Country is called Ireland in the constitution, just to clear up some of the comments here. And the military is not reserve its full-time, I'm in it.

@Brecor whn ppl say the republic of ireland they mean the 26 countys that michael collins won over the brits, If we won all there would of been 32 countys so thts why whn u hear Republic Of Ireland = 26 Countys which are dwn the south.

@Sioda Ireland does have armed police "ARU" Armed Response Unit. And te bus pass ppl on the disability benefit get it along with So many free electricity units, Fuel Allowance. A woefully researched mod... none of the policies in place are even remotely similar to the day to day functioning of the Irish nation, the country is far more progressive than this mod portrays, the most glaring issue with the mod is the overly religious policies in place and the tech backwater issue caused by it... the real Irish economy by contrast is a fairly nimble and well educated workforce... guns are virtually banned here, there is no ban on sunday shopping, the police force is unarmed, the army is largely small mostly involved with external UN peace keeping missions... the sciences and education as a whole is well funded by various state projects.

Actually @CarlCarlson, you need to have a read of the constitution because @Brecor is completely correct in saying the name of the state is 'Éire' or 'Ireland' not the Republic of Ireland

I just finished a playthrough where I took Canada and turned it into a socialist hippie utopia. It was great. Where's the fun in playing Canada exactly as it is today?

Guys, the entire point of Democracy 3 is to take a country and experiment with it. To just make an Ireland Simulator (or whatever country simulator) would be boring. All the people saying "do your research" are missing the point.

No doubt, Ireland use to ban sunday shopping like England and much of Europe. Perhaps this is the Ire of the 1950s. In fact, there are still shop time regulations in much of Europe. In England, most retail must close by 1800, if not earlier.

Not Great, Alot of Issues that alittle research could have fixed.

I am aware that a bunch of people have already brought this to your attention but when i tried the mod for the first time the game crashed on me. Everythiing else works, just whne i try to play this mod.
Please fix. I bought this game because i'm an economic and politics major and this mod would make it waaaaaaaaaaay better since i'm Irish myself

I tried to run the game without the expansion packs and it still didn't work maybe the problem is there is no term length set for the mod you made.If I were you Dazzroz I would go into the mod folder and check how long you put the term length.

Damn, well I guess you have to wait until I can afford the expansion packs, I cannot afford them right now and It may be a week or two.

I really don't know what else to say.The mod show up in the mod control panel but when I click play the game crashes.
