Hello! There could be a way to make to learn the clothes at level 8 and craft them too? To cap it on a high level, and tone it up a little the requirements of rags, like a sandbox options or something? This mod is so good but it got lost in time.. hope it can regain the popularity it deserves
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 3 Mar @ 5:51am
@Mr. Finch sorry, I did not include a method for that and also not actually sure if starting without the mod would essentially remove the known ones;;
Absolem 2 Mar @ 4:15pm
Is there a way to unlearn recipes? Might have to reinstall because I get this huge hiccup anytime I'm ripping cloth now when the UI loads what recipes cloth scraps are used for haha.
SDgamer 5 Jan @ 7:28pm
i doubt the modder will come back so hopefully someone else updates this mod for B42 (certain people have been doing that)
KarpJoe 22 Dec, 2024 @ 6:56pm
On second thought, gunplay in B42 is really trash and I don't think I'll keep playing it. Take your time.
KarpJoe 22 Dec, 2024 @ 8:20am
Shuru. Please come back. I need this so badly for B42.
Idk a good user 8 Dec, 2024 @ 10:07am
im curious is there a way to block certain clothing from being added to the learn list
Fires In Spurts 22 Sep, 2024 @ 8:51am
i have a few clothing mods (britas, more jackets, paw low loot), and whenever i hover over learn clothing design, it shows every single recipe possible and freezes the game for a few seconds, is there a way to fix this?
SDgamer 23 Jul, 2024 @ 12:54pm
ok, to people who want this mod to work, don't use zRe Armor Repair as that is conflicting with this mod (most likely because Armor Repair changes the material gained from body armor to Kevlar Strips)
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 12:36pm
@SDgamer good luck on it :cozybethesda:
Feel free to let me know if you figure something out!
SDgamer 23 Jul, 2024 @ 12:19pm
@Yuhiko

i'm going to have to see what mod is doing that then because i have a lot of mods. I think it might be the zRe Armor Repair mod then because that adds a armor repair system in the crafting menu that let's you fix up body armor which may be causing issues with the clothing side of it. If not then it could be the Tailoring Fix mod
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 11:49am
@SDgamer from the short tests, it seems to work?
Everything from ashe's set that I could rip apart, I could also learn and craft.
Those, that I couldn't rip apart, obviously I couldn't learn either.

Do you get any error messages or similar when attempting to learn them?
It could be that another mod might cause issues there.
SDgamer 23 Jul, 2024 @ 11:18am
@Yuhiko

With Brita i tested it with the Ashe (from overwatch) outfit set while with the Stalker Pack the Rookie Jackets which are just Leather Jackets with a little Bullet Resist
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 11:15am
@SDgamer Yeah, so long as it has correctly setup it's FabricType (to determine what to get when ripping apart) the items should be viable.
Yes, lots of modders dislike reuploads, some mostly because of conflicts (mods with same modID, which afaik should be solved with the (whenever) upcoming update to the game, which'll include workshop id to loading mods.
You're definitely free to reupload this mod as you see fit if you so desire (ideally change modID to avoid conflicts)

Aside of that, slight headsup, this mod's terribly written, meaning pretty unclean and unclear, so apologies for the bad start into PZ modding.

Are there specific items you could name (especially brita's for now) to know which I should check/lookout for when testing a tad later?

Also, if you have any questions about any part of my mod, feel free to let me know (since steam's not that great at sharing code stuff, you can hit me up on Discord if you'd like: "Shurutsue")
SDgamer 23 Jul, 2024 @ 11:01am
@Yuhiko

To my understanding you have it setup to where as long as it has the correct tag it will work but, the Stalker armor/outfit mod and Brita's armor/outfit mod seems to have them setup differently. I have only ever missed with Fallout 4 Edit to create patches and not any mods on Steam. I know some coding but, on Steam Modders at times outright say no re-uploads and and their mods to mod packs which is apart of the reason why i haven't tried it yet
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 10:27am
@SDgamer the ones you can rip apart cannot be learned with this mod?
Do you know if they utilize the vanilla behaviour for it, or a custom one?
Might take a look in around half an hour, thanks for any additional info! :spiffo:
SDgamer 23 Jul, 2024 @ 10:24am
both the Stalker Armor (has a mix of Leather Jackets and Leather Clothes that have Bullet Resistance along with Body Armor) and Brita Armor (while Armor is in the name, it adds clothes to) mods have clothing you can rip up with Scissors. I guess i would have to make my own modified version of this mod in order to get them to work then
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 10:19am
@[DNKL] Master Don't think i did add something that specifically says the level required. Apologies.

