Configurable Deconstruct Percentage seems to do the same/similar thing if anyone is looking for a 1.5 mod for this purpose btw
Dinner_Daddy 6 May, 2024 @ 3:08pm

@tony422 Any issues related to mod compatibility, and this mod, please seek the mod creators of said mods with issues. This mod will never create compatibility layers for other mods

It seems to cause desync when used with multiplayer mod at least for 1.5. Only happens sometimes but once it does multiplayer can't sync again until this mod is removed. FYI anyone encountering this

I checked this mod, and found it’s very lightweight. So this mod should work.

After using it for a while,I think it should probably be renamed to ‘100 Percent’, as it seems that the limitation no longer exists.

Will there be a 1.5 update?

both vanilla expanded and tweaks galore have a thing to give 100% deconstruct return, why cant you do it with this mod?
Dave-EEs  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 6:55am
@Raelys, as stated this is a sweep patch mod for all objects that can be deconstructed, this including ship chunks, and since this patch basically doubles what you get back as base rimworld normally halves what you get back when you deconstruct, it makes sense that the yield is much higher for ship chunks, it is just following similar logic
Raelys 18 Jan, 2024 @ 8:20pm
This mod appears to double the deconstruct yield of ship chunks which feels a bit cheaty. With the mod enabled, I receive 40 steel and 11 components. With the mod disabled, I receive 20 steel and 5 components.

Not the same as when you deconstruct a building, its considered a different clause, therefore not included in the calculation for 99% return
Unleashed 7 Nov, 2022 @ 2:08pm
Deconstructing mechs don't return 99%

@Dr. Hentai That is correct, because of how this mod calculates its return value, if there is 1 or less materials that were used to produce the machine, building, etc., then it will return nothing. This is not new to base game Rimworld either, as base game also returns nothing on buildings that are worth 1 material or less.
Dr. Hentai 11 Jan, 2022 @ 7:20am
it seems that even with this mod, deconstructing power conduits refunds nothing.
Dave-EEs  [author] 13 Nov, 2021 @ 3:59pm
@SM226 That issue has actually been fixed, and when deconstructing, you should get back 100% of the items you put into the structure back. Reason the title and description of the mod is still the same, is due to not being the original author. I might add, or change the description to better clarify this, but for the time being, it does give back 100% percent of the materials
YAKUBIAN SUPERSOLDIER 13 Nov, 2021 @ 3:46pm
if it predictably gives you back 1 less of each item when you deconstruct something, couldn't you just make it so that it gives 1 more of each item alongside the 99%?

@Dave-EEs I see I see. Thank you!

@Hurgablurg from what I've read about the other mod, it appears this is a bit more simple and straightforward, aimed more towards just giving back what you put into constructing something. While the mod you mentioned allows for the player to configure how the objects act when you deconstruct them, varying depending on what setting you choose. In terms of what mod to use, it's entirely up to the player, as both do have the same functionality. Though 99 percent is a patch with no real player control or configure, while Bricks Don't Vanish allows for player modification

What is the difference between this mod and Bricks Dont Vanish?
