I'd really love to use the rails.
I've been struggling with the extreme lag that this mod introduces when you add 20+ monorail engines, and I have reworked some of the code to run in worker threads and reduce the number of runs per tick. I'd love to share this with you for you to integrate into the main code line.
There's also a couple of bugs, possibly introduced by game updates in the way that the code work when storing properties about maglev engines, and for me this is game breaking as you have to reset force levels when copying & pasting / welding from blueprints / reloading the game etc. I've hacked a solution into the code, but I'm considering rewriting the seriliaisation code as it could use a bit of work.
Happy to give you what I've done, please let me know if you're interested in merging this into the main branch :).
For everyone else asking if this mod still works - YES IT DOES
I changed the the junction to "Left" but the trains still going forward. I'm trying to change engines direction aswell but... no way.
Did I missed smth?
Thanks!
can you help me ?
* Build two rails with a one block gap
* Build train above it
* Put MagLev engine blocks at the bottom of the train in-line with the rails (Four needed to keep it stable)
* Make sure train has power available. About 1-100kW are required per engine.
* Cautiously drop the train to the track (Good idea to start with block destruction turned off)
* Slowly raise force until stable. Around 1-10M is recommended.
As it says in the bottom.

Theoretically i can use them if i build 3rd rail in center but blocks placed sideways and 5th engine will try to catch the center rail wile i turn it off and on
Maglev Engine works if you power them and are above or near the rail.
They stop working if they are too far from rail or ship is too heavy/ not able to hodl them at rail space.
Slope rails this mod has are great for angle lifts like this:

Here is one example using this mod.
Most problems are that collision mesh is same size as block space = Clang
For no problem Keen shrink the collision mesh on their blocks like 5x5x5 is now 4.9x4.9x4.9

GIF is older date but relevant to the issue as new engine look smaller but collision mesh is actually bigger towards block X Y space sparking and hitting walls.
This issue may be even with 3x1 engine.
I once had personal mod edit (not work anymore) that i replace M-engine mesh with MotorAdvancedStatorConstruction_2.mwm.
The mesh look like M-engine and is 3x3x1

@Rusted Droid This is not something I've tried to be honest but will have a look see if we can tweak anything.
@Xerx3s As FeepingCreature said the trains follow the curves for me as well. Do you have any errors on load? (Press F11 for logs). Failing that if you can publish the world it might help to narrow it down.
@IVEN Sorry not sure what your asking for. You can have a 1 block gap between rails and the train will transition over just fine.
