Thank you for your kind words. You are more than welcome to use any of my works or ideas. Wishing you good luck on your project!
Great job on the retexturing!
As the creator of Total Rebalance I want to thank you for sharing the Spartan Hoplite Texture!
I made sure to put a link and credits on the relevant page to your work.
(Total Rebalance: Rome Refactioned for now, and Total Rebalance: Rome Rebundled as of probably tomorrow)

It reminds me, reading about the Spartans that their youths used the same dressing as the Vanilla Spartan uniform, the youth during the training. I think they appear as such in Rome 2 Vanilla Spartan, as Militias
I always detested how mediocre and boring they made the spartans originally.
Featuring them at their absolute lowest point yet still calling them an elite unit that isnt even wearing any bloody armor.
Ridiculous.
Best wishes
A few weeks ago, I get an honorable request to help work on the Total Conquest project witch I gladly accepted. This is not mean that I will not continue my Imperial Truth mods, but for now, I have to put it on hold. I updated most of the mods to be available four you, except the Units and Building mods. This is because it would be terribly time-consuming (which I don't have) and it will be completely redone when I will continue the series. During the work with the TC team, I will be able to learn from the bests, which I will try to repay with quality help. I also started to learn how to use Blender, and with that, I will be able to create my models instead of just using and recoloring the existing ones.
I would like to thank you all for your friendly support and helpful feedback I will try to do my best to come back and redone/continue the series.
And this is why I started to learn Blender. Sadly I usually only have time on weekends, so It will be a slow process, but after that, I will be able to create my own models and animations.
I am really glad you enjoyed my work and were able to use it for your own. Yes sure, let me add you to the Steam friend list, and I will send you an address where you can share it with me. I am curious. Thank you!
Finally I managed to have the spears in the right direction by copying / pasting "Spartan Pylos" info from your "descr_unit" file of the Mod (Units and Buildings Overhaul) because in the Mod proposed here, there is no has that the file "descr_battle".
Now it works fine except I wanted to remove the "phalanx" formation and replace it with the "shield wall" formation from BI. I did and it works well too.
"skeleton fs_javelinman, fs_slow_swordsman"
When they use spears like javelins it will not be upside down. Of Course, if you know how to model you can do this in a more elegant way, sadly I'm don't know yet.
I did not know this link, I am now studying this.
By the way, I just saw that my Spartans are holding their spear upside down. They strike with the side that does not have a point.
Did you change anything other than "fs_javelinman" in the "desc_model_battle" file?
No problem, here: https://github.com/FeralInteractive/romeremastered#tool-guides
IWTE - Extremely useful tool for any modder.
Good luck, if you need help, feel free to ask.
You told me you open "pbr" files with "IWTE" but I can't find this software on the internet. Can you give me the full name of this one so that I can try it ?.
Did you tried to run the game with realistic coloring?
Thank you, Corythus, but I don't speak a word of English. I use several translators to write and proofread what I write. So I can't speak on a "chat" like "Discord". Thank you all the same.
Photoshop is fine, I've been using it for years. But the "pbr" files allow you to define shapes and volumes. With photoshop I can open them but I don't know how to modify them. So I will try with IWTE, thank you.
Could you tell me with what software you opened and modified the .pbr files of the units?
As far as I know, it is a save game compatible, because it will not add or remove any more units or change anything else.
You can get all of the achievements by using any of the mods. This is not like Vermintide 2 or DRG when the developers first have to approve a mod.
Hope It helps. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
The Hoplon shield should be a bit larger Corythus
This mod is updated with the folowings:
- Armoured Argyraspides added.
- Fixed sword sheath textureless white color for Greek units.
- Fixed the thin black texture line on the back of the greek helmets.
- Fixed the shining colorless stain on some Greek armor and helmet.
- Melee Greek units portrais and textures updated.
Despite the lack of my time, I made an economy fix for my "Units and Buildings Overhaul" mod thanks to tester Pyrrus who gave me constructive feedback about how broken was the gold income in my mod. Income is drastically reduced, from now you will need more cities to upkeep a well-equipped army. I also used walls, to convert (not equally) trade income to tax income. In this way changing a cities taxes gives a greater impact on the overall economy.
Some unit values were also reduced for all units to gives space to unit ranking. Temples are a bit redone, to keep the uniqueness of the factions.
All changes all showed in the mods google document which you can find in the Steam mod description.
The new patch is probably not saved game compatible, sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any idea or feedback please let me know in the discussion topics to constantly improve the mods and with it the overall gaming experience.
Wish you a great weekend!
