Color Fixer reminds me of something else....

Working as of Jan 7 2025. The game is unlikely to receive further updates, so you can assume it will work forever. Until Muscular.Alien or someone else creates an update to the mod, you will either have to live with the colors flashing when the characters blink, or perform the following workaround:

Find the steamapps folder on the disk you installed the game into and use the search bar to look for "Neville".
Right click -> "open file location". You will see all the modded images.
Select all of the images and copy them into the "anim" folder.
Now use a Renamer program or manually add " _0 " (underscore zero) to the end of each filename. This stops the flashing but also stops them from blinking.

Soo does this still work or no?

@Muscular.Alien
Not sure if you're still interested in updating this, but as an FYI you can overwrite blink frames by placing the new files in an anim folder and then appending the animation frame number to the end. Since all the blink animations are only a single frame, this just means adding "_0" to the end of their names.

So for example:
Neville Base file: elements/neville_a.png
Neville Blink file: elements/anim/neville_a_0.png

Damn, Thought this was a Library of Ruina Mod.

@jeremia @crimson_fluf I am not in the business of recolouring other peoples custom followers, as not only is it a lot of work, I would need permission from everyone to do it. Although I did superjw2's followers, he was very specific about his colour choices.

What do you mean mods don't work on mac? I play on a mac, I use mods, they work. I'm confused.
Specifically downloaded this mod, and unless it's not working as intended and I haven't noticed everything seems fine. The only thing that doesn't work for me is because I have more followers modded in, so naturally their colors are off. Speaking of, it would be cool if this was compatible with the other followers mods out there.

Thanks for making this mod! I'm a new player and this really helps to make playing the game easier, makes organizing the board simpler, and it makes perfect sense that followers would be colored for their aspect.

Any chance there might be a compatibility patch for superjw2's Followers mod? I attempted recoloring myself and some of them were fairly easy to get close to your colors, but others were impossible for me.

Subscribing to modifications like this doesn't make me unable to get achievments right?
Noicest Dungeon 17 Nov, 2021 @ 7:55am
@Shadow For one reason or another, in the current version any modded blink versions of the cards aren't read (they go into their own folder, called anim, that the game just ignores in mods)
Shadow 4 Nov, 2021 @ 4:07am
On the blink issue, my guess is there's two images for every character card, a normal one and one with their eyes closed (blinking). Wouldn't it just be a matter of modding the blink variant as well, to match the normal card?

@Noicest Dungeon I found a solution on CS discord server. I needed to install Bepinex and the greatwork mod. Now everything works fine, thank you for your assistance

@Noicest Dungeon I'm on a Linux device, so I suppose this is the same issue MacOS users face. After opening the dev console it says that your mod (and other mods) does not have a proper image/ folder. Do you happen to know any workarounds? My guess would be that it is caused by Unity compiling the images to assets which can be loaded only on Windows.
Noicest Dungeon 20 Aug, 2021 @ 2:06pm
@Cubey are you on mac? It's a known issue on mac devices
Cubey 19 Aug, 2021 @ 10:24am
For some reason images on all followers are replaced with a "question mark" (texture not found) texture. I have a similar problem with the "Forecast" mod. All mod files seem to be in place, and even though I'm not experienced with modding the .json files seem fine at first glance. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Great idea, though do note that when the characters "blink" it flashes to the old color code. A bit uncanny.

When playing I am struck by how the Patrons colors don't match the requests they give out (Dr Ibn al-Adin usually giving out lantern being purple, Poppy with knock comissions yellow) was this intentional or is there some train of thought I'm not following?

It looks so good:steamthumbsup:

@Muscular.Alien i see :( thanks for your reply ^^
Muscular.Alien  [author] 13 Aug, 2021 @ 2:41pm
@snoozy unfortunately this an issue with the base game code that, for now, is not able to be fixed due to some issues with mod compatibility :(
Samu 13 Aug, 2021 @ 12:26pm
i really appreciate this mod, as the original color inconsistencies have always been bothering me.
i noticed an issue however: when the followers occasionally blink, they revert to their original image for a split second. this 'flashing' is very distracting and annoying to me, and i do hope it can be fixed. :)
otherwise great work, keep it up! :csstudy:
