I think you may need to reinstall your game or verify your files, that sounds like a game bug not a module bug.

STEVE....HELP!!
A4 Pursuit... is no longer showing save games (auto or otherwise) under it's LOAD banner, but what's worse? During gameplay, it would not let me manually SAVE (other modules do). What can be done? I tried loading an autosave from the night before from a different subscribed module's folder, and that works, but no the save and load... =(

Excellent job on the whole series. I have played through solo and with friends and enjoyed it each time. Thanks

Definitely would recommend this series to anyone as one of the premier Workshop series to download and play.

I agree with korac. It got better and better. Thank you for a terrific job.

Just when I thought I had learned and implemented tactical maneuvering iin Solasta I got ambushed in A4/Pursuit. That was masterfully done. Those battles were challenging and lots of fun.

Also, I appreciate how you integrated the 'module' with the given structure of this game and it's lore.

Nice job!

Thoroughly enjoyed A1-->A4, and in fact I would say it just got better & better as it went along. In some ways I found it even more enjoyable than the game's own campaigns, especially in terms of the combat balance - very challenging throughout, without being ridiculously difficult or boringly easy... Kudos for a job very well done. Take my points!

@silverquick - Finally completed all 4, however came out at the end at level 11, but some tough scraps. Very well done, enjoyed them all and they got better and better as it went. Many thanks for take the time to create these. Highly recommend all 4 in order to anyone looking for a good dungeon crawl! Good old times were had!.

These were very fun. Needs fast travel waypoints!

Also, it'd be nice if the vendor had come along with the HQ move ...

Just started and have to say that I'm sad to see that my barbarians offhand, the Shortsword +2, of slowing is lost in the character export at the end of A3. But, since I have over 40k in gold by now, I substituted that item for an default Shortsword +1 from the smuggler. So of we go and see what we can trade it for :D

Followup to A3 Stockade of the Slave Lords. This one was weird, balance-wise: everything felt super rude, with some of the top-tier core enemies and the ridiculous swarms of enemies now including ogres and Soraks, but nonetheless I was now high enough level that I didn't have a single character fall down the entire time. Still, had a lot of fun with it, especially strategizing how to avoid getting blown out by Crimson Spiders early on. Started at level 8, finished at 11 - well, 10 really, since I only levelled up to 11 after the final battle, but yeah.

Some good loot upgrades towards the end gave me truly ridiculous AC on my frontliners, which helped make the last battles much easier. Still enjoyed the map design, especially the lava cave at the end.

Recommended custom module!

I've finally made it through all four chapters in the slaver series. Good fun was had. I think the encounters in the last module was really funny and well thought out. Thumbs up! Thanks for making this!

Ahhh. Thanks for the quick reply!
Silverquick  [author] 28 Jul, 2022 @ 10:04am
That's all that's in there There is no second level for that place. Its just a random ruin in the middle of the adventure with nice stuff in it you can obtain if you figure out the way to open the vault. Your true goal is the Caverns of the Remorhaz further into the forest.

Enjoying the series so far but I'm stuck on the level 2 catacombs. Found the pressure plate in the big cave room, and the switches in the rooms north and south. Found the hidden room with all the undead and got the psionic dagger and a bunch of other nice loot. But how do I get down to the next level? For the life of me I don't see the exit.
benj_harrison 12 Jul, 2022 @ 7:47pm
Hey I just finished playing your A1 -A4. Those were a lot of fun, thanks for doing this -- totally took me back to the old tabletop days!
Hamburger_Pun 10 Jul, 2022 @ 9:36pm
Bummed the short sword of slowing didn't make it over from the 3rd module! But enjoying these very much
DragonDoom 25 May, 2022 @ 1:09pm
Loved it !
The only suggestion I would make is allow a route to the merchant at the very end perhaps (just to tidy things up, otherwise the barkeep is going to be wondering how he's ever going to convert all the collected ironmongery to coin the morning after !)
Silverquick  [author] 21 May, 2022 @ 9:11am
It will likely come with the next expansion.... since I don't have any snow or "Rift" environments. Also I'd need to do some creative work and use the Actual CEP in order to create the Steading. So I'll have to wait a bit on a full Against the Giant's series.
Barden 21 May, 2022 @ 7:49am
I really enjoy your work! Any thought of continuing the series with "Against the Giants" (probably levels 10-12)? Sooner or later the level cap will rise again, opening the door for the D (Drow) series. My favorite series of modules that I played as a teen back in the day.
Silverquick  [author] 15 May, 2022 @ 10:16am
Thanks Ahriman
Yeah A3 Stockade of the Slavelords is based on A2 Secret of the Slavers Stockade, and without being able to do some of the rather evil traps in that one, the fights aren't as hard as in the others. Its a cool layout, and I was able to get all the verticality that was supposed to be in those fights due to the tilesets used... but honestly the fights aren't as intense as in the others except for the Keep fight if you take it head on rather than sneak in. Mostly because you end up at 7th level halfway through.

And it does appear the Custom Items do not transfer between modules. I reported it to the Devs and they confirmed.
Ahriman 15 May, 2022 @ 10:04am
Hey there,

I just finished this series, i liked it a lot, my only complaint would be that module 3 was too easy (no difficult fights at all). Module 4 last fight was great.

