@Scherub I deleted my previous comment because I found out the mod is actually working fine, I just didn't know the xp came once the bill was completed
Scherub  [author] 2 Jul @ 8:51am
Yep, could be. If you want to know for sure, disable the other mod and see whether it works. You can also try changing the mod order to see whether this has any effect.
Scherub  [author] 2 Jul @ 12:07am
I'm sorry, but somehow I missed your post. Unfortunately, I don't know what green arrow you're talking about.

I would also need to know which RimWorld version you're using.
Bodacious Cowboy 27 Jun @ 9:55am
Should stonecutting show the green arrow on the skills menu using this mod? I don't think my colonists are getting xp.
Scherub  [author] 14 Jun @ 11:49pm
I've updated this mod to v1.10, which adds support for the upcoming RimWorld v1.6.

I had to make a minor code change for the mod-configuration page to work. Other than that, after a bit of testing, it seems to be running fine.

If you still encounter any problems with this mod, please let me know.
XGGJI1 7 Mar @ 11:39am
Just a minor compatibility issue: When used with Rimsenal - Spacer Faction Pack , the "Cut Any Stone" order for the Survival Station from that mod will disappear. Anyway, Thanks for your work !
Tiny Tony 2 Mar @ 4:39am
Aye, thanks mate.
Scherub  [author] 2 Mar @ 4:23am
@Toughest Gun In The West: I just subscribed to my mod and it showed up in RimPy as "Stonecutting Extended".

Occasionally, Steam doesn't download all files. Try unsubscribing and after waiting for a bit, try re-subscribing.

You can also check the files and compare them with the archive you can find on GitHub.

@Darkest_97: If the default XP gain is too much, you can lower it by adjusting the XP multiplier.
Darkest_97 1 Mar @ 6:11pm
I don't want this to be OP. I read they disabled XP for stonecutting because it was too much. Are the default settings a lot? I don't know what the default gain rate is for other crafting things.
Tiny Tony 1 Mar @ 4:32pm
What is the actual mod name? I cannot get it to show up in my Rimpy, it's the only new mod I have this problem with.

切任意石頭時有增加
我忘記測試一次切三個的工作,可以試試看
應該是只有支援原版的工作項目
其他MOD的工作項目,不會增加經驗值

Increase when cutting any stone
I forgot to test the work of cutting three at a time, you can try it
It should be a work item that only supports the original version
Other MOD work items will not increase experience points

Can you link the mod you're using, please? I'll take a look at it.

But it would be better, if the Rimhammer Dwarf mod's stone cutting table just derives from the correct type, that would fix it and potentially other problems automatically. Perhaps you can ask there first?
Gearhammer 28 Jan @ 11:55am
I found it. I dont get exp from dawi stonecutter table from Rimhammer Dwarf mod, its set on crafting skill. From other stonecutter tables(vanilla, Medieval Overhaul exe.) are working fine and pawns get exp from them. Also set for crafting skill. So can you make some patch for Rimhammer Dwarf mod?
Scherub  [author] 28 Jan @ 4:35am
Oh, I somehow missed this comment from November. The most likely reason why you don't get any XP is another mod that conflicts with this mod.

Also, make sure you're looking at the right skill gaining XP.
Gearhammer 28 Jan @ 3:22am
me too
BigFatLaDy 22 Nov, 2024 @ 10:59am
I dont get XP
Scherub  [author] 14 Oct, 2024 @ 6:22am
I've just tested "Vanilla Expanded Framework" with all of my mods, Camera+ and RimHUD and didn't encounter any problems.

There was also a second update of "Vanilla Expanded Framework" yesterday. Did you make sure that this was installed, too? You can use RimSort or RimPy to check whether you have the latest version installed.

Unfortunately, "Vanilla Expanded Framework" doesn't have a changelog, and glancing over the commit comments, I don't really see why they should clash.
u m a m i 14 Oct, 2024 @ 5:32am
Thanks for updating this. Seems like last night "vanilla framework extended" updated and the two mods clash and crash now. No idea if that info is good to you. Seems to work fine on its own though!
Scherub  [author] 13 Oct, 2024 @ 6:50am
Have you checked, whether the last point of the FAQ applies to you?
Waldrof 13 Oct, 2024 @ 6:27am
Seems like its no longer working, i put the bill to break 3x stones and the result is only 20 stones ( as if i selected to make only 1 stone)
Scherub  [author] 18 Sep, 2024 @ 12:04am
I hope it is okay if I just quote myself:

> I don't know how the Tweaks Galore mod has implemented the stonecutting xp gain, and I haven't tested the compatibility so far. But I don't think it will double the xp gain. It might depend on the mod load order which mod 'wins' and therefore changing the used skill might have no effect.

But I wouldn't mind if you test the behavior and report back, so I could add it to the FAQ. Unfortunately, I don't have much time right now for any of my mods.
NuanKi 17 Sep, 2024 @ 9:21pm
how does this works with tweaks galore "Skilled Stonecutting"?
Scherub  [author] 22 Jul, 2024 @ 2:30am
Thank you for letting me know. I've uploaded a new (untested) version which should fix this problem.
turtle0574 20 Jul, 2024 @ 1:05pm
[K]Extra Stone(w/ Cupro's Textures) changed the internal names of their stone chunks on June 4 2024 and this causes lots of errors and the game to freeze when both mods are installed. I am not demanding a fix since it is the other mod author's fault in the first place, I just thought someone should know. The author of [K]Extra Stone said in reference to a similar issue with MoreFloors that only the maker of MoreFloors could fix compatibility. https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/f706c78bd517fdf1b1fa084c18916561
Waterkate 13 Jul, 2024 @ 1:43pm
would it be possible to get an option for building exp as well?
Scherub  [author] 12 Jul, 2024 @ 6:19am
I was about to suggest to create an issue on GitHub, when I saw that about 3 years ago, there was already someone with a similar problem. Unfortunately, there was no follow up from the issue creator.

