Unless you have a work tab mod that expands the priorities, you’ll never see it.

Can't get the job to show up in the work list. So.. might be some sort of compatibility issue happening, not sure what mod would be doing so tho.. :tobdog:

As this is a simple xml patch, it is working fine in 1.5, including with modded work tabs.

By the way, if you delete the first / in <xpath>/Defs, it should improve patch performance a little.

To everyone who may be looking at this mod like I was for merging items on shelves : Link your shelves in rimworld with the "Link Settings" option which will automatically have people merge items together.

Does this work with the new shelving feature (3 stacks of items per block)?
In vanilla, I seem to be unable to merge from shelf to shelf (Like 1 medicine into 10 to make 11)

You can combat this by adjusting the individual priority of the Merge job. Say default priority is 3 and it's the first on the list with this mod. You can change it to 5, while leaving the others at 3 and it will only stack the stuff first if there isn't other jobs to do first. A little micro, but since I play with a large pawn colony, I hardly ever notice it tbh. Or, you could just increase the general haul priority (with the list expanded) a little to say like 2.

i like this mod but it annoys me that my haulers will prioritize reorganizing one stack of hauling all the other stuff that's not in a stockpile

Is it possible to add a function where pawns automatically pocket harvested crops, foraged berries, & etc while also generating a task to haul/unload items picked up in this manner instead of just leaving things on the ground for animals to eat &/or for other colonists to haul at another time? I haven't found another mod which changes this behavior from vanilla, and it's bothered me for some time.

HOLY CRAPBALLS I'm so farking OCD this is a game changer right up there with Prepare Carefully! I just added this to an existing game and no issues whatsoever. Thank you thank you thank you I have haul priority set at 3 and they are just stacking stuff like mad organizing stuff as it should be. Everything is soooo much better now. This is a MUST HAVE mod!

Yup I just checked... I think the Workshop was taking its time to get me the right version. x_x I hope they fix that cuz heavily moddable games like RimWorld and others really rely on timely updates.

Hmm. I've tried resubbing but I'm still getting this error:

Mod Stack Stuff First did not load any content. Following load folders were used:

Oh nice. I didn't even know the merging thing was a vanilla thing. I assumed a mod like Pick Up and Haul added that. Is it new to 1.3 or something?

This should make for a useful alternative to Haul to Stack then, which I've often had trouble with.

All this mod does is change the priority of the game's built in "Merge stacks" from 5 to 155. (effectively making it first priority)

Should another mod change priority of other jobs beyond 155 it will no longer be first. But given this is just Def's and not assemblies, it should be highly compatible.

how does this work in comparison to Haul to Stack? Are there any conflicts with the mods that Haul to Stack also has?
Or does this mod make Haul to Stack work better?
