folder
2. go to AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment GmbH\Barotrauma\WorkshopMods\Installed\2564375119\Items\Jobgear
3. delete/comment this line in misc.xml using sublime/notepad++/notepad
<RequiredItems items="mobilebattery" type="Contained" />
and
<ItemContainer capacity="1" maxstacksize="1" hideitems="true" containedstateindicatorstyle="battery">
<Containable items="mobilebattery" />
</ItemContainer>

Beware that, until updated , this mod still using stuff before the 3rd anniv update (eg deconstructed headset would give circuit instead of copper)

Im reporting a bug the same as the comment below me, it was never an issue until EK updated a patch that makes their radio use no battery thus making the radio unfunctional

Um hi listen, it turned out that your mod creates a strange bug. when using it, the headphones refuse to work without a battery, which is why there is no connection with bots online completely. Because batteries disappear completely from everywhere.

Looks like Urban Expanses update changed store related stuff in the item data. I'll update as soon as I have the time. Using the mod should be possible but from what I can tell at a quick glance buying/selling/vending machines might not work as expected.

No idea. The guitar has "crewcab" listed as preferred container. But the bots are just weird sometimes. My mod doesn't actually change the bots behaviour. It just changes the tags of items so they get put into better places by the existing bot behaviour.

didnt feel anything, all items where carryd just the same, maybe somthings wrong idk, thank you, making a white list black list mod would be god like tho!!! where you can black list items on a storage, and bots would put things where they have a white list. anyway, thank you, i respect evrymoder in the community, makes games more fun!

Don't run this with an existing save, it turned all of my oxygen tanks, batteries, and fuel rods to normal quality. This would be annoying but manageable but I found while recrafting those things I could only make normal quality fuel rods with an engineer normally capable of masterwork ones.

Must be a conflict with another mod. I just started up a game and I can definitely craft the Oxygenite Tank with 1x Aluminum and 2x Liquid Oxygenite just as it should be. I noticed that the Quality tag was missing from the regular Oxygen Tank though, whatever that means for the game.

lol yup just saw the new update started the game up afterwards and i think with the new added ai commands might have some issues with this mod, cant say for sure as it could just be because i was testing the mod with my changes on an old save from before the new patch but still

Yeah any mods that modify the same items conflict because of how things work with Barotrauma. The only way to resolve this is to make both changes at the same time. Which isn't really hard to do just tedious. It's just a bunch of xml (text) files you can open with with any text editor (like NotePad++ or Sublime) and change the files. You'll see stuff like <Item name="" identifier="stungrenade" category="Equipment" maxstacksize="8" and you just change the 8 of maxstacksize to 32 and boom... you just modded something. Give it a try, it's eye opening how easy it is to get going with modding. You would be surprised how often it's just "open a file and change a number".

hi really find this very useful because i also have another mod that allows me to grow more plants and it works with that nicely but i do have another question. i dont know modding but i also have a third mod that makes the stack size of alot of items go to 32 instead of 8 but it appears to conflict with you mod. i was wondering if you know a way i could fix this.

改变BOTS视为清理顺序的首选目标容器。这个mod只是普通的,它不添加或删除任何东西,所以它保存在任何时候添加/删除。
这个mod只影响AI控制的队友和清理命令!更清楚的是:
-仅影响“清理项目”顺序。
-它只是告诉机器人喜欢下面提到的容器类型。机器人的实际功能取决于游戏代码,而这个mod并没有改变这一点!
单人
-不会影响你主动控制的角色。

-不会影响玩家角色。
