Tool usage is disabled while swimming. It present some weird animations and actions. I know because I had to do the same thing with Wirra, but I made it so you can toggle the ability On/Off.
how'd you set up this swimming, want to make a aquatic based character.
(also not a fish but a whale)
It seems like at starting the game (solo) the gills are alreay opened so I hop into the water accidentally every time. I'd appreciate very much if this could be fixed, since it can be very fatal in winter. Other than that, I think it's quite balanced with the freezing. Thank you for sharing your work!
This means that wurt will begin to rapidly loose temperature and possibly freeze to death, especially if the server host sets it to always on.
if wetness were to gradually (if quickly) rise then i could see this being useful in certain situations such as crossing small gaps or grabbing items that are close enough to land that using a boat would be a waste of resources, as there would not be the need to have a fire nearby to dry off the second she came out of the water.
as someone who plays wurt regularly I ask you to please not enable this on your server, for it is more of a nuisance than a boost at the moment
I send this not with hate to the creator (and the original coder), just as a message from someone who has knowledge of this character.

also this does work with the craft block mod, but platforms that are right above the water will not prevent wurt from trying to jump into the water.
i had my suggestion of adding a toggle or keypress that allows her to enter/leave the ocean
my other idea would be that you have to mouse click on the water or land in order to enter/leave the ocean
i don't know which would be simpler to code, but i hope to see it in a future update
