Shame this mod ended up being on hiatus due to the guy's hardware saying no, it had a lot of potential, man, if I knew modding and actually do it properly I'd love to pick up the project and make it what the guy wanted it to be

@ Rim Baby try out the mod "ReGrowth: Expanded World Generation (Continued)". It has sliders to adjust the frequency of different biomes. I just tried it and made a world that was 90% these biomes.

@Bronk Hotblast you can disable this in the mod settings. this will only be applied to newly created gamefiles though

Great mod. I've been running a colony on one of the urban tiles. Is it intentional that the asphalt and pavement tiles can't support heavy structures? While I like the idea, you can't even remove the tiles (since there's no floor underneath) or disable the feature without dev mode.

can you set up a colony in a city by selecting it as your landing tile or do you have to move to one? i would love to have a colony live in the remains of a city. i imagine something like the start from mechanoids expanded would have some conflicts generating among the buildings

I like this mod but the "Nearby Shelling" event occurs far too frequent by default and is a bit too destructive for my tastes. I appreciate the mod setting that allows me to turn it off or adjust it's frequency but it really should be reduced by default in my opinion.

This is great! I love the cars littered throughout and the broken street lights. Really adds to the atmosphere. Thanks for putting this together! For those of you who don't like the shelling: I found the event under Storyteller defs in the Mod files. I changed the name of the file (adding an extra word), turning it off effectively, so I could change it back later (to turn the shelling back on if I wanted). Otherwise you can just remove the file to prevent the shelling event.

@Wej, since Royalty is a requirement, the obvious answer is no. If you want to use a city mod then use the Rim Citadel mod.

@SuRge Nearby you should be able to disable Nearby Shelling through the Scenario Editor. But i agree, it really needs some finetuning.

Getting my base outside of the city getting randomly shelled is hell, man. I just lost two colonists and a chunk of my base wall got blown up...
It's a great mod but it would be nice to have a mod option to have random shelling disabled outside of cities (or in general.)

Would it be possible to play without Royalty? I understand the importance of set pieces brought by Ideology but I don't want to shell $20 for a DLC I know I won't like.

I think it's likely that those setpieces would simply not spawn things in them (empty streets instead of streets with cars on them for example). But there is a chance it would cause errors that actually prevent it from loading. No way to find out but to give it a shot.