So if you can create a new issue ( https://github.com/Scherub/rw-stonecutting-extended/issues ) there, post / attach your log and perhaps provide your save game, perhaps then I would be able to reproduce and fix the problem.
Russo 11 Jul, 2024 @ 10:55pm
And I don't have mods that change the options window in the mods, does an error appear when the screen freeze is interested in seeing?
It is probably this option to clean the room, but it is also because of some need that appears while the task is being completed. Take a long time to complete so...
Scherub  [author] 11 Jul, 2024 @ 3:33pm
Nope, I haven't heard this before. Do you have any mod installed that changes the mod options window, the load order, tries to speed up something, anything that changes the interface or loading process, not just the gameplay itself?

Have you looked at the reason the pawn stops cutting stones? When it stops, what is the next job in the queue? "Common Sense" sometimes adds a job to clean up the room before continuing the initial task.
Russo 11 Jul, 2024 @ 2:40pm
Another problem that happens is that if I open the mod's settings the window freezes and I only have to restart the game to get back to normal, has anyone commented on something similar?
Russo 11 Jul, 2024 @ 2:37pm
Well, there is the possibility of another mod that causes this, I have more than 100 mods on the list but the biggest ones would perhaps be common sense, CE, Dubs... And I believe it happens due to "crafting time" really, if the settler has the Low skill level happens several times but if have a high level it is rare. I took the test to be sure
Scherub  [author] 7 Jul, 2024 @ 8:45am
Occasionally, pawns stop cutting stones to start a high-priority job like eating food. But I've rarely run into this. It might be more obvious if a pawn has a low crafting / artistic / construction level, as it will take more time to finish the job, so there is more time for another job to interfere with the stone cutting job. You can tweak the settings in the mod options menu.

But there are other mods, such as the common sense mod, that might cause such issues by changing the default behavior. Personally, I haven't experienced any issues and you're the first reporting such problems.
Russo 7 Jul, 2024 @ 4:04am
oh yeah, ty for this incredible mod i loved that
Russo 7 Jul, 2024 @ 4:03am
My colonists sometimes/almost always stop cutting stone and start the whole process over again, is that just me?
Wolfman-RIP 11 Jun, 2024 @ 3:57am
I see, thank you for clarification.
Scherub  [author] 10 Jun, 2024 @ 10:00pm
The pawn will only gain xp after the work is done, not continuously while cutting stones. Have you also checked the right skill (Artistic, Construction, Crafting)?
Wolfman-RIP 10 Jun, 2024 @ 5:05pm
Not gaining crafting Xp with 1.4 I have tried increasing xp gain and still no tickup with xp
Scherub  [author] 3 Jun, 2024 @ 10:58am
Thank you for the report. I didn't realize the new old version has a different package ID. I hope my change solves the problem.
Holgast 3 Jun, 2024 @ 5:49am
the change to extra stone broke existing saves, so there are still a bunch of people using the 'old' version. they have different packageIds so you can do a loadfolders to target each one and use the old or new names
Scherub  [author] 29 May, 2024 @ 3:59pm
Thanks for letting me know. I've just uploaded a new version, where the stone type definitions (only for v1.5) have been changed accordingly.
Nyx (She/Her) 29 May, 2024 @ 3:47pm
Yeah, just bulk-replaced the names on my end to test and the errors go away. Simple enough, three cycles of Replace All with notepad++ :P
Nyx (She/Her) 29 May, 2024 @ 3:38pm
Likely effects the alternative version as well, recommend at least taking a peek at it on your end (I don't use it myself).. Blocks got a similar renaming. The name scheme is consistent as well so bulk replacement may be easy to do
Scherub  [author] 29 May, 2024 @ 3:24pm
Is the only affected mod "[K]Extra Stone"? Or does it affect "[K]Extra Stone(w/ Cupro's Textures)" as well?
Nyx (She/Her) 29 May, 2024 @ 3:21pm
for quick reference Chunk_Andesite is now ChunkKura_Andesite (Probably for compatibility reasons)
Nyx (She/Her) 29 May, 2024 @ 3:20pm
yeah after investigating it seems they changed the chunk naming scheme for [K] Extra Stone so the included recipe file targets nonexistant chunks
Nyx (She/Her) 29 May, 2024 @ 3:18pm
Seems to target the wrong internal name of Extra Stone for patching, now. Or something along those lines. Lotta null output errors for that mod's stones now that its using a new internal name?
Scherub  [author] 29 May, 2024 @ 8:05am
As the FAQ above states: As long as the used workbench is a TableStonecutter, it should work. This also applies to electric workbenches.
Father 28 May, 2024 @ 9:07pm
does this work for electric stonecutting?:dip:
L. Velociraptor 21 May, 2024 @ 8:10am
Thank you so much, Scherub!
Scherub  [author] 21 May, 2024 @ 12:30am
I've just uploaded a new version which adds bulk recipes for the mod 'Gulden Biome'.