@SDGamer You're right that it's highly unlikely for me to update it and that I'm fairly inactive - but regardless, what are the issues with the two mods? Considering the mods in question have "Armor" in the name, I assume that the additions of said mods aren't able to be ripped/cut apart, in which case it is "intentional" to not be craftable with this mod alone.
The idea of this mod is to make everything you can "rip apart" to be craftable.
If, for some reason, it's not working as intended, feel free to reach out again, while I won't promise an update/fix, I may still take a look at it.

As for anyone who may wish to modify this mod for their own needs, or update it:
Everyone's free to modify and reupload this mod as they see fit, albeit, sorry for it being written quite dirty.

Have a nice day everyone :spiffo:
SDgamer 19 Jul, 2024 @ 2:07pm
Sadly this doesn't with with Brita's Armor Pack and the Stalker Armor Pack. Given how the modder isn't active anymore this mod is obviously not getting updated anymore
[DNKL] Master 3 Jun, 2024 @ 2:36pm
Is there anyway to see what level which clothing items become craftable?
KarpJoe 3 Jun, 2024 @ 8:10am
Still running this on my multiplayer and single player worlds. Works fine. If it isn't working then it's because of a mod conflict.
FackMirage 20 Apr, 2024 @ 4:52pm
Same thing, the mod seems to be incompatible with Lifestyle. I dont know why, but when you try to learn any clothing it says TailoringExtended error, and a missing item text. Is there any way to solve this?
RamboTurkey 16 Feb, 2024 @ 7:45pm
it would would be neat if when you learned a new recipe it generated an actual pattern item that way you could store them away to avoid cluttering the right click crafting menu
elmutor 11 Feb, 2024 @ 1:24am
I had the "missing recipe" error, turning off the mod "lifestyle" fixed it.
Allerai 22 Jan, 2024 @ 6:42pm
El mod funciona, pero me gustaría que con clic derecho no aparecieran las recetas disponibles, me es difícil llegar al final de la lista.

Gracias por el mod, me encanta. :spiffo:
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 26 Nov, 2023 @ 1:20am
@Aasha @Truth
Did a quick test run - with just this mod enabled.
It seems to work (under these circumstances)

Currently still not actively playing PZ, however, feel free to hit me up on discord (Shurutsue) with, ideally a short description on where it fails and a log.
Additionally, the info on whether or not the issues arise in single- or multiplayer (or both), I'd be willing to take a look to see what might be the potential problem.
Truth🤍 25 Nov, 2023 @ 1:45pm
missing recipe when trying to learn how to make something
please update. mod is legit
Aasha 6 Apr, 2023 @ 5:36am
will this mod have any uptdate ? It's not working anymore for me...
TechPower$ 25 Jan, 2023 @ 5:36am
Could somebody suggest mod that increase clothe patch benefits? In vanilla 10 level of tailoring give you 10% from patching your clothe (with leather).

I want increase this number from 10% to 30%
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 13 Dec, 2022 @ 11:41pm
Ah, just to clarify, the "variation" i spoke of was in regards to games overall, not updates to pz. (After re-reading it, it seems easy to misunderstand that part.)
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 13 Dec, 2022 @ 11:39pm
@Shadow most likely not for quite a while. With my activity mainly on other games atm, i doubt I'd get back into PZ any time soon. (Still a good game, the air's just out for the time being, having played it for quite some time straight through with little to no variation)
Shadow 13 Dec, 2022 @ 10:16pm
are you still going to work on this mod in the future?
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 28 Nov, 2022 @ 8:59am
@MrWalnut yes, by not having the item be repairable either. (The mod automatically creates recipes for all repairable clothing items) - though this mod could be expanded to have some form of blacklist for certain items (currently not playing PZ though, so I'll refrain from expanding this mod for now, anyone else is free to do that however if they so wish!)

