@Michiko/Elgate/Nora: really fun ideas! My skill lvl is only editing xml values so far (for something that is really so easy to learn), so I always feel guilty making suggestions I can't personally deliver, but: a companion mini-mod to restrict/move the vanilla research table to medieval tech level. Or include that restriction into this mod (but this one is intended to be so simple on its own, so I'm not 100% on that idea). That would create an actual role for this research spot to back up the RP.

I agree with Elgate. The concept of learning through storytelling and recreation sounds like a wonderful addition.

Either way, thanks for the mod. It always bothered me how pawns can't discover new ideas without staring at a semi advanced table for hours

@Michiko it might actually be a nice idea for it to act as a recreation. Have the spot act as recreation, place them around a campfire and your pawns can socialize while researching. This might also be a good idea to use with random research, having your pawns slowly discover new stuff in their free time.

One cool way to use this is to have a roleplay thing where you have multiple spots close to or around like a campfire, a group desk, or something, then assign multiple colonists to research, so it looks like they're brainstorming heheh.

It'll be especially great if we can get Barely Restricted Spots to support this so you can even put multiple spots on top of a normal table, or even on top of the normal research table so it looks like multiple people researching together lol.

I'll go suggest it there now.
