an FOV slider would work, but its more like changing the position of the camera when aiming. To like make it seem closer or something similar. It might break some camera movement in some way but it would definitely add to them immersion.

@Navvara70CASE.GIFT Not without code involved. If you want to just enable it for someone on the server just once, you could just force change his third person enabled client console variable to true. If you want ALL players to force into thirdperson, just override all the checks for thirdperson_etp to true.

@REKTMASTER17 What you mean changing angle of the view? Initially when I was developing the original prototype, I especially made FOV not changeable so all the guns aiming zoom could be applied to the camera. When John Mason was refactoring my code and adding all the convars, he made FOV configurable which overrides original CalcView FOV. I could reconfigure it to use FOV multiplier instead of a constant FOV value which will keep FOV changing abilities and allow FOV customisation of some sort

does it work for admins? i mean when for example i am admin then can i make other players be on third person?

Very neat mod, the third person actually works and you can see the model unlike other mods. One major suggestion is that whenever the character aims, there should be a setting updating the angle of the camera, This could easily make this the best mod for thirdperson on gmod, unless this is aleady a feature then I dont know how make it work.

I was playing through the HL2 campaign where Alyx beats up the cops, and after that while I use the third person WASD is reversed.

i am curious about one thing, does the thirdperson have a switch between free camera (like in PUBG) or it will always stay on you PM

Just note which one you use as some (while compatible with this) could cause glitches such as duplicatiion of flashlights.

I would say use thirdperson flashlight addon. It works perfect for any thirdperson play session

Is there a way to make the flashlight point fowards at all times? It currently follows the movement of your right hand, which means it points in the completely wrong direction if you're using, say, the crowbar, or a grenade, or have your weapon holstered entirely. It's probably just a weird oversight, but is there some sort of bandaid fix?

Some of your mods must be incompatible with the camera to the point of crashing. Disable all of them and see if it starts working.

i checked description. not seeing anything telling me incompatible addons. :T
