I love a good power fantasy, but I can't do everything from within my starting system or the closest few neighbors. Survey speeds are so slow, even with: research_all_technologies 100 (or 800 lol)
Also with super modded games the 95% ends up being useless after 45 years... Making different options for higher amount could give the Real Space - Ships in scaling hard result/feeling that maybe a lot of people like me are looking for.
Actually I tried this morning a different mod call No Space Race 3 and it reduces a lot the speed on the early expansion stage. I have played 30 Years and I only surveyed like 5%-10% of the galaxy.
With your mod I think it adds up so the experience right now is amazing!! I have a lot of traditions to go through and get the bonuses that makes so much sense in the early stages like the anomaly discover chance & many others.
Although it may not last... I am already researching the techs for T1 vanila hyperspeed.
Ideally... Having a mod that will reduce the ship speed all together will make my stellaris experience perfect. Specially for a Stargate series fan it makes much more sense to use the "Jumps" and makes them a big part of the strategic experience. Not even counting having to think about empire fleet distribution as it could take years to move from one side to the other.
Anyway... too much talk sorry...
Main issue with modifiers such as those is -100% isn't half the speed, but literally reduces progress to 0 a day, so any additional buff with the -95% modifier will increase the survey speed significantly, however it shouldn't be that fast.
Even with the espionage changes it still feels off that you can discover most of the galaxy within 50 years
I have the -95% survey speed but it doesn´t seem to be working properly. Only from 1 civic I get a 20% boost.
Anyway: everyday my science ship surveys >2% of any celestial body which means it only takes 43 ish days to complete the survey. Can you help me with this?
Amazing idea btw. The way I play is to have a much bigger exploration phase after the Ships in scaling hard fiasco.
There is no mods that properly reduce the speed of the ships so the only next idea was this.