@David Hogins, at the time i made the mod, i felt it was alright balance wise, considering the increased "protection" of these. The mod's relatively small, so if you want to tweak the balance of it to your liking, feel free to do so! (And anyone else, for that matter)

@Sen'val haven't played PZ in quite a while, so I'll sadly not be able to help troubleshoot it until I do get into PZ again.
MrWalnut 28 Nov, 2022 @ 3:46am
Is it possible to have certain clothing designs not able to be learned?
David Hogins 3 Nov, 2022 @ 1:46am
Its a bit pointless being able to craft leather jackets only at tailoring 8, which is when you can actually fix them
Sen'val 9 Sep, 2022 @ 10:06am
Not sure if perhaps it's a conflict but I'm not getting XP from crafting new clothes or ripping up old clothes, only for patching clothes.
EastDawn 3 Aug, 2022 @ 2:36am
Awesome mod, now I can sew any kind of clothes from any kind of mods whenever I want
Indigena84 29 Jul, 2022 @ 11:16am
Thanks for your answer, I dont know about modding, so was just asking from my experience in game, but I just tought what if it add a nav button of some sort to a "Tailor Designer" crafting window, like QOL Equipment Tab has, as a character info but with changing clothes and preview, well just imagin
@Saint JimmyI did added to an existing game and had no problems, I reloaded the game once without playing for everything to set down, and used "mod manager server" to ensure it loads in the proper order... works great with TailorFix even with over a hundred mods that I have in my MP tough.
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 29 Jul, 2022 @ 10:15am
@Saint Jimmy that should be possible, as it doesn't add new items, just recipes.

@Indigena84 not entirely sure how i'd go about that, considering it's the crafting part which automatically sets it in there.
Saint Jimmy 29 Jul, 2022 @ 8:53am
can this mod be added to a already existing save?
Indigena84 23 Jul, 2022 @ 10:20pm
Kindly asking if its possible to add a cascaded right clic menu specially on ripped sheets, cause after learning a few designs, the menu fills the entire screen (Im playing in less than 1920x1080), any way, congratulations for this awesome mod!
Richard Mc Nutbuster 2 Jul, 2022 @ 3:53am
i just noticed the denim vest actually is "not repairable" so that makes alot of sense that it didnt work lol, thanks for the answer regardless
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 1 Jul, 2022 @ 5:10pm
@Richard IIRC, my mod doesn't change anything in regard to fixing holes, but it should be possible to tweak it.
As for the second part, the vest probably isn't scripted with any material for natural repair, hence it's not possible to fix either - the idea of this mod here was to provide a way to "craft" clothing based on it's repairability, not based on what clothing the base-game or mods contain, meaning if it's written to be repairable, it should be craftable and i probably won't return for a while to make a mod which makes other modded clothing repairable - though you could request the original mod author of the other mod to add the ability to repair it - which in turn should make it craftable with this one.

In this regard to anyone interested in modifying this mod, i do not mind them reuploading a modified version of this to suit their own needs.
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 1 Jul, 2022 @ 5:10pm
@heromedel in regards to crafting, it shouldn't matter which type of needle you use and repairing clothing shouldn't have been touched by this mod. While i'm not against the idea, i didn't intend to add new items (like a leather working needle).

@Sereina If they provide them the default tailoring way, then you should be able to in theory. Not entirely sure if it were to use custom materials though, been a while.
Richard Mc Nutbuster 1 Jul, 2022 @ 1:52pm
could this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2747565374
per chance get a patch? it adds a denim vest as its only added item, and it feels akward not being able to repair/make it
Richard Mc Nutbuster 24 Jun, 2022 @ 8:00am
is there a way to remove the lvl8 tailoring need for fixing holes of basegame?, cuz its kinda dumb i can make an entire piece of clothing, but not fix a singular hole
Crowflake 4 Mar, 2022 @ 8:02am
If I install Repair Any Clothes, will I be able to craft stuff like sneakers, boots or bulletproof vests?
heromedel 16 Feb, 2022 @ 10:12pm
I wish the needels worked the other way around

as it is: make any clothes you want with a suture needle but patching them requires a needle.

how it should be: Patch holes with a suture needle, need a real needle to make brand new clothes... Idea: and a leather working needle to add leather patching.
Necrosx 3 Feb, 2022 @ 11:07am
I use it in multiplayer, but I've tested in single player as well, and none of the recipes show up in the tabs. Even if I search for something using filter all it doesnt show up. Disabling the other mods that gives a tailoring tab causes the recipes to appear however.
[兵器] - Yuhiko  [author] 3 Feb, 2022 @ 7:44am
@Necrosx uncertain how it'd behave if a different mod added a category and gave it the very same display name, but otherwise it should just be merged together. (Unless it's the learning recipes, that i believe i forgot to switch over to tailoring, but the learned ones should appear there)
If you by chance use multiplayer with that mod, i currently did not have the chance yet to test it there, or rather, since the update with multiplayer.
Will take a short look into singleplayer later today (if i remember), if not feel free to annoy me a little over on discord for a more active reply (currently have steam off quite a bit): Shurutsue#0987
