update it and I'll give you a hug (no rush tho)
Sithgrim 5 May, 2024 @ 8:26pm
No rush or anything just wanted to voice my interest in a 1.5 update as well.
TrollofReason 29 Apr, 2024 @ 12:09pm
Toughness cycle & Beauty cycles aren't working. If you're looking to update the mod, those are the ones that seem to be bugged by the 1.5 update. People go in, & they never come out with a negative timer counting into infinity.
Сельсовет 23 Apr, 2024 @ 9:41am
update the mod for 1.5 pls
dysaster 19 Apr, 2024 @ 6:44am
1.5 please
漆黑之梦 16 Apr, 2024 @ 8:13pm
Are there any plans for updates to 1.5?
Is it usable now in 1.5?
DarkTemplarlord 14 Apr, 2024 @ 11:42pm
will this be updated to 1.5?
Lurmey 20 Dec, 2023 @ 11:13am
@AJester11; I don't think there's one that removes it altogether but there is one that adds a cycle to reset it much quicker. It's called Flush Biosculpter Tuning.
Lordlynel 12 Dec, 2023 @ 6:29pm
It would be cool if this mod had an option to make it so that all imperial cataphracts and many of their lower ranking soldiers are tough in addition to other traits, and most imperial nobles are beautiful. It doesn't make sense that the elite imperial soldiers wouldn't have these relatively easy enhancements made (a similar argument could be made for transhumanist outlanders, but that is more debateable).
AJester11 11 Nov, 2023 @ 7:39pm
Is there a mod that can let any pawn use the pod instead of bio-coding to a single?
Sarah the destroya 9 Oct, 2023 @ 5:22pm
Does it bother you that the thumbnail reads "biosclupting+" instead of "biosculpting+"?
Dr Jimothy 29 Sep, 2023 @ 3:34am
Is there a version of this or something like that where you have to complete certain technology to unlock the upgrade cycles? It currently feels far too easy to make a colony of badasses who don't hate each other.
Calencre 28 Apr, 2023 @ 7:27am
There's a typo in the text after the cycle completes: its would be proper, rather than it's, and better yet, use their as the proper 3rd person gender neutral form for a human.
davidguy207 14 Nov, 2022 @ 4:03am
Can this be added mid-save?
Jalordon 2 Nov, 2022 @ 4:00pm
Biotech added a trait with defname "Delicate" that gives a 1.15x damage taken multiplier to pawns with this trait. Both Tough and Delicate have exclusion tag Toughness which suggests they shouldn't be present at the same time.

I tried doing a toughness cycle from this mod on a pawn with the delicate trait and it results in the pawn having both tough and delicate traits simultaneously - should it be changed to remove delicate?
Dorsai! 2 Nov, 2022 @ 10:25am
As an alternative, since that functionality clearly would conflict with the growth vat, you could allow aging cycles only for fully grown pawns.
Waether  [author] 2 Nov, 2022 @ 9:32am
Babies need to go through a growth cycle to enable work and gain passions/traits. The aging cycle increases age and does nothing else.
You can use a growth vat to to speed up the growth of babies.
I'll see if I can trigger the growth event after an aging cycle when I have some time to mod.
ThatsATau 2 Nov, 2022 @ 7:57am
Why doesnt aging up enable stuff? for some reason, whenever i age up, all the babies cant do any work aside from social.