Also minor bug - i found Greatsword of Stunning (save or paralized) in module 2, but after transfering my characters to module 3 the sword dissapeared.
blackoak 2 May, 2022 @ 10:37am
Great adventures, remind me of playing the old P&P modules. Is there a game mechanic reason there are no healing potion crafting recipes other then basic? I did lose my shortsword of slowing transferring between 3rd and 4th modlules. Duplicated it twice maybe a coding issue on the item?
Silverquick  [author] 24 Apr, 2022 @ 11:46am
It is not easy to find Stardancer

First you have to go to the left and find the room with the switch... that opens a door on the right side of the main chamber... leading to another room with a switch... that in turn opens a door on the north side of the main chamber... inside that room is a secret door... behind that... is what you seek.
Stardancer 24 Apr, 2022 @ 11:23am
Well, I went through the whole map twice with Truesight, so it must be pretty well hidden. :)
Guurzak 23 Apr, 2022 @ 6:32pm
OK, I can live with that. You should put like 1 copper or a ration in it just to rub it in =)
Silverquick  [author] 23 Apr, 2022 @ 3:06pm
Lol yes its a total sucker play.
Its a false path the Tomb creator intended to kill possible tomb raiders. That whole thing is a cache for magical treasure that is hidden there. So it was designed just like the tombs in actual history.
Guurzak 23 Apr, 2022 @ 3:02pm
Is it intended that the chest at the end of the long firetrap hallway be empty? Feels bad to work through all those traps to get nothing as a reward, and then an extra FU on the altar to go with it.
Silverquick  [author] 23 Apr, 2022 @ 9:13am
Stardancer: That is actually a complex series of mechanisms that will get you a cache of magic items. Its not critical to the game... but helpful if you can figure it out... and find the secret door at the end of it.

Steve: Thanks for the compliments Steve. I am glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately at the time this series was made was two generations back in the Toolset, so Magical Crossbows were not available at that time. They are in the latest toolset, but were not when this one was made long ago.
Stardancer 23 Apr, 2022 @ 9:10am
When you go in the building attached to the forest, there's a floor plate that leads to a button. That opens up the opposite side which leads to another button. What does the second button do? I can't figure it out. :(
Steve 27 Mar, 2022 @ 6:16pm
So much fun, big thanks to the author for all the time and effort you put in to creating this series. I really enjoyed it and appreciate all your great work! I would highly recommend this adventure to everyone! My party went from level 1 to 10 and enjoyed every minute.

Notes:
1. My Ranger ended the game at level 10 still using the starting Heavy Crossbow. Never found any magic crossbows. Even the vendors sold +1 versions of evey kind of weapon except crossbows. I crafted bolts when possible but crafting recipes get reset between each module. +1 Arrows were plentiful but not bolts. Please add some love for Heavy Crossbow users!

2. No Spell Focus (Druidic) items anywhere to be found. Rangers and Druids can also use Spell Focus (Universal) but those only come in pouches and amulets so you loose your utility slot or amulet slot. Arcane and Divine casters have lots of different options for spell focus. Please add some Spell Focus (Druidic) items.

Holy cow that final fight was crazy! I was almost to the point of thinking it was impossible until I used my noggin. Once again another amazing piece of work.
Silverquick  [author] 23 Jan, 2022 @ 11:07am
Well thank you for playing.
themason11 19 Jan, 2022 @ 12:00pm
Great conclusion to the series. Thanks for all your hard work.
Silverquick  [author] 18 Nov, 2021 @ 1:54pm
Ok after much searching I finally found the issue you were talking about, it was a corrupted tile that had to be rebuilt. I just pushed an update, so you should get it in your STEAM downloads, when you resume your saved game you should get a version conflict message... select the option for FROM DISK, and it will correct your saved game with the new changes. You may have to use Alt-Tab to move your mouse over the option as the mouse cursor may disappear due to a TA Bug but that method will allow you to selected the correct option
Kaerwek 18 Nov, 2021 @ 1:26pm
I came to the first lava level as Level 10.

I can move slightly around, to the right, a dead end, to the left, seems like a stair but I can't progress forward. Looks like I'm very much stuck. Tried sneaking if I'd notice anything, nope. Tried running around. Nothing helps.
Silverquick  [author] 7 Aug, 2021 @ 10:35pm
Its not a problem Acadiantri,
I bumped the level requirements in the settings to 8th, and pushed it earlier so you can take that party if you want. This is a high level adventure so 1 level won't make much difference in play.
Acadiantri 7 Aug, 2021 @ 9:25am
Not sure. I think I switched out my party in your first module for the party I used in my module, Cultist Compound. Both were 4th level at the end, but the CC party was pretty close to 5th. No worries though. I went back to an earlier save and plan to start with a 6th level party when I get the chance.
Silverquick  [author] 7 Aug, 2021 @ 8:49am
Ok I just pushed it up, you should get the update now.
Silverquick  [author] 7 Aug, 2021 @ 8:46am
How in the heck did you get 8th level characters Acadiantri?
I went through the entire series with 3 different parties killing everything on every map and never ended up at 8th level for this.

But yeah I can do that, I just have no idea how you got 8th level.
Acadiantri 7 Aug, 2021 @ 6:04am
My characters from this series are 8th level, so I can't use them? (Without a mod to lower their level?)
Silverquick  [author] 5 Aug, 2021 @ 7:01pm
Also while in the Forest, don't forget to use the Alt Key, those chop through brambles can be hard to spot sometimes.
Silverquick  [author] 5 Aug, 2021 @ 5:08pm
Just a word of caution, this one might be a little more deadly than the last ones were.
But then again, you are high level at this point and the items from the previous modules should have you well equipped to deal with it.
Scouting will definitely be your friend in this one.
