Report a translation problem
The game renders the entire model, but randomized textures = only specific parts of the mesh become visible. I got the idea after trying to port Borderlands guns and found out that's how theirs work, but didn't know how to apply it to L4D until I realized Ellie's RNG stuff would do the trick.
It says over 1.6k combinations but I don't know how to edit it
IRL suppressors wear out and lose the ability to make shots quieter over time, as well as get filled with carbon until they stop working altogether:

Fun stuff.
@Crimsovil: That's a limitation of the game engine- Source doesn't do blending/shading layers, otherwise I could've made it do that (but it would only be visible when looking down the sights).
Probably when I have enough components to make it.
