Multipliers are definitly applied. But it's not as hyper ultra as some other mods, where you always get the super mega ultra best stuff on each chest, it's just meant to make your luck better and all in all those Items are only getting interesting on Level 40+ as you switch them so fast before.

So i've been using it and the biggest benifit is the gold drop. I haven't been very lucky with magic items
