I've done a more accurate version with much smaller module count, check here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=260307108

I knew I should have made a version with fewer modules

Can you spank LumberingTroll, having a 5 minute load time on occasion when I start my game up is very anoying.
Demthios 12 May, 2014 @ 6:13am
Alright guys I think LumberTroll fell in love with this ship and pushed it out in the last patch as one of the "Default" ships. If you see this ship in your game and it's causing performance issues then you can manually go delete it from the Saved Files folder and the faction folder as well.

Haha i wonder if one of the devs was checking it out and accidentaly saved it. Honestly thats pretty awesome rofl.

okay ya something is definitely up. this ship is automatically loaded into my game too. Yes i know it's my ship so it's supposed to do that but I mean this version is the one that shows up. I made a few changes to it after this initial design, but the old one seen here loads up in the game.

Wow what the heck is going on? Now i'm really starting to wonder if a developer accidentally added my ship to the base save file somehow
FFGScarecrow 11 May, 2014 @ 8:45pm
Ok so I actualy solved my own problem. After trying a few things to no avail I happened to find that this ship was actualy saved into my D12 game file. I dont know how it got in there, but after deleting the saved blueprint (I actualy had to go back and save a new blueprint as well) and relaunching my game I have yet to see one in my actual save file. Hope this helps anyone else who happens to have this problem, although honestly i might just subscribe to this whole series since they are much cooler than the base ships anyway lol.

Huh I actualy just had the same thing happen to me as aether tech. For some reason this ship just randomly apeared in my game. The Federated Union has them everywhere now. While the ship IS really cool, it is really anoying that there are now battlecruisers flying everywhere. I was hoping someone might have found a solution to this as, like aether tech, I am not subscribed to this and so cannot unsubscribe XP.
Ichi the Blind  [author] 11 May, 2014 @ 10:07am
Because the devs added it to the game, since it's so amazing ;D

seriously though, that's really weird
aether.tech 11 May, 2014 @ 9:29am
And it did it again....(i'm not even subscribed!)
aether.tech 10 May, 2014 @ 11:12pm
I don't know how it happened, but I think the game is trying to tell me something. But somehow, this appeared in my game...just pop. Started KV, went into my galaxy...and this thing loaded right in just, BAM. In all its glory.

Ya with the old system, to make ships with interesting curves I had to have a base with alot of angled blocks to build off and keep adding to until I got the desired shape. The new manipulation system makes that much easier.
You guys are doing an awesome job btw, love this game!
LumberingTroll  [developer] 10 May, 2014 @ 2:50pm
It is indeed a lot different, but I think you will find that the fine manipulation gizmos for Translate and Rotation are very nice, after you initially place a module use 1 and 2 to swap between them, also the symmetrical placement system is really nice. Some advice on your larger ships, try to use less part, you can do this by making the ship "hollow". This will reduce their overall module count and allow more people to use them.

Thanks, I loved that game too. I really hope Gearbox does something with the rights.

I tried the new shipyard. The UI is so much more sleek and intuitive. The actual building part is alot different though. Going to take some getting used to.

Also, I LOVE homeworld!

This is an amazing display of our shipyard, I hope you give the new one a try, you will be able to do a lot more!
