A4 Pursuit... is no longer showing save games (auto or otherwise) under it's LOAD banner, but what's worse? During gameplay, it would not let me manually SAVE (other modules do). What can be done? I tried loading an autosave from the night before from a different subscribed module's folder, and that works, but no the save and load... =(
I agree with korac. It got better and better. Thank you for a terrific job.
Just when I thought I had learned and implemented tactical maneuvering iin Solasta I got ambushed in A4/Pursuit. That was masterfully done. Those battles were challenging and lots of fun.
Also, I appreciate how you integrated the 'module' with the given structure of this game and it's lore.
Nice job!
Also, it'd be nice if the vendor had come along with the HQ move ...
Some good loot upgrades towards the end gave me truly ridiculous AC on my frontliners, which helped make the last battles much easier. Still enjoyed the map design, especially the lava cave at the end.
Recommended custom module!
The only suggestion I would make is allow a route to the merchant at the very end perhaps (just to tidy things up, otherwise the barkeep is going to be wondering how he's ever going to convert all the collected ironmongery to coin the morning after !)
Yeah A3 Stockade of the Slavelords is based on A2 Secret of the Slavers Stockade, and without being able to do some of the rather evil traps in that one, the fights aren't as hard as in the others. Its a cool layout, and I was able to get all the verticality that was supposed to be in those fights due to the tilesets used... but honestly the fights aren't as intense as in the others except for the Keep fight if you take it head on rather than sneak in. Mostly because you end up at 7th level halfway through.
And it does appear the Custom Items do not transfer between modules. I reported it to the Devs and they confirmed.
I just finished this series, i liked it a lot, my only complaint would be that module 3 was too easy (no difficult fights at all). Module 4 last fight was great.
Also minor bug - i found Greatsword of Stunning (save or paralized) in module 2, but after transfering my characters to module 3 the sword dissapeared.
First you have to go to the left and find the room with the switch... that opens a door on the right side of the main chamber... leading to another room with a switch... that in turn opens a door on the north side of the main chamber... inside that room is a secret door... behind that... is what you seek.
Its a false path the Tomb creator intended to kill possible tomb raiders. That whole thing is a cache for magical treasure that is hidden there. So it was designed just like the tombs in actual history.
Steve: Thanks for the compliments Steve. I am glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately at the time this series was made was two generations back in the Toolset, so Magical Crossbows were not available at that time. They are in the latest toolset, but were not when this one was made long ago.
Notes:
1. My Ranger ended the game at level 10 still using the starting Heavy Crossbow. Never found any magic crossbows. Even the vendors sold +1 versions of evey kind of weapon except crossbows. I crafted bolts when possible but crafting recipes get reset between each module. +1 Arrows were plentiful but not bolts. Please add some love for Heavy Crossbow users!
2. No Spell Focus (Druidic) items anywhere to be found. Rangers and Druids can also use Spell Focus (Universal) but those only come in pouches and amulets so you loose your utility slot or amulet slot. Arcane and Divine casters have lots of different options for spell focus. Please add some Spell Focus (Druidic) items.
I can move slightly around, to the right, a dead end, to the left, seems like a stair but I can't progress forward. Looks like I'm very much stuck. Tried sneaking if I'd notice anything, nope. Tried running around. Nothing helps.
I bumped the level requirements in the settings to 8th, and pushed it earlier so you can take that party if you want. This is a high level adventure so 1 level won't make much difference in play.
I went through the entire series with 3 different parties killing everything on every map and never ended up at 8th level for this.
But yeah I can do that, I just have no idea how you got 8th level.
But then again, you are high level at this point and the items from the previous modules should have you well equipped to deal with it.
Scouting will definitely be your friend in this one.