Updated for 1.4
VelxraTV 21 Oct, 2022 @ 3:27pm
Looking forward to the steam update to 1.4
Waether  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 1:45pm
1.4 update available on GitHub : BioSculptingPlus-v2.3.1 [github.com]
I don't have the time to test it right now, I'll update Steam when I'm done checking everything is fine
Waether  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 12:51pm
I'll update it on Saturday or Sunday, depends on how much free time I have.
Scorpio 21 Oct, 2022 @ 11:43am
1.4?
Iarinu 23 Sep, 2022 @ 10:00am
Hey cool, that works fine. Anyhow it would be cool if this could be a separate biosulpting job like "Do custom age reversal" which then could be configured via Faster Biosculpting.
Background to this is, that I currently set the regular job to x10 (without making it faster) to rejuvenate some old paws but my younger ones obviously can't get the same treatment, since it takes an entire quadrum and someone needs to keep the colony running after all.
Waether  [author] 3 Sep, 2022 @ 6:27pm
You can configure age reversal duration and number of year reversed in the mod config for Faster Biosculpter Pod.
Iarinu 2 Sep, 2022 @ 9:34am
Would it be possible to add a batch-agereversal cycle? Like reverse 10 years for 10x the sculpting time? Would make mass rejuvenation much easier and less micro-manage heavy
Waether  [author] 15 Aug, 2022 @ 11:29pm
@Jarin
That message is used when a pawn already has the trait you are trying to add. If the pawn is not already tough are you perhaps using a mod modifying traits ? Might be a conflict.
Katieclysm 14 Aug, 2022 @ 8:54pm
I keep getting "X looks the same as before, did something go wrong?" on the Tough cycle.
Fokson 30 May, 2022 @ 12:54pm
Could you add a cycle for changing a pawn's body type, for example from thin to hulking etc?
상자 7 May, 2022 @ 7:58am
Cool
Thundercraft 5 Apr, 2022 @ 1:20pm
@Gold Battle Moose
Well, there is the Barber Pod (Continued) mod. That should definitely do what you want, and then some. Unfortunately, Mlie is a very, very busy modder and hasn't gotten around to updating that one to 1.3 yet.

Well, there's also Surgical Body Shaping (SBS) as well as Plasteel Surgery . However, those mods just aren't the same. And those are surgeries instead of being anything like a BioSculpting Pod.
Gold Battle Moose 5 Apr, 2022 @ 7:36am
Would like to see actual body sculpting, so like changing body type would be neat just saying, awesome mod.
gwendoodle<3 17 Mar, 2022 @ 3:34pm
Do you have any plan to expand upon this mod's ability to modify traits? I personally would love to see some way to tweak my colonist's psychic sensitivity.
Iron Xides 10 Mar, 2022 @ 8:54pm
images misspell sculpting
Waether  [author] 9 Mar, 2022 @ 10:40am
Sorry for that, should be fixed

@Waether You uploaded the mod with your development packageId. Game thinks it's a different mod.

for some reason biosculptingplus mod is gone and now i have BioSculptingPlus_Dev on my inactive list ...
Waether  [author] 9 Mar, 2022 @ 7:39am
I've just updated the mod and ran some basic tests, it should work fine with Trait Rarity Colors.
BioSculptingPlus v2.2.0 [github.com]

@Carny Senpai Thanks for the info, that sped up the update process. I'm not really familiar with Rimworld codebase.

@Sir Buggles "biological optimization", I'm stealing that name.
Working with hediffs was the plan, but the traits were just way easier to implement.

@lbens12 If you put a wimp through a ToughCycle it will become a tough wimp.
Carny Senpai 28 Feb, 2022 @ 5:10am
@Waether Hi, i am the author of Trait Rarity Colors and i looked into your code and found the bug. Bioscultping+ is using the trait label to find the traits for cycles, which are hard coded. You should use defname and degree or degreedata to find the traits instead. Labels can change like my mod does to color things or even different languages can change labels. If i was to use Bioscultping+ and play in another language than english, the mod would most likely also break.
Demognomicon 25 Feb, 2022 @ 3:55pm
Trait Rarity Colors definitely prevents ugly from being changed. AFAIK it does not add traits, just colors them according to rarity.
Sir Buggles 19 Feb, 2022 @ 11:13pm
To expand on the bionic/archotech suggestion that was made, for things to make more sense flavor/lore-wise, it could be called like "biological optimization", and depending on which one, it provides its own hediff that gives a +25%/+50% boost to all the stats under the health tab.

this way,you could even use it on body purists, since technically they weren't given any artificial parts.
lbens12 13 Feb, 2022 @ 10:35am
how does the toughness cycle interact with a wimp pawn, does it remove wimp, remove wimp and add tough, or is it not compatible?
Scorpio 28 Dec, 2021 @ 10:00am
a make bionic pawn cycle and archotech one ( for balance this would need to be super expensive and time consuming)
Broms 27 Nov, 2021 @ 10:14am
Feature Request: Add Nimble trait cycle.
Waether  [author] 27 Nov, 2021 @ 7:48am
I'll see how Trait Rarity Colors add colors to traits, but from what you are telling me I think they add new traits. I'll take a look at it when I have some time.
Adi Tetac 26 Nov, 2021 @ 12:33pm
Trait Rarity Colors has a partial incompatibility, it changes the traits with its formatting. The pod will not remove traits, but will add them. For example the beauty cycle will add pretty, but if run again it will just add pretty again.
