This mod just changes defines, theoretically it doesn't need any DLC, and no chance for incurring any problem. Did you occur CTD with this mod only? If there is a error log, it may be easier to locate the problem.
Hey thanks for the mod, that's exactly what i needed ! Although my game is really unstable with the mod on, do I need Leviathan for it to work ? Cause i just wanted the natives not to have provinces with more dev than Paris in 1510
At the beginning when all tribal land is just a purple outline that will anger natives no. But one of the native reforms allows them to fully annex every uncolonized tribal land province. It has ruined colonizing in North America as there are super native nations occupying the entire continent by 1500
But tribal land won't block you colonizing it, right?
The answer is no, natives need reform to other governments as normal countries but much slower, this mod just reduce their development. However, the speed of reforming will decrease since they have less development.
I think that was the second biggest complain I saw regarding natives and I wonder if you have this covered as well
Because the AI Natives should not be able to over-power your Colonies in a straight up 1 on 1.
Player natives in multiplayer, or even single player used to be able to win even before they got buffed/reworked.
Now, you have to speedrun-conquer all of North and South America in Singleplayer so the natives don't kill your colonies instantly, or you have to play a native country in Multiplayer if you want to be a strong power in the region.
Vanilla, of course.
Did you really played once with what you said?
Tribal development will be remove once conquered or reformed.
Natives were playable before, but it was a difficult run - which is kind of the point of playing them. A Native run is supposed to be challenging, a test of skill for even the best players, because IRL it *was* very difficult for native Americans to survive the age of colonisation as independent states.
The dev boost they got in the last update didn't make it playable, it made it laughably easy for native tags - not just for them to survive the age of colonisation, but to remain major regional powers and even to kick the Europeans out. While that's an interesting scenario, the point of EU4 and similar games is to simulate historical divergence within a framework of realism, not to ignore history altogether.
Having even one native province with more development than Paris or Beijing is outside the realm of realistic divergence, much less the three dozen or so you can expect to discover as a colonial player.
Maybe you want a native, with about 3k populations, has stronger power than a prince with more than 30k populations? Those tribal paying nothing for ghost developments but much faster growing than those spend resources on improve development. What a shame on a "histroical stimulate" game, in which the more primitive the more powerful, without any skill or experience.
@Nocty1501
Has it not occurred to anyone that the whole point of the tribal development mechanic is to make natives, you know, playable?
Paradox should be paying you
