For reasons I'm not sure about, this mod broke my UI in the Red Death scenario. But you can't promise things anyways in that mode, so it's easy to disable and then re-enable.

That vanilla "bug" has annoyed me for years. So many times I've been on rescue missions inside or near allied, to prevent their cities to fall into the hands of enemy civs, to just get "booted" out of their territories, because the alliance/open boarder just ended.
To me, it's clearly a design flaw from Firaxis.

Does this fix the problem of alliances expiring and triggering a "move your troops" demand? I've often thought a good fix for that would be a prompt one or two turns before an open borders treaty or alliance expired, allowing the agreement to be extended without lapsing.

There is at least one typo where 'Promise' is spelt 'Promse', and the capitlization is weird. It works its just been bugging me.

@JoyfulUniter there's one that's been available since 1785 AD aka Turn 267 on Standard Speed. It's called the Groundwork of the Metaphysic of Morals by the peoples of Vicky and Teddy. It was written by a Great Writer called Immanuel Kant. If you load its contents to your brains, you're going to be OP. +20 faith +20 culture and +90 science. BUT it does come with significant drawbacks. It reduces tourism by 10% because only boomers are interested in you talking about "categorical imperatives". Also the style of writing is just one level higher than binary. So that means there's 50% chance that disaster intensity is going to increase to 4 for 20 turns. Good luck.

Had a bug where this mod caused me to not have any interface when meeting new civs. I have a bunch of other mods, but disabling this one was enough for some reason. I hope I could find the exact reason honestly, I really wanted to include it...

@XVeris, try adding the Diplomacy Compatibility Patch (by the author of CUI-R) and see if that fixes it.

If that doesn't work, follow the instructions in the 'How to report bugs\problems' discussion thread, and I'll see if it's fixable at some point.

If you start a new game with just GoldenAge\GoldenAgeBNW and What Did I Promise, does it work? Yes or no?

If you start a new game with just CQUI and What Did I Promise, does it work? Yes or No?

Both of those setups work fine for me with Gathering Storm.

If either doesn't work for you, tell me what exactly doesn't work, and post your log files, and I'll try and have a look. Otherwise I can't help you.

I put the mod to be compatible with the CQUI and the one in the Golden Age, With the update patch GoldenAge BNW,
Use Gathering Storm, the latest additions with all leaders

Golden Age and CQUI don't seem to be compatible with each other, if you're trying to use both at the same time that's probably the problem.

This does seem to be compatible with Golden Age on it's own though, and it is definitely compatible with CQUI.

What version of the game are you using? Vanilla? Rise & Fall? Gathering Storm?
Where have you posted your log files?

This mod disables/overwrites Extended Diplomacy Ribbon Mod. I'm playing on vanilla without any mods. (with CQUI)

Where is it showing as a promise to yourself? On the DiploRibbon? On the Briefing Panel when you have a spy selected? Both?

Great mod, only probelm is that when I ask the AI not to spy on me, the mod says I promised not to spy on myself. which isn't a big deal, but maybe something to look into.

For some reason, it is disabling the UI for other leaders. In order for me to talk to another leader, I have to click my own leader's portrait, and cycle through the list.
