the pivot point is the map marker basically, it is the geometrical center of a build that the game "sees" (for things like "place ship at position xyz the pivot is used). the thrust+mass center is different and to my knowledge these still gets calculated correctly even if the pivot point is wrong.
for ships a wrong pivot point can sometimes make the ship "twitch/hop", when the game recalculates and sets things according to their pivot point, meaning things with a wrong pivot get moved (usally clip or jump). on POI's a wrong pivot messes up terrain usally (this one is usally more obvious on spawn).

you can fix it by simply runing a console command after you have finished your build.
console command: prefabinfo name_of_build_without_space -clearpivot
(name can use underscores)

Sulusdacor, thanks for the feedback. This was definitely a different build for me, it's by far the largest thing I've made for the game. It was a learning experience. Not sure what you're referring to regarding the pivot being off. Do you mean the center of mass doesn't align with the center of thrust?

quite enjoy the slight asymmetric character this one has inside below, which is not as obvious on first glance looking from the top. with the more color on the outside i way expecting this to be a bit more colorfull inside too. for some reason it looks in style somewhat different from the rest of your build just looking at the top deck (meaning more blue+white, less gray).
PS: the pivot is a bit off it seems.

@Dadrick I had no issue loading HVs from the rear hangar door. So I modified her by removing the large static ramp and installing two hangar doors on the top deck. You may find the blue print here Reliant top [www.dropbox.com] Not finished yet, just testing. Let me know what you think.

Myrmidon, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. The ramp in the flight deck is so that HVs can be loaded easily into another ship while in space.

I may be late to the comments, but I would love to thank you for creating and sharing this CV. I use her mainly with PE and RG RE scenarios. I like the fact that Helios modules can comfortably dock on the designated positions. She is perfect for one player game-play and can accommodate my small fleet of SVs and HVs plus the modules mainly used for cargo. The big hangar opening ramp feels strange though, since she has more than six openings to dock vessels on starboard and port sides. I prefer vertical openings, but this one is well designed so I keep it intact for now. My humble :steamthumbsup:

Love this carrier , been looking for something suitable for a moble base and a carrier for my cv's with a little lucky was able to dock 2 mid size cvs on top

This is so cool. I was just trying to build a carrier that could have 3 Helios modules and that was large enough that I could land the Endurance on it. And you already made exactly that :steamhappy:

anychance you can make an XL version that holds 3 XL moduals? i tend to use them more then reg moduals.. however im having ahard time making a ship to carrie them thats not as massive as the XL helios

Krazywulf1983 There are a bunch of LCD projectors on the flight deck above each bay. They are hooked up to a motion sensor on the side of the bay itself.

Jivaii, the Helios bays are located beneath the main flight deck. There are 2 bays on the left side of the ship and one on the front.
