Otherwise I like this mod a lot, I just don't really dig being able to get absurd drops way earlier than I should just because I wanted to play with some fun enemy modifiers
I'd love to see a simple blacklist for which enemies can't get prefixes and maybe an option to toggle boss prefixes on or off! also, Eater of Worlds still gets prefixes and since each of his segments counts as an enemy it can get a little ridiculous, but it does make the boss a lot more interesting.
Don't listen to the rude people complaining about the mod they just installed themselves if you can, this mod is pretty awesome, though it has a few issues.
- Option to toggle bosses getting modifiers (Set to disabled by default)
- Making projectiles do less damage in pre-hardmode
- Blacklisting modifiers and enemies
- Nerfing some of the weapons that are rewarded in this mod (So it's balanced)
- Locking certain modifiers behind progression
I'm not expecting you to make these changes overnight, take as long as you need!
If so, it's ridiculous to expect someone to survive pre-hardmode and also kill them before you die
I still like this mod A LOT, but I definitely think it deserves more love and some fixing, and tinkering.
Having a lot of issue with some of the modifiers and what npc can have them.
modifiers:
* Bets's fireball attack does 600 damage and fires off way too fast. either heavily nerf this or just add a configurable blacklist for modifiers.
* The modifier that makes your character float, before throwing them (all ways to the right) is incredibly annoying. It's really difficult to track down what NPC is causing it, and they can be far off screen and still do it. The effect is fine, just maybe make it happen on contact damage only?
* One of the modifiers causes the NPC to become ethereal and chase down the player, dealing massive damage, I think its based on the Goblin Summoner AI. This one just seems a bit OP.
NPCs:
All critters, Town NPCs and boss segments (EOW) can have your modifiers. Yesterday my dryad was casing me to be thrown away from my house every second while trying to craft something. What am I to do, dump lava on her? I just think this mod would be a lot better if fireflys and town NPC could't have modifiers. It just makes the experience tedious.
Weapons:
Not all of them, but a lot of them still seem OP, The anchor magic book considering how early you can get it can easily kill WOF on expert, the shards magic book also has too high damage, but this one needs a buff on the gravity of the projectiles, they fall too quickly I think.
It's a fun mod, and thanks for making it. But a few more options in the config, and balancing needs to be done to reduce frustration, thanks.
And npc's can spawn with a hostile modifier, which is not logical.
However, otherwise mod is excellent and long-awaited, I hope author will improve settings (add option to disable new loot)
